Chapter 5: Awakening
Today was like other day, alex was working and training. Yesterday, david said he would stay at otto island for a month. He needed preparation for harvested island locwl fruit. David asked alex to help picked up some fruits. The payments was more better than work at the port.
After breakfast and slightly warmed up for the day, alex went to work. His house was 100meters from the village. He stayed here because this place was always visited by old 'alex' and his mother. Alex didn't know why he felt sentiment from old 'alex'. He wouldn't think about it again. His emotions was annoyed him, sometimes.
He would go to oldman tota place to take permission to help david. At first, oldman tota became reluctant to give him permission. But with persuasion, he gave alex permission. He needed bring sake for oldman tota for the condition. Alex accepted it. He could request sake from david as gift for oldman tota, david and oldman tota was an acquaintances.
Then alex went to david office to take the job. Until afternoon, alex was moving 100kg box fruit while running and training his footworks. Villagers had been familiar with his habit. At first, they thought he was weird. After alex told them he was training, they only nodded and thought about alex was playing. Alex had more compact body and muscles, sixpack abs. He wanted have tenpack abs in the future.
In the afternoon, he was training martial arts. He was like netero from hunterxhunter, training to the basic. He added more weight this afternoon, 10kg bracelets each and 20kg vest on his body. He had breakthrough in subtles body and footwork movements. He's still hope rokushiki and haki training method.
Then about sparing partner, he didn't get that yet. He beat boar that was near his house and remembered memories when he was beaten by his teacher in earth. He didn't know if he could kill human or not. His physical body was stronger for 12 years kid. In this cruel age of piracy, he needed become stronger or kill to survive. He knew his limit and weaknesses, but he had doubt about his mentality.
After training, he went to prepare dinner. He got some sake for old man tota. In the evening, he went to old man tota house to delivery food. But something was amiss. There were fire on villager's house, he became cautious. He checked it first. When he was near villager's house, he heard someone saying.
"Haha.. this villager is stupid, they didn't know that we got information from marines officer. This village port has so much merchant ship and treasure inside." Said mouse pirates captain who looked like mouse with 160 cm height.
Alex peeked from the alley near villager's house. Because this alley was dark, the pirates and the captain didn't see him. 'Damn, why are there pirates? I must search oldman, but their number is too much, what could i do?' Alex thought.
"Haha.. yes captain, we will be rich when we get the treasure from that merchants ship." Pirates crew 1.
"Haha.. that villagers was so hopeless, we could easy kill them. Go search at villager's houses. Maybe we would find another treasure and money." Captain mouse said.
'Shit, i must go to david's house and take that devil fruit first or we don't have hopes to survive!' He clenched his fist with anger and went to david house while running faster. Some villagers already killed, and some already captured. The pirates was near the port. The villagers house was in fire. David house was located at the center of villages. When alex was going to david's house, he checked oldman tota's house, but there wasn't anyone here.
After arrived at david house, he saw more cruel thing. Some david's maid was killed with no clothes on their body. Then he went to storehouse, when he arrived, he saw david laying on the ground barely breath. He went to david.
"Uncle, stay alive, i will help you!" Said alex while holding his body, his eyes was moist and he was crying.
"No kid. You must run, take this key. I hide that devil fruit, take it, i must keep my deal with you." Said david while breathing hardly.
"No uncle, i'll sa-" alex.
Before alex said more, david interrupted, "Promise me alex, you will visit my wife and daughters at east blue. I couldn't comeback for a long time. Please tell them, i love them." Said with his last breath, david died, with dull eyes, blood from bullets in his body.
"Yes uncle, i promise you!" Said alex while crying. He ran to the storehouse. He was searching the keyhole for key. All the goods from storehouse was taken.
After a while, alex found the the keyhole under the table, he opened it. When he saw the devil fruit, a glint for revenge could be seen in his eyes. The devil fruit was box shaped like japanese melon with green color and swirl patern on it. Without further thought, alex ate the devil fruit. The tastes was like onion, coffee, mushroom, garlic, rotten wood, pepper at the same time. It's digusting. He wanted to puke at first, but remember what happened to this village, he kept eating it.
There was no sensation whatsoever, alex frowned. He didn't care. He ran to the port. He tried to find oldman tota and villagers. Arrived at the port, he found out the pirates was laughing. He saw villagers were scared. He saw oldman tota laying on the ground while coughing some blood.
Alex was rarely angered. In earth or in this one piece world, everybody rarely saw him anger. But now was different, he was contolled by rage and anger after witnessed some cruelity to everyone he called family. He ran to pirate crew and punched him.
"Hey brat what are you trying to do? Do you know who i am, I'm mouse pirate! Catch that brat!" He saw alex and ordered his men to catch alex.
"Don't! Alex, RUN!" Oldman tota blocked the pirates crew. But when oldman tota want to help alex, the pirate crew kicked him in the head and shooted him. "Duaarrrrr!". Old man tota was died.
"Shut up!" Pirate crew 1 said and all member of the pirates laughed so loud. "Hahaha".
Alex wanted to help, but he didn't make it. Alex was stood at same place with blank looks. He was seeing his family died in front of his eyes and pirates started laugh while mocking him. Alex snapped.
"NOOOOOOOOO!!!" Tears came out from his eyes. His eyes became more red. After that, something incredible was happening to alex while shouting.
