Chapter 2: WHO ARE WE?
In what seemed to be a conference room, a group of we'll dressed men all giving off respect demanding glows. The aura in the room matched the expressions they had on their faces, they all looked very tensed as they discussed a seemingly serious issue.
"I told you we shouldn't have let Stone handle those kids, he's only good for one on one fights not a chase. We all know the amount of power they posses and someone will always want it, and now Stone let them slip off!" a silver haired man with matching eyes and clothes ranted.
"Calm down Lucian, we'll find them. I'm sure Brújula can find them, he has eyes round the entire planet. There'll only be a problem if some random god picked them up and they become loyal to him or her." a much calmer man spoke, he looked more like a lady than a man and that earned him the name Feman.
"And how are we sure that isn't happening right now Feman" Lucian was obviously not calming down. He seemed to be particularly agitated over something but no one could tell what it was, he was usually the sit back and watch guy and seeing him act at the fore front of this issue was totally concerning.
"I'll go after them, we're a group of some of the most elite gods. No one will take them in if they know we're after the ones after them, we don't need a hidden chase at this point we make it open and cause a panic. They'd be out in no time" Brújula succeeded in calming down the atmosphere, he was the founder of the group nearly a thousand years ago .
At the time, there was an attack from unknown creatures clearly from out of the universe, it was a clear indication that the multiverse existed.
The creatures came in form of tiny space pebbles but far lighter as they blew into space in flocks of thousands, forming several shapes while in flight.
The universe's gods didn't take them seriously initially, thinking it was one of the many wonders created by the supreme God until they began entering into different planets and transforming into scary shape shipting monsters.
The monsters ravaged every planet in the universe, destroying both living things and non living thing with even the most technologically advanced planets staging little resistance to them.
gods of some planets resorted to helping their planet as the situation was becoming dire, but it turned out they were intelligent creatures. Since gods were immortal, they found a way to trap their souls and put them to sleep for a thousand and one years.
This prompted Brújula who was then a young god to join his father in battling the alien creatures, he had chased one of the aliens to a dark alley where it shape shipted into a god with very powerful aura.
It released all of its energy into young Brújula before turning into speckles of dust and disappearing. After getting a little acquainted with his new energy levels, Brútala assembled a group of prodigies to form the most brutal force in the universe and joined forces with the elite gods to save the universe.
They tracked down every last monster and ended them except one, it seemed to be the leader. It was larger, smarter and had way more power than the rest of them, but the most striking thing about it was it's aura. It had a cool- dangerous, chill aura which only protectors had, it kept up a fight with several gods before mysteriously disappearing through a dark hole.
Many people had speculated that it went back to it's universe, but the top gods knew that according to universal code, only one individual cannot leave the universe. This meant it was still somewhere on Earth creeping and waiting for a perfect opportunity to strike.
Brújula and his group have lived on together since then and has on several situations proven to be their leader.
The meeting had now come to an end and they were all in high spirits as they walked out of the conference room having come to a reasonable conclusion, it was one of the few meetings they'd had that didn't end up in a fight.

"What makes you think he's dangerous, he obviously emotionally unstable right now and needs people around him, if not for anything else for the fact that he saved our lives we owe him. Some nice words wouldn't hurt Alex, now drop your enormous ego and let's try to get out lives back on track!" Cynthia was furious at her brother, she didn't get why he wouldn't just drop his shoulders and help himself.
Alex was still not on good terms Thibaut but that wasn't the reason he wanted them to leave and Cynthia wasn't getting that, he was only trying to protect them both.
If Thibaut was always being that unstable, he could erupt at anytime and harm them immensely. And the fact the his powers were at god level already at his young age was surprising not to mention he was undercover on Earth, he was definitely up to something but he just couldn't figure out what it was.
He also knew that given the fact that they didn't have powers, they wouldn't be able to pose any resistance should Thibaut decide to turn on them. With these thoughts, Alex concluded that he had to get himself and his sister out no matter what.
Alex walked slowly to his sister, he had to explain things to her and get her on his side so that they could find a way out before Thibaut got out of his cold mood. He wasn't used to peace talking but he had to do it now or they could both risk being killed.
After what seemed like eternity, Cynthia finally succumbed to his unending pleas. They were about to find an exit when Thibaut appeared in front of them, beads of tears hung around the corner of his eyes. He's aura was increasing and was threatening to erupt again.
Amidst the pain of trying to hold back his exploding energy, he mumbled what seemed to be a plea. "Please stay, I've been alone for several years and trust me it's not very fun. Think about it, if you go out you'll be found by those ruthless gods. Worst part is you don't know what they want with you....."
Alex and Cynthia looked at each other as he said that, they hated to admit it but he was right. "and if you stay, I could give you powers far beyond your imagination and we could form a group. That way, we all could walk the entire universe safely knowing that we can cater for ourselves".
Thibaut seemed calmer with every word he said, he had gotten them where he wanted and he was satisfied with his achievement.
As he watched them ponder, he thought ' I just have the feeling that they will be the right vessels for Master Chen's plan, but what I don't know is exactly what they are' , he squinted his eyes as he once again tried to read their minds but failed.
Whatever they were, they were definitely powerful and he had to get close to them before they discover themselves.
"Well, if you put it that way we would stay. But I'm not cleared about the power part, from the little I know, all bodies can't accommodate the same amount of power. So if you're infusing it into our body, how are we sure we won't blow up" Cynthia spoke for the first time since she yelled at her brother.
Thibaut once again had that cold look as he explained things calmly " I've tried it out and corrected every mistake" Thibaut opened a drawer and brought out five bracelets, he picked two out and handed them over to them.
As soon as the siblings held them, they gave off a very bright glow and automatically fixed themselves on their wrists.
As the power crept up their body, there was a sudden outburst of energy that resisted it. It took only a few seconds for the weird energy to overpower that of the bracelet Thibaut gave them, shattering them in the process.
Alex was glowing a bright red while Cynthia was glowing Silver, they looked like human versions of the sun and moon as they stood obviously dazed by what happened to them.
They felt the power from the bracelets briefly before it was shattered, and they knew this was a totally different and more powerful one.
They felt their new power by trying out different super abilities they had seen in movies, Alex was always the collected one but he couldn't help but go full childish on this.
Thibaut stood still, eyes and mouth wide open as he stared at the overly excited siblings, he had been much more shocked when he realized what they were that he spoke out "I can't let them go". Luckily for him, the siblings were to immersed in their little power party to hear him.
After about thirty of minutes of joking around, Alex and Cynthia decided to ask Thibaut if he knew what had happened to them earlier.
As they approached the lab where he was, he turned sharply to them while making calculated steps backwards. He looked terribly scared like he was standing in front of a hungry Lion, "you both are the... the..." he seemed too scared to even mention the word.
"What are we?!", Alex and Cynthia asked together. The tension was rubbing off on them, were they some kind of forbidden creatures?
