Chapter 1: Chapter 1- Rain and Blood
9.30 pm
"You should have finished that till now." Danny scolded
"Just give me three minutes, I'm almost done." I said sending the mail and closing the computer.
I packed my bag with all my stuffs and marched towards the exit gate with Danny, his name is something else though but since he joined the company we all call him Danny and we all kept it that way ever since.
The dark cloud were unnoticeable in the winter night which means it is about to rain anytime now. Without much talking we both headed towards the parking
"Planned anything for the new year yet?" he asked breaking the awkward silence.
"Not really, my plans are all last minute so I am not bothering myself much" I said.
With a 'oh' he turned towards his car and I turned about mine. My car wasn't the one which I can flaunt about but Danny had one of those expensive cars which he is always talking about. To be honest I'm jealous sometimes.
I sat in the car and waved my hand to Danny for a bye and drove through the road.
The rain started to pour heavily than expected. I tried to drive as fast I could. With a turn from the main street I drove through the deserted road having only a few houses.
The phone rang, it was my wife, Lavinia, she was a sweet lady who panics at every situation mainly because she has spent most part of her childhood dealing with dead parents and trauma. But it seem everything she went through made her stronger and stronger.
"Where are you?" she asked.
"I'm on my way like just 30 minutes away" I answered.
"Can you make the dinner tonight, I got stuck with some office work so it might take some time." She pleaded.
"Okay I will -" as I was about to complete a loud noise grabbed my attention, I looked forward there was nothing but I knew I hit something or someone.
I froze for a second and then keeping the phone aside I came out in the heavy rain.
My worst fear came true I hid a lady, an oldlady. All I could see was her grey hairs soaked in rain and blood.
