Chapter 25: Levelling up F&B Expertise
The news of Si Chen investing into the Seafood Restaurant was kept secret among the upper echelons of the Seafood Restaurant.
And under the strict supervising of Fang Bin, none of the Chefs dared to divulge a single word regarding the numerous food recipes which they were strenuously practicing day and night.
And within the kitchen, the atmosphere was much lighter and refreshed as compare to the dull gloomy one before, because all of the Chefs knew what the new recipes meant for their restaurant. It was hope.
On the other hand, as Chefs and Cooks, what they aim for everyday is to cook even tastier food and improve their cooking skills.
The new recipes that they had tried was a phenomenal breakthrough point for all of them, and they had all seen improvement in their skills, that filled them with a sense of confidence.
Fang Bin had eagerly visited the restaurant the past few days to try out the new dishes cooked by the Chefs, and every bite of the dishes had made the hope within his heart grow bigger and bigger.
He was practically dying to immediately introduce the new dishes for the whole world to see and taste.
When Fang Bin saw the email and the business plan that Si Chen had sent to him, he had read in for a whole hour in utter concentration, barely breathing out of his nose throughout the entire time.
After he had read the whole plan, he stood up and looked afar silently, with his heart in turmoil.
The value of this business plan was undeniable. It was simply the most mind-boggling thing he had ever read in his entire life.
All his experiences in managing his restaurant business, was not comparable to a single page in the document.
He exhaled heavily after a while, as he sat back down and softly mumbled to himself, "It is time for a share redistribution."
As he said that, he called his manager and gave her a few instructions, while he himself also began to work to implement this plan.
On the other hand, Si Chen opened his mind space and briefly went to check how much money he has.
He had around $37500 in cash right now.
This was marvelous.
Thinking back into the days when he had $200 in his pockets, he shook his head and emotionally sighed.
It was time for him to think into the future.
He remembered that he had that F&B Expertise skill that could be upgraded.
His was already at Level 2, and the passive effects had both increased by 1%.
Based on the description of the skill, he could upgrade this as long as he absorbed the relevant knowledge.
So it was time for him to start surfing the web for some information regarding this.
He quickly went onto a few websites and tried to see if it would work.

As he read on and receive this notifications, he felt a burst of joy from his heart, as he crazily started his rampage.
Getting onto every single information website, he swiftly breezed through each and every one of them, accumulating the vast knowledge within his 10 Wisdom big brain.
Learning with a much higher than average wisdom was simply refreshing to the point where he felt as though he was floating on clouds.
The numerous lines and words on the websites turned into knowledge that was deeply imprinted within his mind at a rapid pace that even Si Chen himself felt it was unimaginable.
This speed, in contrast to learning in the past, was akin to comparing the speed of a snail to a leopard.
'Hehe, won't I score full marks in all my exams if I concentrate on studying then?' This thought flashed by in Si Chen's mind, and he hurriedly grabbed onto this thought, and contemplated.
Although he had no much use for schools right now, it won't hurt for him casually achieve outstanding results in the National High School Exam and create a name for himself.
He refocused his thoughts back onto learning, and a few more notifications popped in his head.

Si Chen inhaled a deep breath, and he continued his onslaught on knowledge.

A few hours passed, and now his eyes were still swiftly darting about on his computer, his right hand continuously pressing the down button.
After he had finished reading through this website, another notification rang in his head.

And when Si Chen heard this, he heaved out a sigh of relief.
At long last, he was ultimately done. Si Chen exclaimed within his heart.

It took him a few hours of blood, sweat and tears for him to upgrade his skill from Level 2 to Level 3.
He had clicked upon countless websites, and read uncountable words, before he could reach this stage.
Seeing the numerous tabs on his computer, which indicated each and every single one of the websites he had went on, he pressed the red X button at the side, and closed the computer.
Completing this action, he felt as if a weight has been lifted off his shoulders.
His stomach abruptly grumbled ferociously, and he went to check the time.
It was time for to have dinner.
He left his room and was exposed to the less stuffy air of the living room that blew at his face.
His sister was sitting at the sofa and watching the TV, and Si Chen found a few more newcomers on the sofa today, at this time.
It was Yang Ran and Yang Yun. The pair of siblings were in the midst of a hearty conversation with Xiao Meng.
"Xiao Meng, is the food that your brother cooks really that nice? When I saw your face while eating the past few days, it seemed that way." Yang Yun lowered his voice as he turned towards Xiao Meng and asked.
"Of course! The food that my brother cooks is especially nice!" Xiao Meng nodded her little head as she said in a tone full of pride.
Because Si Chen had the Food and Beverage Expertise skill ingrained within his head, he tried his hand with cooking, since they couldn't possibly eat out all the time.
And after cooking up a dish did he realize that his cooking was, although not as great as the vibrant knowledge of food within his mind, was still slightly acceptable.
His monstrous learning ability coupled with the theoretical knowledge embedded in his mind allowed him to rapidly improve his cooking skills.
When Xiao Meng tried out his cooking, she immediately requested for Si Chen to cook for her every day.
And how could he possibly reject?
In the past, the only thing Si Chen had cooked for her was instant noodles.
Just put in a bit of hot water, stir, and all was done.
Even with this, his cooking could only be labelled with a standard as horrendous.
Thus, they stuck with eating small tidbits and stale bread as food every day.
Cooking for Xiao Meng was his duty was his older brother.
And during one of the days when he had cooked for her, the pair of siblings had coincidentally passed by.
With Si Chen's enhanced senses that came along with his strength, he could hear the sound of them swallowing their saliva, as well as their bulging eyes that were burning with greed.
And then this pair of sibling stared towards him with a pleading expression.
He, obviously, disregarded them.
And now, seeing this scene in front of him, Si Chen felt as if these two people had something bad up their sleeves.
