Chapter 668: 668. Happy Hats
Selina Kyle waited for Hats in front of the City hall. She was wearing a simple red top, black leather jacket and denim jeans. She had already dealt with the gold and was now interested in knowing more about Hats.
She waited for 5 minutes when suddenly someone's hand touched her shoulder. Her first instinct was to throw the person away over her shoulder but she restrained because she heard the familiar voice.
"Sorry to keep you waiting." the voice said.
Selina turned around and finally saw the person. It was too different from an ordinary human but utterly attractive at the same time. Purple hair, cat-like yellow eyes, tall height and a good smile. However, the best part she found was the cat ears. She found them to be really cute.
Hats felt weird as this was his first human transformation. He felt too conscious of his looks. Selina, on the other hand, Hats found to be looking as attractive as before. She still had that cat-like charm in her that he was attracted to.
"Ah, just to be clear. This is not my true form. My cat form was the true form. I even know a dragon who in human form looks like an ordinary old man but when he transforms into his dragon god form, he can be many times bigger than this planet." Hats explained.
"Well, I can't find any faults. You look amazing. Come, I will show you some places you can buy to live in. By the way, who is this Dragon God you talked about? Is he strong?" She asked while she wrapped her arm around his arm and walked with him.
"Haha, I think we are equal, but I might be better in magic use. But, by far the strongest is my Grandpa. He is a supreme being. Did you know, this world was taken over by a fallen angel? That was why there was an increase in crimes around the world. My grandpa dealt with it." Hats revealed.
"Hmm. Well, what about you? Tell me what do you do?" She asked.
"I am the God of Chaos, I rule the dark space between the worlds and also responsible for balance by keeping chaos and creation in check. It's a big job but now it's very easy." Hats said.
"And you rule the Omniverse you said?" She inquired.
"Of course. Anyway, tell me about yourself. How did you become so... cat-like?" Hats asked.
"Well, it's not all sunshine. I've accepted my past by now. There was a time when I was married. A young girl, who just looked very pretty. So, finding a rich suitor was not a problem. But, the young me who was hoping for a restful life was thrown into a viper's pit.
"He abused me, beat me, violated me for years. When we finally divorced, he used all connections possible to ruin my life so that I have no social standing, so that nobody gives me a job, so that I would return to him, sobbing, weeping, to be treated like an animal again.
"But I rejected it. I robbed his valuables and came to this city to start a new life. But, even here, life was not easy. I needed money and for that, I started stealing. I wanted to fall in love and live again but for that money was needed.
"But Batman caught me. Since then I have become significantly better though." She told mostly everything to Hats.
Hats held her hand, "I was once a powerless little Kitty too. I was ostracised because of my smile. Humans of that era tried to kill me because they saw me as a bad omen. Thankfully I was saved. But, I still have hatred for humans who harm others and abuse animals."
"Selina, tell me. Do you want revenge on that man? The one who scarred you for life?" Hats asked. His yellow eyes showed the confidence Selina had never seen before. Not even in Batman. Batman was a calculative person. He rarely went by feelings. But, Hats was different. He let his feelings influence his mind too.
"Of course I do. I dream of strangling him with my own arms. But, I don't want to be a criminal again. If I kill him, I'm sure people will be after me." She said.
"Don't worry, leave everything to me. All that matters is, are you ready for revenge?" Hats inquired.
"Yes," Selina finally answered with confidence.
Hats caught her and they flew away. They came to another city, half the country away. This time, he was able to hold Selina by her waist. Hats was happy.
Soon, they came across a huge mansion. They quietly infiltrated and found the man. To their shock, they saw another woman being tied to chains there. She was beaten and bruised, and nearly looked lifeless.
"That... is another me." Selina sorrowfully said. Her eyes shined with a glint of anger. She looked at the man sleeping on the bed.
Selina took out a dagger this time. Using nails would make people suspect her. Though she did not know what Hats was going to do to handle it.
"WAKE UP, PIG," Selina shouted.
The man jolted up, he looked around left and right to make sense. Then he saw Selina. A creepy smile grew on his face.
"OH, Selina... my prized possession. You finally came back to me. Don't worry, I will accept you with open arms. Come, sleep with m..." he couldn't complete his words.
Hats had cut his arms. "Try touching her and I will skin you alive a thousand times."
"AAAAAAAAAAA...."
Selina was shocked by Hats' speed. She didn't even see him move. To her, he was always standing there. She then again looked at the man, screaming now.
"You took away my youth from me. I hope you rot in hell." She cursed and finally sent her dagger through his abdomen. Then she took it out and let him bleed to death slowly.
Hats, meanwhile, teleported every innocent away from the mansion.
"Selina, are you done?" He asked.
"Yes, I can finally rest, knowing that he won't be coming after me anymore." She took a sigh of relief.
"Good," Hats teleported outside the mansion with her. They were at a good distance from the place.
"How are you going to deal with the evidence?" Selina inquired.
Hats just smirked, "Just watch."
He lifted his finger towards the sky. Then, 1 minute later, a red fireball was seen dropping from the sky. As it got closer, they realised it was a meteor.
*BOOOOOOOOOM*
With a loud noise, it fell on the mansion. Destroying everything, from the body, bone to metal into nothingness.
Selina's jaw was hung open. "T-this... did you?"
"Haha, isn't this the best way to destroy evidence?" Hat sarcastically said.
"I guess it is." She also chuckled.
Then, the two returned to Gotham City. Hats asked to buy a villa with a quiet area. So, he spent 15 million dollars buying it. It was an expanse not even registerable as an expense to Hats.
"So, my duty is over, Hats. Let's meet tomorrow." Selina said at the new villa's gates.
"Wait, I was planning to go to the investor's meet for Gotham City. My old man invited me there. It is an official event, would you like to be my partner for there?" Hats asked.
Selina smiled widely, "You aren't letting me go, are you now? Hmm, I don't have a dress to go there,"
"Let's go shopping. Buy whatever dress you want," Hats suggested.
"Ummm... no, I have perfect clothes at home. How about this, you lend me one of your new cars to go back and we will meet at the venue in an hour?" She asked.
"Deal." Hats agreed. Soon, she was gone and it was just Hats left alone.
*POOF*
He suddenly returned to his cat form and rolled on the floor. "YES YES YES YES YES... NICEEEEEEE... MEOWWWHAHAHA..."
He was just so happy that he didn't see his surroundings. While rolling, he saw two people standing on the side from the corner of his eye. Both were smiling smugly at him.
"Haha... Hats, you finally found a real date." Dobby spoke.
"Yes, my Hats is doing good." Olivia cheered for him.
"What are you doing here?" Hats asked back.
"Alex told me you will need official clothes so here it goes." Olivia showed him a nice western suit.
"BOZ BOZ... that lady was so pretty. Can I call her mom?" Chappy asked.
Hats blushed a little, "NO... at least not yet."
...
Meanwhile, Alexander was meeting the two richest folks of this city. Bruce Wayne and Lex Luthor. Though Bruce Wayne was yet to arrive.
