In the Month that Gerold had left to pacify the Pirate attacks against Lannister Ships in the Stepstones, he'd fully Annexed them into Lannister Territory, he brought back many prizes including the Reyne's Ancestral Blade of Red Rain, and House Roxton's Lost Blade of Orphan-Maker.
He'd earned a Knighthood from Ser Arthur Dayne for defeating Dustan Drumm in single combat, and three additional titles from Crown Prince Rhaegar. Every Herald from the Golden Tooth to Lannisport, from Riverrun to Harrenhall, from Storm's End to Blackhaven, and Last Hearth to White Harbor had been instructed to spread the word Of The Red Lion, Golden Gerold Lannister, Ser Gerold The Lionheart. Tywin wanted the entire realm to know.
Gerold had overcome Daemon Blackfyre to become the Youngest Knight Ever known. Tywin was so proud that he didn't even protest when Joanna begged him for another son.

(Olenna Tyrell POV)

The Red Lion, Ser Gerold Lannister The Lionheart, also called Golden Gerold Lannister. This young man had led the assault on the Stepstones to crush the Piracy against Lannister Goods.
The Boy was skilled, having Outdone Daemon Blackfyre by Becoming the single youngest person to ever become a Knight. Olenna was grateful that Gerold had selected her Janna to be his First Bride, since having someone like that in their family would only improve House Tyrell's standing when the made a bid for the Iron Throne.
Olenna also understood that young Gerold was going places, and already had Prince Rhaegar's Favor, a valuable commodity to have when Rhaegar became King. The fact that Gerold had included his Second Bride included into his War Council spoke both Volumes of his character and provided an opportunity to place Janna Closer to Lord Gerold.
''Left, fetch me Janna, Right, prepare an armed escort.'' Olenna commands her Guards. It was time for Gerold and Janna to meet.

Big Brother Gerold had won great acclaim, becoming the youngest man to ever be Knighted. Gerold had achieved the dream of the Father, bringing a Valyrian Steel Sword into their family, not one Sword but two! Red Rain and Orphan-Maker.
Jaime imagined them fighting together side by side, Red Rain in Gerold's hand, Orphan-Maker in Jaime's, The Brother's Lannister together at their strongest.

(Cersei Lannister POV)

Cersei had a love for Jaime that ran deeper than brother and sister, but she felt a growing longing in her heart for Gerold.
It was wrong, it was sinful, but God's did it feel so write inside her heart. Gerold was everything Jaime was, but so much more as well. Cersei, young as she was wanted both her brothers, and she was determined to have them both.

Rhaegar had never become more certain of whom he wanted as His Hand. Gerold Lannister had pacified the Stepstones inside of a Month. Done so through Cunning as much as overwhelming Naval Superiority.
He took Lady Ashara's advice and suppressed Bloodstone to take Grey Gallows, deprived the Grey Gallows Fleet of Valuable Drumm Ships and Naval Experience, and managed to destroy the Piracy threat to Lannister Shipping into Essos within a month.
Rhaegar knew the future was bright with Gerold as Rhaegar's Hand.

(Bellegere Otherys POV)

Bellegere had been paying close attention to the growing renown of Gerold Lannister, a young man on the precipice of manhood who had changed the dynamic of Trade as the Essosi knew it. Like Gerold. Bellegere was descended from a King, in her case King Aegon IV Targaryen, from a mistress of her own name. Bellegere wanted to meet this boy, see what he was made of, and whether or not he could offer greater pleasure than she would receive as the current Black Pearl, perhaps sending an invitation was in order....

Taena of Myr wanted to meet the man who killed her lover in the Lannister's Stepstones campaign, this was a man worthy of her womanly attentions and affection, unlike that fool who died like a dog. They might not marry, but she wanted this boy for her, the second he arrived in Essos she'd intercept him, invite him in for a week of hedonistic pleasure, and hopefully make him want her enough to take her to The Sunset Kingdoms....

Theragfromthecrag How was that? Actually never mind, this is just a filler chapter to jumpstart the next Chapter we have, also meet Aegon's future mistresses, Taena of Myr and Bellegere Otherys.
That bit with Cersei will not be fully realized until after The Rebellion. As for getting Orphan-Maker, that plus the House it belonged to is Books Canon, but not important enough to cause trouble down the line. Gerold Will be hesitant to use Myr as a Pipeline for his Goods, so that means Taena will have to give much to get that if she wanted to.
As for Bellegere, planned on her from day 1, she's Gerold primary intended mistress as she is the highest rated Prostitute in the world, her rates are huge, but sex or conversation is up to her regardless of payment or intentions, which is what makes her so interesting to involve.
