Chapter 7: Catching up to the present
Alusec remembered what happened when he was jumping out of the sea of lightning storms. At that time he had run out of source energy and he wouldn't have been able to get to the location where the soul realm was constructed when he leaped out with his last strand of source energy.
If not for Erin's sword that was waiting for him at the exact location where his leap would reach the limit, he would have failed to get there.
Alusec had already put two and two together and now understood how that happened. Looking at it clearly, it was impossible for them to know the exact place when his jump would lose power and would start falling.
It was because of Rin. After using that technique, Rin was able to peek into the future to know exactly what was going to happen.
She saw how it would have ended to Alusec's disaster. She borrowed power from her future self using that technique which meant her future self had the ability to do just that.
This was why she kept bleeding from her nose after the defeat of the binotaur.
Alusec hadn't thought of this at the moment but when he would come to this realization, he would see Rin as the one with the most potential among the three girls.
Alusec told Rin to remain lying on the ground. He wanted to help her regain her lifespan.
Originally with her cultivation, she should have had a life span of about five thousand years which meant she gave all that just to save Alusec so right now Alusec was feeling grateful.
He now wanted to repay the favor.
Alusec started rejuvenating her life span at a slow rate.
Since this was her life span being rejuvenated it would take a long time if Alusec used the technique he had been using earlier.
Alusec knew that in a week the first phase of the tournament would end and he didn't want that to happen until he had achieved his goal so he decided to use another technique.
This one was faster but more dangerous.
"Life span transfer!" A milky light emitted from Alusec's palm and passed energy into Rin's body.
Rin felt like her body was going through a cleansing process. The pure energy running through her insides made her feel so comfortable that she felt she might fall asleep due to the feeling of sweetness.
This process continued for a few hours before the light finally disappeared and Alusec retracted his arm.
"It's done," Alusec said with a smile.
Rin had felt refreshed internally and smiled as she sat up.
She could no longer feel weakness within.
"Thank you, Lord Alu..." Rin was in the process of speaking when Alusec suddenly coughed.
"Blergh!" Alusec coughed out a mouthful of black blood.
"Lord Alusec!"
The three females exclaimed in shock after seeing Alusec vomit out blood.
Rin was the first to move towards Alusec.
She tried to touch him but he raised his right palm, motioning for her to stop.
"I'm alright," Alusec muttered as he used the Hem of his robes to clean his lips.
"It's just a side effect of the technique I used, it will pass soon," Alusec added and proceeded to stand up.
Rhadelia had been by the side all this time without saying a word.
The three girls saw Alusec's face return back to its healthy look in a while but Rhadelia knew it wasn't as simple as Alusec was making it out to be.
Only Rhadelia knew that the technique Alusec used took more than claimed.
Alusec started walking toward the next checkpoint as the rest followed behind him.
It didn't take long before they arrived at the next checkpoint but surprisingly Alusec stopped before they could enter the place where they would have the trial.
The girls behind also had to pause since Alusec stopped right before the border.
They were wondering what Alusec was up to when he muttered something.
"Space domination!"
Trrooiinn!
Immediately Alusec took another step a spatial ripple echoed out from beneath his foot clearing the entire surrounding.
He kept walking forward and instead of the space to trap them inside like it always had and send our the demented spirits, that didn't happen.
They were able to transverse the road without getting blocked.
"We have wasted enough time traveling through the road of lost souls... Now it's time to get to the core region!" Alusec said this and flew off.

Justas Alusec said to Calicrum, it was already a month since he escaped from the void. After he dealt with the issue of bandits, he gave a strong warning to the Sovereign of Varadile city, since the people in power there preyed on the weak and helpless but feared the strong they had no choice but to listen to Alusec, since he was more powerful than they could handle. The Sovereign was a great bootlicker, he offered Alusec a castle to stay in after seeing his strength, he was trying to use riches to pull Alusec over to his side. To the sovereign's disappointment Alusec declined and warned that if he ever came back to the city and saw that the people were being oppressed, he would send the sovereign to the afterlife. Alusec imparted some training techniques to Lam and Chad, for the purpose of improving their strength before he left the city through the Vorilan forest. At present, he was in the capital city of Bardinea.
Bardinea was the capital of Kondoor, it was the most civilized and largest city in the whole of Kondoor. Commercial activities boomed a lot around here. At the shopping street, malls could be seen with different items being sold, ranging from weapons to clothing accessories to exchange of beasts for money. The city even had an auction house. There were giant castles belonging to the rich and powerful almost everywhere. Unlike Varadile city, powerful beings at the esei level could be easily seen on the streets.
In the whole of planet Kondoor, Bardinea city was the only city on the planet that had interdimensional space portals for traveling to other planets, so it was always bustling with activities.
Alusec chose to come to Kondoor for two reasons, the first being that kondoor was in the center of the vast universe and Alusec had already created spatial gateways in a particular location, thousands of years before he was betrayed, that linked to every planet in the galaxy.
Kondoor was like an airport, there was nowhere that he couldn't travel to from here.
The second reason was because Kondoor was a planet that allowed different species from every corner of the galaxy to coexist, you could find all kinds of beings on this planet, which was a cover-up for Alusec so he didn't have to hide. For example, if he went to a planet that only had octopus as the species that lived there he would stand out because he looked different and by the time the gods came to find him, he could easily be pointed out.
Alusec had been staying in a luxurious inn, at the center of the city for the past one month. The inn had floors that were grouped into - Basic(First floor), Commercial(Second floor), Royal(Third floor), King(fourth floor), and Emperor(fifth floor). Alusec was currently lodging on the Fourth floor, which only had about seven big rooms, with easily accessible hot baths. He was able to afford it, by killing beasts which were deemed exotic and rare in the Vorilan forest and selling them. These beasts were very powerful and their meats were good for improving strength, so hunters needed to go in groups to catch one of them, but Alusec hunted down more than sixty of them in less than a day. He exchanged them for the currency that Bardinea used(Kaira).
He wanted to catch up to the present, so his daily routine since he arrived was to visit the city library and read history books from morning till evening.
While researching, he found out that a lot of gods have disappeared during his imprisonment and new gods have risen over the years, the universe termed it 'rise of the new gods'. A lot of gods had disappeared from history, including himself. Alusec had a feeling that Calicrum had a hand in this and the rage which he had been keeping in check started building up again.
Any being who was born with more than one source was termed an abomination and immediately taken away by gods never to be seen again. Alusec had already started formulating a plan in his head. He decided that he would have to visit the celestial realm earlier than expected.
In the library Alusec came across a book which mentioned a war between gods that happened close to five hundred thousand years ago, causing the destruction of many planets but the details were missing.
A book also recorded down the appearance of a new species, that appeared overnight and devoured a whole planet, disappearing later on. Even gods couldn't find a trace of them in the universe when they disappeared, only for them to reappear again and devour another planet. According to the reports these were dark and fiendish looking creatures with large bat wings that fed on energy and chaos. They hadn't made another appearance after disappearing two thousand years ago.
Alusec checked another book that had the lists of all the planets in the universe but couldn't find the names of the planets that he lorded over. He was digesting all the information he got while waiting for his power to recover to 1% before using the spatial gateways that he created eons ago to travel.
On a particular day when Alusec was taking a bath in the night, the show in the celestial realm was starting. Alusec watched what was going on in the throne room through Vorilion eyes, waiting for everything to go according to plan. What Vorilion didn't know was that on the day that Alusec freed himself from the source draining shackles, he could have left the void himself. He only put on a show so that Vorilion would speak, and through Vorilion's voice, Alusec traced the sound waves, infiltrated his mind, and planted a power chaotic timer. This was set to make his energy go out of control and detonate his whole cultivation if his mind was explored by a foreign consciousness. Calicrum thought Alusec 1% recovery was enough to go toe to toe with gods but the truth was that Alusec was only as stronger than an omega level being right now and he was only able to achieve such results because mind intrusion had to do with mental power. After being imprisoned for five hundred thousand years, Alusec mental power had grown a lot. He could infiltrate a god's mind easily if they were not resisting.
After Alusec gave Calicrum the huge present he had for him, he got out of the hot bath and wore his robe.
"Time to return back to my planets.... please be safe." Alusec hoped.
