Chapter 12: Jealous for you .
Tara was going through the photos from the last day's celebrations. A photo caught her sight , It was clicked at the last moment before the party ends .Karthik was standing at her right side and Ronn at Left and Kiran besides Karthik. Karthik caught her attention.
'Why didn't I notice him last day ?'She thought.
He was wearing a white shirt with Royal blue blazer jacket and jeans which perfectly suited with the top wear. He wore Michael Kors Analog Blue watch which suited perfectly with his clothing. "Oh handsome " she mumbled. Then she noticed Ronn . "why do he look serious in all his photos? Didn't he like the party?" Tara asked herself . Then suddenly a thought striked her mind . ' How did he come to the right place ? Even I didn't know where the party was . How did Ronn know ? He doesn't have contact with my parents or anyone from Karthik's side . Then how ? Is it all over the news or anything ? Hey nonsense, then I would know that first . But still how ? ' Tara sat there confused . Suddenly her phone beeped. It was Ronn .
"Hey , are you free ? can I call ? " That was the text from him .
"Sure " She texted back .
Soon he called her .
"Reached back Angel " He said .
"Tired?"
"Little "
"Hmm . How was the party ?"
"Good . Karthik knows your taste well."
" Haha . well , I was about to ask you something .How do you know where the party was ? Even I didn't knew that . "
" Well Angel ; if we have connections , we will know everything ."
" Just tell me Ronn . How do you know ? "
"I know someone there "
"Who ? Karthik ? Kiran ? His parents ? I know that you don't know my parents anyway "
"Well , none of the above "
" Then ? "
"You forgot to mention someone ."
"Who ?"
"Karthik 's Driver ."
"Huh !? "
"Yeah Tara , he is my uncle . My father's elder brother .Even though no one from my parent's family talk to us , he talks . Actually he knows it was my father's mistake that my parents got divorced.So he helped us , until I started to run for my family . My parents got divorced when I was just 2 year old and my mother was unemployed that time . my father didn't send us compensation or anything.But my uncle helped us . He asked my mother to study and pass bank test . He was the one who always brings me toys , cake for my B'days and all . For past 5 years he have been working for Karthik's family . I know little about Karthik from him . Karthik was the topper in every school he have been and he is everything a girl dreams . I won't be astonished if you say you love him. "
" Oh ! I didn't knew he was your uncle . "
" He came to my home the day before your Bday . I came along with him . My mom stayed at her Friend's home then . "
"Hmm .. I did not know much about your family ."
"I never tell anyone . I feels like an abandoned child sometimes . All I have is my mother ."
"You should thank god because you have her .Think the positive side always ."
"Hmm . you are right " .
Then they talked for long time . Then her mom called out to her saying Kiran is at home. She told a bye to Ronn and hanged up the call . She went downstairs and saw Kiran was watching TV and unexpectedly , Karthik was also there . He had a small gift box in his hand . Tara went down and sat beside Kiran . Karthik placed the gift box on the small table beside Tara and said , " It's for you . " Then Kiran handed her a Yellow rose and said , "It's also for you. " Tara smiled to both of them and said "Thank you ." She went upstairs to keep the gift in her wardrobe . After a few moments of waiting, Karthik went upstairs and walked towards the balcony . Balcony was near Tara's room and it was the favourite spot of Tara in the entire home . Tara saw him going there , standing from her room . She walked towards the balcony too , keeping the gift and Rose on her table . She saw Karthik sitting on the wooden swing chair thinking something . She stood politely holding the balcony stand .
"Enjoyed the party last day ? " Karthik asked .
"Yes . Thankyou for the surprise . It was my first experience ." Tara replied .
" It was my pleasure . " Karthik replied with a smile and he looked Tara . Tara smiled .
" So .. Who was that guy you introduced us to last night .. what was his name ... Ronn. . or something .. ? " Karthik knew what his name was but he didn't want to show Tara that he remembered.
"Yeah .Ronn . He is my bestie . "
" How long it is since you know him ? I mean is he trust worthy ? "
" Huh !? I .. I know him since past 2 months . Of cource he is trust worthy . He never makes me sad . "
" It's not said that people who never makes you sad are trustworthy . Just keep a distance with everyone until you gets to know them better. It's only 2 months . You should know a person better . "
"Hmm . "
"I mean .. you both were too close last day . A boy can take advantage of you easily if you let him ."
Tara gave Karthik a puzzled look . But she nodded .
" You know anything about his parents ? "
" Yeah . He is so Frank . He tells me everything.I am his best friend too . His parents are divorced when he was so young. He is with his mother . "
"Hmm . I was just saying. Not everyone are good . They will make you think that they are Frank and trustworthy but actually they may not be . I am not saying You should doubt Ronn or anything .. I was just making you conscious . " Karthik said seriously . But deep inside he was burning - Burning with jealously for the first time , for a girl .
Tara nodded . Karthik stood up to leave .
"You can count on me if anything happens or you need to share anything. I'll be there for you . I mean , I should be responsible in your case . Our parents are good friends and I am elder to you . " Karthik made sure he didn't stammered . Tara nodded .
"Take care dear . I worry for you . You are indeed innocent and special ." Karthik said . Tara blushed inside . She nodded .
Karthik walked towards the stairs . He turned and looked Tara again and smiled and went downstairs . Tara blushed . If someone took her photo then , they could forever see how reddish her cheeks would be . Tara thought about what Karthik said . It's only since 2 months Tara get to know Ronn . But she couldn't still doubt him . Her phone beeped . It was Ronn . "Are you alright ?" The text said . But Tara didn't open it then. She went down stairs to wave a bye to Karthik and Kiran .
