Michael's P. O. V

School closed rather quickly, the team had a meeting with coach which lasted a while. He asked me to wait behind to talk to me about something important.

Once everyone was off the field he walked around the field expecting me to follow.

"Tomorrow is a very important game for you."Coach said, I nodded, "it would be a shame to bench you."He said. My heart immediately skipped a beat, what did he mean by benching me? Have I not suffered enough?!.

"Don't worry I won't."Coach said, I relaxed my tensed nerves, "I'll make you a deal."He said.

"Which is?"I asked. "Dump that girlfriend of yours and you're off the bench."Coach said.

"Some important people are coming here to watch the game next week. It wouldn't be good for you if you didn't get a chance to play for them."coach said.

"No offense coach, but am very happy with her and I think you know the team would be at a loss without me on the field. Am not sure you would want your reputation getting ruined."I threatened.

"Are you talking back Tyler? Do you not want to play tomorrow? "he asked not expecting an answer but I answered him.

"I want to coach, but if I break up with her, then I can't play anymore."I said. I don't know why I said that or how it came out of my mouth, it confused the fuck out of me.

Coach placed his hand on his chin suggestively, I knew he just wanted me to focus but nothing seems to want to fall into place anymore.

"I expect results, you know you're the first to break my no dating rule."he said.

Correction, the first you caught, but I wouldn't let him know that.

"And you will get them."I said, "you made me captain for a reason."I added. "Don't make me regret that decision Tyler."Coach said. "when have I ever caused you to regret any decision? "I asked jovially. He glared at me and walked away from me. I ran off the field to the library to help pack up the books there.

*Library*

"There's still someone inside, lock up and keep the key, it's the spare anyways."the librarian said while clearing his stuff. "Sure."I said and started packing all the books from the tables and fixing them into their shelves.

While putting away the last book I heard some chants from the far edge of the library, I recognized the voice and went closer. The voice continued to speak I stood behind a shelf, I pushed some books to get a better view. She was pacing around the room holding her book in her hand, I stayed still and listened.

"If all perished and he remained, I should still continued to be; and if all else remained, and he were annihilated, the universe would turn to a mighty stranger." She said then stopped and dropped the book on a table.

It didn't sound all too good, she seemed to not get into the character well enough, I wanted to go over to her, but she picked up the book and went on.

"I should not seem a part of it. My love for Linton is like the foliage in the woods: time will change it, I'm well aware, as winter changes the trees."she said.

She did better than before, she sat on a chair, looking so lost. As if she was reflecting on something deep, I waited to hear more.

"My love for Heathcliff resembles the eternal rocks beneath: a source of little visible delight but necessary."she stopped and I saw emotion on her face.

"Nelly, I am Heathcliff! He's always, always in my mind! Not as pleasure, any more than I am always a pleasure to myself, but as my own being...."

Diana's P. O. V

I stayed back at the library to try and get into the story of Wuthering Heights, I had to for the project. I decided to start with the popular pages and get a feel of what went on in Catherine's head.

"If all else perished and he remained...."

I read some lines and dropped the book on the table, so clichè! What a very stupid lady! She was obviously high on something. She had nothing I could relate to, her love life was so typical, the everyday, "I can't live without you" shit.

I picked the book up and decided to go down a bit further, although I doubted I'd find anything remarkable about this "lovestory."

"My love for Linton is like foliage in the woods..."

Winter changes trees, that actually was factual and made some sense, and she was actually being reasonable. Sure she didn't like the guy, but time could change that, love needs time, love cannot just happen out of the blue. Crushes? Fuck yeah! But love? Is that even a real thing to begin with?

"Nelly I am Heathcliff!"

That line sent chills down my spine but I read on, intrigued to know where this Cathrine was going with this. What did she mean to say? How can two different entities be merged as one?.

"but as my own being...."before I could say anymore an applaud shut me up, I jumped in fright and hit my head against a shelf.

"Creep much."I said holding the back of my head. He scared the fucking shit outta me for a minute.

"Can't you learn to knock? "I asked, "this isn't your bedroom, this is the library and it's closed."he said. I pouted and closed the book, I placed it back on the shelf. He still had the hoodie I gifted him on, I picked my new hoodie from the table.

"What were you reading? "he asked while we closed the windows, I figured he was helping out at the library and I may or may not have decided the library was my new place to hang after school.

"The novel I can't toss into the bin."I said and closed a window, "it sounded good."he said. I felt something warm course through me, "yeah, Cathrine has a way with words."I said.

"You mean Emily, right? "he asked staring at me, "who the heck is Emily?!"I asked a bit confused for a split second. Oh! Author!

I mouthed an o after I realised what he meant.

"And not the wordings, I meant you sounded good reading that stuff."he said. I blushed but looked away so he wouldn't see while we walked over to the main entrance.

He closed the library and we walked through the halls, School was empty, expect a janitor, I suppose, seeing a mop.

"You should record audio books."he said, "me? I don't think so, I rather balance equations with my free time..."

"Or do some spicy dance numbers"he teased, I hung my mouth open in shock, he won't be letting that one slide anytime soon.

"Are you excited about the game? "I asked him, he nodded, and all became silent. We stopped by the field, I took my bag and he took his football.

"Why do you carry that around? "I asked, "lucky football, I toss it around a few times before an important game."he said.

"And you always win every game afterwards? "I quickly asked.

"Are you making fun of my Jerry? "he asked referring to the football. "Oh wow! He names his balls"I said dryly.

"The one on the left is Lucas and the one on the right is..."I cut him off by snatching his ball from him.

I ran away from him laughing, "come back! Diana! "he yelled, "go long! "I yelled from half way across the field and threw the ball. He didn't need to go that long because the ball didn't go that far. He caught it effortlessly without even taking a dive.

"My turn."he said, he tossed the ball and I saw why he was our school's QB.

I ran as fast I could, looking above me trying to catch the ball, I jumped up to catch it in midair.

I succeded but fell hard against the grass, I heard quick footsteps coming towards me.

"Are you okay? "he asked sounding almost worried, I couldn't tell if he was worried about the ball or about me actually.

"We're fine."I said, "and I caught your throw, it was no biggie."I said humouring myself, clutching tightly unto the ball.

Michael tried to take the ball but I wouldn't let him, he attempted again but I got on my feet and ran away from him.

I was laughing my heart out while he ran after me in hot pursuit.

I looked around to see him gaining up to me, and before I could think, I felt two strong pair of arms around me lifting my feet off the ground.
