Chapter 1: The Death and Rebirth of a Legend.

Kiryu was a Legendary Yazuka.

He was born an orphan in the slums, and because of the circumstances of his life, the best and only opportunity he had to lead a better life was to join gangs.

On the beginning, when he was just a little kid, Kiryu's heart was kind and fragile, but reality and the world are not kind. And this harsh reality made his heart and mind change completely.

He started out as an errand boy, and began to climb the ranks slowly. At eighteen, Kiryu was already an active member of Tokyo's most famous and dangerous Yazuka family.

Kiryu wasn't really important. Just one more active member. But it was in one night that everything changed.

One night, he participated in the family leader's escort, and they were caught in a trap by a enemy family. A small war took place that night. Sounds of gunfire and screams were heard for hours. In the end, only Kiryu and the leader of his family remained against dozen of enemies.

After hours of shooting, the bullets had run out on both sides. All they had were their fists, bladed weapons and blunt weapons.

To protect his family's leader, Kyriu stood up against the enemy gangsters, single-handedly.

The leader of Kyriu's family, known as 'The Beast of Tokyo', was a man named Zen. He was in his forties, and he had seen a lot in his life, but he had never, ever seen anything like what he saw that day.

A boy, alone, bravely fought against dozens of enemies.

Kiryu kicked, punched, headbutted and bited. It didn't matter if he was hit and stroke by a katana, knife or knuckles. He was unstoppable.

Zen knew the boy didn't know martial arts from the way he fought, but he was still fascinated by the sight. Kiryu was like a wild beast that was suddenly released.

After what seemed like an eternity, the fight was over. And only one remained standing.

It was Kyriu.

He was panting, full of bruises and cuts, and he looked like he might pass out and die there at any moment. Around him was a river of blood together with the bodies of enemy yazukas. It looked like a scene out of a horror movie.

Zen watched the fight from start to finish without blinking. In his mind, that boy wasn't just a boy, he was a true beast, no, a dragon!

On that day, the legend of the Dragon of Tokyo emerged.

Weeks after the incident, Kiryu, who had survived, was directly promoted to the leader's personal guard.

As the leader's personal guard, he had to learn how to fight corretly. Zen gave everything Kiryu needed, to nurture the dragon to be even stronger.

Kiryu learned various styles of mixed arts; he learned how to handle and use firearms, blunt weapons and knives. However, what he most enjoyed learning was how to use a katana.

At the age of thirty, Kiryu was a warrior said to be invincible. He always won the fights and conflicts in which he participated, slashing and tearing his opponents with his katana. Even firearms weren't very effective against him as he could always dodge and avoid bullets.

He had become the pinnacle of the human being.

However, just when he thought that nothing and no one else could stand in his way, he was betrayed.

Kiryu was always around Zen, his boss, even at mealtimes. While eating with the family leader, he felt something strange in the food, and only after his vision began to blur that he realize that he had been poisoned.

His body has gone completely numb and he fell on the ground. Confused, he sees the smile on his boss's wrinkled face and his eyes widen.

''I see... Looks like the boss wants to get rid of me for some reason, huh.' Kiryu thought.

He didn't know what poison he ingested, all he knew was that he couldn't speak, and he could only move his eyes.

'Ha...I knew that one day something like this would happen, but I didn't think that my own boss would betray me. Well, it doesn't matter anymore.' Kiryu thought upon seeing his boss approaching him with his katana unsheathed.

Kiryo wasn't afraid of death, nor of getting hurt. As much as he was paralyzed, he was calm, even though he was betrayed.

Betrayals happen all the time in the criminal world, and this is no different in Yazuka gangs and families. As much as Yazuka families have philosophies about respect, it's still very common for someone to get backstabbing, whether for money, power, revenge, or even fear.

Kiryu saw Zen raise his katana, ready to decapitate him, then his eyes calmly turned at the window next to him, and he saw a beautiful night sky with a bright moon.

His life flashed before his eyes. He saw himself as a kid and just an innocent errand boy who just wanted money for a hot meal. He saw himself the day he killed someone for the first time. And also saw hinself the day he lost his virginity.

It all went by in a flash, and he noticed something. In all his life, all he's ever done was hurt and kill.

He realized that they had turned him into a monster, but he was the one who let it happen.

Suddenly, a feeling of regret grew in his heart. He regretted having killed so many people. He regretted having made children orphaned. He regretted making women widows. He regretted all the violence he committed. But mostly, he regretted having had such a meaningless life.

'I don't know if there is heaven or hell, if there is, I will definitely go to hell. But if reincarnation exists, I hope that in my next life I will have a more honest life, a life that I won't regret...' These were Kiryu's last thoughts before Zen beheaded him.

\\

In a plain, a little girl was lying on the grass watching the sky.

The wind ran through her golden hair, and the sunlight reflected in her emerald green eyes. She wore a simple dress and leather shoes.

''It's been seven years, huh...'' The little girl muttered with a solemn and carefree expression as if she was remembering old memories.

The little girl was none other than Kiryu. Well, not exactly.

After dying, Kiryu, to his surprise, had not only been reincarnated, but had also been reincarnated with all of his memories intact.

It was as if some higher entity had heard his wish, but he would never have expected him to have his memories of his past life.

In this new life, he is not Kiryu, and he is not even a Man. He is now Her, and her name is Marina. It was a shock to be reborn as a girl, but after so many years, he had gotten used to it.

Unsurprisingly to her, she was also an orphan in this life. But unlike her past life, she lives in a pretty decent orphanage, which offers her shelter, food and education. She was grateful to have ended up in such a nice place.

What was most surprising to her, however, was that she reincarned in another world. This new world was similar, but at the same time outrageously different from her previous world.

The language of where she was was very similar to Japanese, so it was easy for her to learn the language as well as writing. At the age of four, she was already devouring the books that the orphanage had. Unfortunately, most were coloring books and children's textbooks. But lucky for her, there was one that was like an encyclopedia about the world.

After reading the encyclopedia, she understood that she was not in her original world, but in a diferent one. The encyclopedia mentioned also the Blue Sea, which probably is what they call this world.

The Blue Sea is made up of a large continent, a long chain of islands, and four seas that make up two larger oceans. The mainland is called the Red Line, the great island chain is called the Grand Line, and the four seas are called the North Blue, South Blue, East Blue, and West Blue. There is also a sea known as All Blue, where all the seas flow inward, but the location of the sea is not yet known.

Unfortunately there wasn't much more information besides more detailed information for each sea and continent.

She also discovered that the physiology of the people of this world is very strange.

One day, when she was six years old, she saw a nun carrying a giant crate that would need ten strong men to lift, with just one hand.

The nun had thin, slender arms like she'd never taken on weight in her life, and yet she did something that should have been impossible.

She was dumbfounded at the time, but she also found it very exciting. When she was Kiryu, she loved training and the feeling of getting stronger, but after years of training and tempering her body, she had reached the limit of the human body.

In this world, it seems that the limit of the body is much higher than in her previous world, and this made her spirit boil with emotion.

''Well, let's get back to training.'' She said to herself.

Getting up from the ground, she picks up a stick that was at her side, positioned herself and started swinging the stick as if it were a katana.

There was a glowing fire inside Marina's emerald eyes as she started training.

Now that she had a chance to start over, she would have an honest life this time, a life she won't regret.
