"Xiao Yunhai!!! You!!!" Xiao Lie's enraged shout echoed through the entire hall.
Xiao Che's sword intent was never on Xiao Lie, Xiao Lingxi, Xia Hongyi or Xia Yuanba. But he did put his sword intent pressure on Xia Qingyue. After all, he had to show her place.
Xiao Lie was in front of sweating and kneeling Xiao Yunhai. His enraged state Xiao Lie had released his real cultivation of [2nd of Earth Profound Realm].
The clan elders who were either lying down on the floor or were kneeling, gasped sensing Xiao Lie's real cultivation. After all, there was no Earth Profound Realm cultivator in Floating Cloud City.
The strongest cultivator in the city was the clan master of Xiao Clan, Xiao Yunhai who was currently forced to kneel in front of Xiao Lie. His cultivation was at [9th of Spirit Profound Realm].
Even before Xiao Che helped his grandpa raise his cultivation, Xiao Lie was the strongest cultivator in the Floating Cloud City. But Xiao Yunhai's stature of clan master is the only thing that made his reputation higher than Xiao Lie.
But now that Floating Cloud City has their first Earth Profound Realm practitioner in Xiao Lie, his reputation would slowly raise up more than Xiao Yunhai.
Xiao Lie got in front of Yunhai and clutched him by his collar of his robe. He picked up Xiao Yunhai and threw him a little bit away.
Seeing Xiao Lie confronting Xiao Yunhai, Xiao Che extracted his sword intent pressure over the crowd. After all, he wanted to pass his grandpa the spotlight.
Meanwhile Xiao Lie was enraged. He was fucking angry. There was a limit to which a man can endure to. He lost his wife, his son and his daughter-in-law. He nearly had given up on life at one occasion. But for sake of his daughter and grandson, he kept fighting.
He knew that Xiao Yunhai was a two faced snake. He might have fooled many people with the generous acting of his but he didn't fool Xiao Lie.
And now that Xiao Yunhai had the guts to try to poison his grandson, Yunhai better be ready for the beating that is coming his way. Even if he knew that the poison wouldn't hurt his overpowered grandson, but still his paternal instincts kicked in and he lost his cool.
Xiao Lie then yelled at Xiao Yunhai. "Xiao Yunhai, I won't forgive you when you have tried to poison my grandson. I don't care that if you are my clan member or my clan master, I won't forgive you."
Bringing out a sharp double edged sword, he put the sword right at Yunhai's neck. Xiao Yunhai then hurriedly said. "Brother Lie, at least let me explain myself here!!"
Even in his enraged state, Xiao Lie showed some mercy towards Yunhai and gave him the chance to explain himself. Xiao Lie took the sword away from Yunhai's neck and nodded towards him. Xiao Yunhai started coughing and huffed to get the control of his breath.
Xiao Che sighed at his grandpa's attitude. He tried a lot but he couldn't bring back the fiery Xiao Lie that was back in the day. Even after Xiao Che's training and growth, Xiao Lie had managed to get back only some of his fiery attitude. The troubled times had humbled him greatly.
The others might have not noticed it but Xiao Che surely did. Xiao Yunhai was actually using this time to gather profound energy in his palms. Xiao Che immediately knew that Yunhai has plans to attack his grandpa now.
Xiao Che had the urge to shake his head in disappointment. 'Stupid cultivators and their obsessively stuck up arrogance.' Xiao Che thought wryly.
Xiao Yunhai acted like getting his breathing and stood up in front Xiao Lie. He then said lowering his head, acting ashamed. "Elder Lie, I am very sorry. I wanted to say is that you should just DIE!!!"
At the end of his speech, Xiao Yunhai directed all the gathered profound energy which was constricted into a dense ball towards Xiao Lie's torso.
Xiao Lingxi gasped seeing her father getting attacked all on a sudden. Xiao Hong, who was a friend of Xiao Lie, also gasped seeing Xiao Lie getting attacked by Xiao Yunhai. Xiao Hong also went with Xiao Che to pick up Xia Qingyue for the wedding.
But Xiao Lie was ready for Xiao Yunhai's attack. His posture might have looked like he was relaxed but he was on alert. After all, he knew Xiao Yunhai's real personality. So, the fifth elder of Xiao clan just knew that Yunhai would strike cowardly like the coward he is.
If it was the previous rusty Xiao Lie then he wouldn't have noticed the attack that Yunhai did. It was a secret attack of Xiao Clan after all. It was an attack that the founder of Xiao Bieli created. But alas, this was just an imperfect attack.
After training to the bones with Xiao Che, Xiao Lie now has the capability to detect the slight sparks of profound energy that Xiao Yunhai did.
Using the double edged sword, Xiao Lie directly slashed through the dense ball of profound energy. He then kicked the shocked Xiao Yunhai start on the chest, making him fly back quite a bit.
Xiao Lie then said. "Brother Yunhai, for so long I have tolerated your nonsense. You have tarnished the clan's name being the clan master of it. You two faced snake, I know that you won't even hesitate to burn the whole clan down if it means getting something for you. You have tarnished you father's name, my father' name and most importantly, our ancestor Xiao Bieli's. By killing you, I shall take over the clan master's duties. Rest in eternal peace, Xiao Yunhai."
Then Xiao Lie using the flash step moves that Xiao Che thought him moved in front of a battered Yunhai and beheaded him with a single slash of his sword.
Xiao Yulong, who saw his father dying right in front his eyes, couldn't form a single word. Because Xiao Che hadn't released the sword intent pressure from him.
In front the whole wedding hall and especially the other four elders of the Xiao Clan, Xiao Lie had only killed Xiao Yunhai, the clan master but also introduced himself as the new clan master of the Xiao clan.
Many might have seen this as a tyrannical take over. But in the true sense of the phrase, this was cleaning garbage in Xiao Che's book.
Taking the first initiative, Xiao Che bowed towards Xiao Lie. "Xiao Che greets the Clan Master."
Seeing him greet Xiao Lie as the clan master, many followed suit. Out of those, the rest four elders of the Xiao Clan also accepted Xiao Lie as their new clan master. After all, there is no reason for them to refuse. Xiao Lie was already stronger than Xiao Yunhai before and now, he was stronger than ever before.
Taking the spot light back for him, Xiao Che flickered the sword intent pressure on and off to everyone. Then Xiao Che turned towards Xiao Yunhai who was still lying down on the floor. His face looked lifeless now.
Looking at Xia Qingyue for a second, Xiao Che extended his hand towards Xiao Yulong. Profound energy immediately started gather on hand. And in a second, that profound energy turned into ice energy as he said. "Frozen Coffin of Eternity."
Ice energy rushed to Xiao Yulong who at first tried to but seeing that he can't move, he then just accepted his fate.
The ice energy wrapped itself around Xiao Yulong in a shape of coffin. Then it froze Xiao Yulong in the ice case which was in shape of a coffin.
Xia Qingyue was shocked to see this move. She might not have recognized the move but she recognized the kind of ice profound energy that Xiao Che used. It was the same as her energy. She now had several questions in mind.
Looking at Xiao Lie, Xiao Che just extended his hand and muttered. "Grandpa."
Xiao Lie immediately threw the double edge sword towards Xiao Che. Xiao Che, who caught the sword, now tilted it. He now held the sword by the blade and the hilt was showing out. He then flash stepped towards the ice case and hit the ice coffin.
When the hilt of the sword hits the ice coffin, the ice coffin breaks down. With the ice coffin, the corpse of Xiao Yulong also breaks apart. Then he throws the sword in his hand back to Xiao Lie who easily catches it.
Xiao Che then said to Xiao Lie. "Grandpa, I am going back home. Send her when the preparations are done."
Saying this, Xiao Che was about to walk away when Xiao Lie asked. "Che'er, did you sign the marriage certificate? Didn't Xiao Yulong yell before you could sign?"
Xiao Che said. "I did sign it. When he yelled, I signed the marriage certificate right after it."
Saying so, this time Xiao Che walked away from the hall. Not a single soul had the audacity to stop him this time around.
For the Xiao Clan, they hated Xiao Che when the wedding started. They disdained him for being the trash of the clan. He was just a mere cripple in their eyes.
But now, they didn't dare meet his eyes. They feared him like they have feared nothing till now. The intense pressure of sword intent that had them nearly passing out caused them to have developed an extreme amount of fear for Xiao Che.
They finally understood that Xiao Che was someone that they should never offend.
If anyone underestimates Xiao Che and then decides to offend him. Then they better start rehearsing the speech of thanking god for the life they had because that is where Xiao Che is gonna send them directly.
