Preface
I once knew a girl made of song and sorrow. She was born with a heart of glass, a mind of gold, and a song ready to sing. As you might expect, this girl made of song and sorrow didn't have an easy beginning. As I watched her grow, her sorrow steadily tuned out her song. From her first steps, to her first day at high school, I was with her the entire way. I remember her innocent laughter ringing in my ears, and as time when on I only heard her sobs. The sound of her laughter was a distant memory.
I saw what the world did to the girl of song and sorrow, I saw her lose touch with the power of the song she possessed.
Her society brought her down.
The people around her did not love her the way she deserved.
She went each day unheard and unnoticed.
She was forgotten and unacknowledged by who people that were always supposed to be there for her.
The world she longed to live in was within her reach, but she did not realize it at the time. As her heart of glass cracked, and her mind of gold thought of sorrow, she slowly forgot the song she was meant to sing.
I did not want her to completely forget her song, I did not want her to give up. So I did what anyone in my position would do, I gave her a second chance. I gave her the opportunity to create that perfect world for herself.
This is her story.
