"I want to once again, thank Alpha Varon for volunteering to host this years conference," Alpha Maddox's voice booms across the room. "And it is my sincere hope that this would put an end to hostilities between his pack and the great of us," he finished as he sends me a glance.

"It is my wish as well, Alpha Maddox," I say.

We had eventually decided to just have the first meeting of the day.

Natalie had argued, that postponing it will raise suspicions especially with how the alarm had ring and our suspicious movements the night before.

Which is why, we are both in the grand hall, having gotten little to no sleep and trying to be as courteous as possible.

It is not easy.

"So, Alpha Varon," Alpha Sven's voice sounds. "What is your real reason for hosting this conference?"

"Yes," another voice sounds. "I hope this isn't a ploy to get us in one place and kill us?"

"That would prove a very hard battle for him."
