Chapter 320: 320. The 'Warmth' of a Beach: The 'volley' and the 'ball' - Part 3

A 'GINKEN' a weapon which consists itself out of 'Spirituality' and extend another human's power.
These weapons are created upon a Human's birth at which point they're then known as a warrior with a title of 'Spiritual Duelist'.
Over centuries over millions of 'GINKENS' have been born and over a consistent lifespam, these weapon have became known as a tradition that many people end up knowing, their existence requires a strong body, a strong mind and a well durable body and only if a human manages to reach these specific 'importances' the 'GINKEN' will reveal itself and connect upon another's wielder Aura, which is built out of 'Spiritual Force' or in simple ways 'Pressure'.
About 75% of the world's population remain alive with such weapon and 3% of them are known to have Demon Blood, the main source that embraces up a 'Half-Demon'.
In current timeline, a woman - a Godess and the enhancer of the first 'GINKEN' appearances named 'Zero' lurks around the World with 98% of the people unaware about her, and with it, people believe that the World's finally been cleared of Demons, however many of the early-arriving Demons are still standing among the World.
[Planet Earth - Innerlight City - Beach - Thursday, 9:20 a.m.]
To begin with, Elliot and Myles were gently tapping the sand with their feet. "This is so dumb! Who'd splash the sand on which we stand?!" Myles questioned, holding his lemonade, trying to get out of sand. "It's disgusting on bare feet! I don't mind dried sand, but this - this is just irritating." Elliot and Myles kept on pulling their feet from the sand.
"Well, at least that way you two won't be able to lurk around femininity much, understandable, correct?" Giggled Jun, standing in front of them. "You did that?! Out of everyone, I expected you the least to do this!" Jun tapped her shoulder and winked. "Enjoy, I'll be at the inner bar, alongside Yukito, tah tah!" With a sweeping leg backward, Jun backed off. "I swear, I will abuse her breasts at maximum once I get out of this-" But as Elliot spoke so, a rock came flying at him out of nowhere, when his eyes became squiggly and immediately, Myles noticed how Elliot began seeing flying stars above his head, circling.
"Or not-" At last, Elliot's body wobbled when face palming the sand.
[Planet Earth - Innerlight City - Beach - Thursday, 9:22 a.m.]
"Hey, Captain! Are you ready to come and join us!" Laughed Asuka, peeking from the corner once Yukito had his T-shirt dressed and was sitting in the corner on the interior, looking on his phone. "No..."
"Come on, why not?" Asuka made a very unhappy face, while looking at him. "I hate heat..." "But come on, Ayuka is just fine, why don't we join them. They're playing volleyball! Besides, we can subathe." Giggled Asuka while looking right at Yukito who didn't even decide to look her up in the eyes. "I'm sure you'd love to sunbathe, show off..." In that moment Yukito continued to use the phone. "Captain, you're no fun...."
"Hey, Yukito. We need a bit of ice. Elliot and Myles got a bit too burnt." Claimed Shion, coming from the side, Yukito's eyes instantly became squiggly. "Are you nuts? Why do you ask me to give you ice?" Questioned Yukito, annoyed of them. "Your ice is so juicy and-" But before Shion spoke, Yukito immediately swooped with his arm and created a massive ice wall. "Just go, don't ever say that again!" Yukito shouted, while he was very uncomfortable, alongside annoyance. "D-Did I say something?" Shion claimed, heavily confused.
"But thanks, Yuki!"
"Yuki?! My name is not Yuki!"
[Planet Earth - Innerlight City - Beach - Thursday, 9:25 a.m.]
The volleyball field was already ready. "Alright boys. I hope you're ready for a beat down!" Called Ayuka, being quite confident. "I couldn't care less... If we lose or if we win... I only came here for one reason." Tim claimed, with crossed arms. "And that is?" Sakami wondered, standing relaxed and looking at him expressionless. "To knock the shit out of that Elliot and Myles!" Tim yelled when seeing both of them already behind Ayuka and Sakami.
"Yikes!" Myles and Elliot both hopped and tried to run, when Tim stretched his right palm on the side and unleashed out burning flames where everyone looked at him. "Okay! He's going nuts!" Elliot grabbed Myles in his arms when Tim instantly swooped with his arm forward and unleashed a burning wave, when it passed between girls and just barely burnt Elliot's pants. "Hey! Hot! Hot! Hot! God!" Instantly, Elliot turned on his 'Godspeed' and bursted at high speed, when the sand flew into the air and pressed its pile on the girls when Elliot jumped in the water with Myles, but right in that instant, as soon as they came in touch with water, Elliot realized something.
"Uh-Oh...." Instantly both Myles and Elliot were zapped due to coming in contact with water when their skeletons were seen, both of them had their hair messed up and their bottoms raised up from falling into water. "Never use electricity in contact with water..." Myles said, exhaling out smoke from his mouth. ".... Tell me about it..."
But right when Tim was yelling at Elliot and Myles, the sand piled back on the field when boys immediately became embarrassed and uncomfortable, Tim made a large step backward, when cycling with his arms forward and instantly backing away. Sakami held her burnt elastic of near her right shoulder at which point it was almost uncovering her right breast, it was same for Ayuka, Ume and Kylin who stood there.
With a girly scream, Tim was instantly afraid of them while they were looking at him, either expresionlessly or unamusingly, Codey, Saraki and Kanji were looking away. "Boy, he really wasn't being careful...." Kanji claimed, looking at Codey as the two whispered.
"So now you're trying to strip us by burning our bikini's elastic?" Ayuka wondered, when Tim's body immediately froze, after seeing three feminine bodies in gigantic form, looking down at him with creepy faces. "Wait! I'm so sorry! Please! It was a mistake! I'll do anything, just please, mercy me!" Tim fell onto his knees, bowing when begging for mercy. "Yeah... This day is not in his favor, must I say..." Codey sighed, when stretching his left arm, supporing his elbow with his other palm.
[Planet Earth - Innerlight City - Beach - Thursday, 9:30 a.m.]
At last, the girls were back in different bikinis. "Alright, we're all set. You're lucky we had additional set of swimming wear." Claimed Kylin when holding the volley ball. "Alright champ! Get ready to play." Codey claimed went 'bonking' Tim's head with his knucles when Tim's body wobbled on the right while barely moving, with squiggly eyes. "Yo, would you snap out of it. They didn't beat you up, be glad!" Codey added when trying to retrieve Tim's normality. "... Yes ..."
"What do you mean 'yes'? Get on your side of the field and get ready before I make you do it." Claimed Codey, when Tim calmly hopped to the side, but right in that moment, Saraki hit the top of Tim's head, when slamming him into the sand. The girls, alongside Kanji and Codey all became confused.
"Hey! What the hell man?!" Tim asked, when having a comedian-angry face. "It worked, now get on your feet and let's begin the game." Saraki claimed, with his arms crossed.
"Yeah man I get it! No need to smash me into the sand!" But at last it began.
[Planet Earth - Innerlight City - Beach - Thursday, 9:31 a.m.]
With the positions set, Codey seemed to have been quite confident. "Trust me you ladies. You got nothing compare to me..." Claimed Codey, when preparing the stance position.
"Oh, yeah? We'll see about that! This is not my first time playing it either." Ayuka was on her position to serve the ball when spinning her on the index finger. "You can show off as much as you want, but I'm definitely not losing to girls!" After Codey smirked, Ayuka made a knowing smile. When throwing the ball in the air when making a smaller sprint, jumped and with an outstretched arm hit the ball right over to the next side, when landing on the floor and preparing her position alongside others.
As the ball went spinning through the air, Codey immediately swooped a step backward, turning his body and quickly passing the ball toward Kanji who quickly prepared. "Saraki!" Without wasting time, Saraki already prepared when Kanji hit the ball with an overhand into the air, setting it for Saraki who jumped and with his left arm hit the ball instantly toward the very middle of the other side of the field.
Immediately, Ume jumped forward when stretching an underhand arm and quickly letting the ball to strike the top of her hands which bounced the ball in the air. "Sakami!" Instantly, Ayuka jumped over Ume and hit the ball with an underhand setting the ball for Sakami to hit, when Sakami quickly dashed forward and jumped with a hit at the back side of the boy's position. "I can't get that one!" Kanji yelled at which point he noticed how the ball was about to land on the floor. "I didn't agree to this at all!" Tim jumped forward, slide his stomach on the sand when blocking the ball and bouncing it to the front. "I got it, Codey!" Without wasting, Saraki immediately received the ball when with an overhand quickly set the ball for Codey to run and with a twisted hop in the air swung his right arm and smashed the ball at Sakami, but before he could do that, Sakami jumped in front of him and blocked the ball to push it onto the other side. "Are you kidding mr?! For a short girl you know how to jump!" Codey yelled.
"I got it!" Saraki quickly received the ball and passed it toward Kanji, who quickly slid on the sand and with an overhand set the ball. Codey knew that he was up so, he quickly allowed the ball to spin when once again jumped and smashed the ball, but due to that, in the moment that happened, it flew to the very middle and Ayuka was forced to receive the ball and pass it over to Sakami. Sakami slipped backward and with an overhand quickly hit the ball into the air, setting it for Kylin at which point she immediately dashed and with her left arm and jump smashed the ball back onto the opposite side, at a late arrival and due to the ball's speed, Tim tried to receive the ball to stop it from hitting the floor, but with an extended leg, the ball bounced at Kanji who was surprised and tried to react quickly, however in return, the ball was too fast and hit Kanji into wrists, bouncing outside of the line.
"Are you kidding me....?" Codey sighed, feeling a bit embarrassed. "I'm sorry... I was not on my guard..." Kanji sighed, scratching the back of his head. "Don't worry. It was Tim's fault." Codey prepared a kitty face. "Hey! I tried to prevent it, I didn't get it on the perfect position, come on!" Tim complained when Codey faced away from him and smirked. "Oh well..."
"Alright! We got the first point!" Ayuka called, when the girls quickly smiled and nodded. "What can I say, too easy." Giggled Ume, but right in that moment, the girls switched their positions, at that moment, Kylin stood behind, with Ayuka put on the front next to Sakami.
Kanji picked up the ball and walked behind the line when Kanji threw the ball in the air and instantly ran, hopping in the air with a dash and then sweeping his arm, slamming it into the ball when making the serve, the ball flew on the opposite team at which point, Ume already knew that she was next. "Mine!" Ume slid under the ball when quickly setting the ball in the air and the then made a step back. Kylin sprinted with a jump and hit the ball onto the opposite side, instantly Kanji reacted and swooped under the ball when quickly using the underhand hit and passed the ball over when Tim quickly swooped forward and passed the ball. "Hit it!" Codey jumped when swinging the ball, but immediately Ayuka jumped and blocked the ball onto the opposing team, Tim quickly jumped down and received the ball as it bounced in the air.
Kanji quickly set the ball to the front at which point Saraki jumped and hit the ball over, but this time, because Ayuka was unable to block it again and was not in correct position to receive the ball, it was relying on Ume, but as soon as Ume tried to go for it, a random rock under the san caused her to slip and immediately she faced palmed the sand, when the ball landed on top of her head and rolled down onto the sand, making the boy's team to score. "Great job, Saraki!" Codey smiled, giving him a thumbs up.
"Hey, Ume. Are you alright?" Wondered Ayuka, crouching next to her and gently grabbing her back, Ume raised her head and instantly puked out sand with very unamused face. "I'm fine..." She claimed, embarrassed. "Don't worry. It happens to the best of us..." Ayuka helped Ume to stand up when the boy's team finally switched positions.
"This time, Kanji was put at the front instead of Saraki who was set back, while Tim was put on the left side of the back, behind Kanji, with Codey on the left. "1 to 1, not bad..." Smiled Kylin, when preparing to for a service.
As soon as she threw it in the air and prepared to hit the ball, instantly a yellow lightning squirted behind her and with that, her upper bikini was untied, when her eyes immediately shook and heated up. Because of that interuption, the ball fell on the floor when Kylin quickly crossed her arms in front of her chest at which point, she covered it and fell on his knees. "W-what in-" Kanji wondered, looking around. "Sweet! That was perfect!" Laughed Elliot, when showing thumbs up, but right in that moment, Ayuka's eyes became unamused and by swinging her arm, a long ice rose toward Elliot and immediately, he realized when the ice froze him, his body was already cold.
"Holy crap! This is cold! W-why would y-you do that?! A-Ayuka!!!" Elliot called, while freezing in the ice. "Is it just me, or did it suddenly get cooler?" Wondered Kanji, making a smirk.
"Don't.... do that...." Tim sighed.
[Planet Earth - Innerlight City - Beach - Thursday, 11:00 a.m.]
Most of the boys were already tired, when Tim and Codey looked at them. "Hey! What the hell is wrong with you two? We only have 14 points while they have already 18, if we don't do something - we're done!" Tim called, when looking at them. "Can't I even have a break? We've been running around here this entire time. "Tim! If you think that setter is easy, it's literally the hardest one to master. You do it then!" Called Kanji, who was holding his forehead.
"All you gotta do is, run around and hit balls." Tim claimed, but when Tim spoke so, Codey slapped the top of his forehead, sliding his fingers down his face. "Tim, you don't understand what a setter means. The setter has literally the main job, if it weren't for him, we would barely be able to hit the ball." Claimed Codey, while seeing Saraki sitting on the sand. "Not just that, you try to go against Ayuka, she's agile as a freaking cheetah, she is all over the place, even I barely managed to keep up with her..." Kanji fell on his knees.
"Fine then! Switch with me, you be the setter and let's see how good you are at it..." Kanji spoke, looking up and Tim.
"Yeah, Tim. Why don't you try to compete towards this cheetah." Claimed, Kylin pointing her hand at Ayuka, who was smiling with her arms on her hip. While Tim felt unamused, heavily, he sighed. "Wait, we can use Tim as distraction, that's a good idea." Codey, Kanji and Saraki were all together, leaving Tim behind. "Yo! Hey! What are you leaving me out of?!" Wondered Tim, shouting at the distance. "Hear me out. You know how Ayuka has a tiny crush on him, maybe we can use him as a 'cheat' I bet, she will barely be able to keep herself focus. The perfect solution to winning our match.." The three of them were whispering, even making the girls feel confused.
"Come on! Aren't we supposed to be a team! Hey! Guys!" However, Tim was fully ignored. "I don't get it. How will that change her acting. Tim's been on the field this entire time and she hasn't lost her focus at all..." Claimed Codey. "Ayuka has mostly been using the middle to her advantage, and Tim was put at the back... So if we put him NEAR the middle, we can step aside and make Ayuka have a perfect view on him, you know how embarrassed she gets." Codey giggled.
"That's a brilliant idea. And we have yet to switch position, so I'm all set." Smiled Kanji.
"Come on guys! Stop ignoring me!!"

Obb_Verse - Setter -
The setter is the main contributor to the offense of the volleyball team. One of the requirements of the setter is having a delicate touch to set the ball perfectly for one of the attacking players. Communication is extremely important for the setter because they need to get the rest of the players on the same page. Without the setter, there wouldn’t be hard spikes or technical ball movement.
- Outside Hitter -
The outside hitter is also known as the left-side hitter and is the lead attacker in the offensive strategy. To be a successful outsider hitter, you must be able to jump high, be quick on your feet, and be ready to adapt to different situations. The volleyball won’t always be placed where the outsider hitter would like, so they need to be prepared for hits from a variety of places.
- Opposite Hitter -
Also known as the right-side hitter, these players need to be a perfect balance of both offense and defense. They will also get many opportunities to hit the volleyball, so similar to the outside hitter, jumping ability is vital. The main difference that sets the opposite hitter apart is their defensive responsibility. Being able to receive the serve from the opposing team is just one of the many requirements of this specialized position.
- Middle Blocker -
The middle blocker, sometimes known as the middle hitter, is the tallest player on the volleyball team. Their main role for the team is being the first line of defense against the opposing team’s hits. The middle blocker needs to read the other team’s attackers to quickly raise his or her arms above the net in a blocking attempt. However, this is not a defense-only position. The middle blocker will have chances for quick points throughout the set.
- Libero -
The libero can become confusing for non-volleyball players. They can only play on the back row of the court, and because of this, are the ideal person to receive a hit from the opposite team. There are set rules the libero needs to follow, such as not attacking the ball at the net, playing a set for an attacker from the front, and more. You can always tell a libero apart from the rest of the team because they wear a different colored jersey.
