Chapter 2: Infants
I opened my eyes, I was in a room in the middle of the night. only the moonlight lets light into the room through the giant window. Looking around I could see three other cribs, and that when I realized just how small my limbs were and my body, and why is it so hard to keep my head up. That is when I figured out I was a baby again.
"So it seems that was all real and we are indeed in a fantasy world."
I looked toward the other crib and noticed the others were still sleeping. I tried talking and realized no words were coming out.
"Dammit I need them to wake up to see if they know more about this place and what kind of talents they picked"
With no other way to communicate to wake them, there was only one decision, I swallowed my pride and started crying my eyes out to get the others to wake up.
waah waah waah waah waah waah waah waah waah waah waah
Not even 10 seconds into my crying I saw others stirring in their cribs waking up, but at the same time, I heard someone open the door rushing and immediately pick me up and started patting my back to get me to calm down. It was a woman and in simple words, she was just beautiful.
Adorned in a dress that seemed to be woven from moonlight and stardust, her garment flowed with an otherworldly grace. The fabric cascaded like a waterfall of midnight-blue silk, complementing the rich ebony of her skin in a celestial dance of contrast. The gown, embellished with delicate luminescent patterns, shimmered as if reflecting the constellations above.
The neckline of the dress embraced her shoulders in an intricate pattern reminiscent of celestial bodies in alignment. The bodice was a testament to skilled craftsmanship, accentuating her natural curves with a touch of regality. As the gown extended into a flowing skirt, it whispered of cosmic secrets, each step accompanied by a gentle rustle like leaves in the softest breeze.
"Shhhh my poor baby. everything is going to be alright"
She said as she patted my back rhythmically. The way she was holding me was like nothing I had ever felt before. if this wasn't my mother then I don't wanna meet her the woman genuinely cared for him. Even if I couldn't understand a word she was saying.
I was enjoying the pats on my back and the rhythmic rocking back and forth. I swear I could hear a couple of Snickers coming from the other cribs. If it wasn't so dark in here my face would be as red as a tomato.
After I calmed down and had a few more seconds of back rubs the lady who I can only assume is my mother put me back in my crib and left the room.
"What the hell Jake, now you wake up. We had to go through the whole birthing process awake and let me tell it was not as beautiful as they say it is. The doctors thought you were dead because you weren't moving and we did too, but luckily they could still feel your heartbeat and just assume you might be a little slow."
A voice rang inside of Jake's head.
"What are you doing? how are you talking to me right now?"
"Catch up, maybe the doctors were right. Anyway, it's one of the talents the goddess let us pick out. I knew if we were going to be reborn it would be helpful to have a way to communicate and if we could somehow talk as babies I didn't know if the world we were going to use English like we do. Also, open ur system our names have changed, and see if any skills are helpful to us right now."
"How am I supposed to do that"
"oh my god, Jake shut up, I'm trying to sleep here"
Another voice rang inside both of their heads.
"Ignore Malik or I guess now his name is Key he has been grumpy all day. I think it has something to do with one of the talents he picked. Just say system in your head and it should appear."
"Ok let me try."

"Calm down it has to do with the talents we picked from the book, and Key has a lunar and solar trait that makes him stronger during the day and night. he said he wanted to be like Escanor. I'm sure with some traini..."
"Fuck You KWWAAATEEE. I don't wanna hear it. You have over 50 Total stats from the beginning that pretty much double mine. How is that even fair? you know what whatever, is what it is. Does anyone know what's going on or who that lady was?"
Mikro decided to chime in and inform Ceteus what they discovered so far.
"Luckily I picked a universal language skill, so I was able to understand the adults all day. First thing first the Goddess gave us a free skill Appraisal, but it was pretty limited only showing us people's level, and if their level is any indication of anything this house is filled with complete and utter monsters. Second the system seems to be exclusive to us, so that probably means we will be stronger than what our level indicates for example Kwatee being born a Freak. I overheard our mother the woman who came in earlier talking about hopefully we will awaken some good talents she then described what could separate the elite from the elite in this world. that was the rank of the talent you awaken and how many. anything below C is not worth mentioning too much unless they all pair well together, but won't compare to the higher ranks. B ranks are better, having just one of these can put you above your peers. A rank is for the elite they are usually the strongest in a sector and progress extremely faster than anyone else. S ranks are for the pillars of a kingdom, having terrifying amounts of power. SS and SSS are just legends anyone who has had them has gone down in history at some point and time"
"Wait you are saying S, SS, and SSS are extremely rare, but the Goddess let us pick 2 S, 3 SS, and 3 SSS doesn't that mean we are completely overpowered"
"Well pretty much, but we still need time to grow, and I got lucky and was able to pick 5 SSS and 3 SSS"
"oh yeah that makes sense, but wait if u got the extra skills why are your stats lacking."
In the empty room, you could hear a baby trying its best to sigh.
"I use the extra skills to make all of us stronger and anybody we bring along ."
"Why would you even do something like that and not make Yourself stronger"
you could hear another sigh coming from the same baby.
"For someone who took a genius talent, you're not catching on fast. we have to fight who knows how many other people with similar strength to us, and according to the Goddess they might have fewer talents than us but there a more of them. so I figured grabbing a trait that allowed me to help others grow with us would be helpful in the long run, and it seems like I made a good decision we are part of a noble family that only values strength and is going to decide a new main family on the next generation, which means people our age are competing to get stronger and other branches are birthing kids like crazy hoping one of them awakens an s rank talent or better. This next generation will be stronger than other kids our age and perfect people to recruit to help us in our journey."
"Jesus it's been a single day how did you think so far ahead already? I'm only worried about not being left behind you three."
kwattee decided to chime in since it was his turn now.
"It wasn't him it was me. my talent computer mind helped. I couldn't understand till Mikro translated for me but after I was able to get a grasp of the language and situation. We came up with the best plan of action."
"Hold on that was my plan from the beginning but you figured we could use the kids from the Mooncrest family."
"whatever doesn't matter till we can crawl anyway and teach these guys how to speak and read the language."
with that, the boys fell asleep to continue their peaceful weird lives as babies
