Chapter 27: Time Periods .
"Hey are you there Tara? What's wrong dear?" Karthik was standing outside her room , but Tara didn't open the door even after the third knock on the door . Karthik was getting worried . "What happened Son ?" Tara's mom who came looking for her asked Karthik .
"I think she's Ill aunty . She's not even responding from inside ." Karthik said being tensed ."Huh! She's not responding ? She was perfectly alright a few hours ago . What's wrong with her all of a sudden ? Let me check beta* " her mom said opening her room which wasn't locked from inside .Karthik stood outside nervously .He got upset thinking on her health . Her mom came outside a few minutes later . " It's just a headache dear .She'll be alright .There's nothing to worry ." Her mother said comforting him .Karthik looked in and saw Tara laying on her bed . "I think I'll get going .Please ask her to take rest aunty ." Karthik said and took a last look at her before going and climbed down the stairs .

"These are some fruits and chocolates for her aunty . Please give it to her. I was getting worried for her health ." Karthik said . He held a small basket full of fruits , chocolates and juice bottle . Her mom was washing dishes in the kitchen and he stood near the door , worried . "You can directly give it to her dear .I think she'll be more happy then ." Her mother said smiling at Karthik . Karthik nodded .He went upstairs and knocked Tara's door .
"Come in mom " Tara said in a low ill voice .
" Tara , it's me Karthik .Just came to give you some fruits and chocolates . Hope you get well soon ." Karthik said standing outside her room ." Huh!? Karthik ? Ya .Karthik , come in " Tara said trying to cover herself with blanket .
He entered and saw Tara still laying on her bed .She had curled herself on the bed . She held hands close to her stomach .Her eyes were closed and her hair fell like a black fountain on her pink bedsheet . She was ill , but she was still pretty .Sunlight was partially embracing her beauty and it made her face shine . Karthik glued his eyes on her for a moment then kept the basket on the table .
"Are you feeling any better Tara?" He asked in a low voice , worried .Tara was silent . He sighed deeply . "It's just a headache dear .She'll be alright. Have this dear ." Tara's mom came in with a glass of badam juice for Karthik ." "I'm on my Periods Mom !" Tara shouted a short scream with pain .
"Shh ..Tara ." Her mom said embarassed and looking at Karthik .He didn't had any change on his face ." She behaves manner less sometimes ." Her mom said trying to make Karthik feel comfortable .But he sipped last of his juice and smiled at her and said " It's common during these days and it's okay aunty .She'll be fine ." "You are so kind and caring dear . Give me that , and ha , I completely forgot to ask you about your brother .How's he ?" Tara's mom asked .
"He's alright aunty. Better than last few days .He got discharged today morning ." Karthik said smiling , still holding the glass .
"I'll wash it aunty ." He said . "No no no .Don't worry about that .I'll wash it .You stay with Tara .I hope she'll get well soon when she gets a company ." Her mom said taking the glass from him .Karthik washed his face and came back by then her mother went back to kitchen .He looked at Tara again. She was shivering with pain and her eyes were teary .
He sat near her on bed and slowly caressed her forehead. Tara closed her eyes feeling his soft touch . She soon fell half asleep . Karthik tenderly looked her face which was pinkish and she was enjoying his caressing . A tear drop fell to the bedsheet and Karthik gently rubbed it off from her face .Karthik leaned towards her face and whispered to her
"Are you feeling any better Tara ?"
She smiled in half sleep and nodded .
"Can I grab you an apple juice ?" Karthik asked looking her face deeply .She smiled and asked " Apple juice is my favourite .How do you know all my favourites Karthik?"
"It's 'Coz I love you Tara " Karthik said going with the flow .Suddenly he gained consciousness .But he noticed Tara was half asleep so she didn't got shocked at all .
"I love you too Karthik "She said in a low voice , half asleep and little felicity . Those words hit his heart like an arrow . Tara would never confess her love if she was not ill. He thought .He felt like on cloud nine .He felt his heart dancing over brain . His eyes glittered. He skimmed his fingers through her hair gently and asked "Really ?" She smiled a bright huge smile and he knew what it meant . He blushed and he shrieked lightly .He smiled and looked her face again. She was still half asleep .Her light pink lips reflected the bright smile and it awoke a smile in him too . He leaned towards her face .A radiant smile litted his whole face. He looked her with utmost love in his heart and it made his eyes glitter even better .His pupils dialated and his heart beat increased .He took deep small breaths . Tara could feel his warm breath over her face and she seemed enjoying the tickle . He gently took her palm in his and softly kissed her forehead . Her heart melted .His gentle kiss lasted a few minutes and he gently rubbed his face through hers and reached her cheeks .His breath tickled her and she smiled but she never protested . He whispered softly
"I really love you Tara , don't know why or when .But I really liked you from the beginning ." Then he pressed his lips on her cheeks and she gasped .Her breath shivered and he pressed her fingers on his chest. He kissed her forehead many times .Tara was fast asleep by then . An hour or so passed .
Tara slowly opened her eyes after few blinks and Karthik suddenly leaned back. He gained his consciousness and smiled to himself .
"What were you doing stupid" He mumbled in his head and continued to caress her forehead. She gazed at him for few moments confused then woke up from her bed .
"I .. I was not in right consciousness .Did I say something bad ?" Tara asked shyly .Karthik was trying to act normal and calm . His heart beat have skipped it's beat many times a few moments before but he didn't want her know that at all . "I.. It's okay . You ..You were alright .You Okay now ?" He hid his face by looking away . He didn't want her see his blushed face . He got really shy for the first time in his whole life time . "I feel better Karthik .Thanks for coming .I myself feel bad , for making you do all these ." Tara said in a low voice ."Do what ?" Karthik suddenly looked at her shocked wondering if she remembered anything ."I mean , you took care of me very well .Thank you ." She said ."Oh ..That ..Ya .. No .. I mean ..It's my pleasure ." Karthik said releived . "What time is it Karthi ? " Tara asked looking around ."It's almost 12.00 at noon ." Karthik said looking at his phone which he kept near her bed lamp . "Are you hungry ?" He asked ."Hmm .. to be frank yes .But I don't feel like having rice at all .I wish to eat few chocolates and sleep . "Don't ruin your health only eating chocolates and skipping your meals ." Karthik said brushing her hair off her face . She felt something deep in her heart and that something made her so happy .She smiled ." How long have you been here ?" She asked him , tying her hair . "Not much " He said without making an eye contact. She nodded . He stared at her for a bit and went to take chocolates from the basket .He handed over a bunch of chocolates and saw her face blooming like a flower . He felt happy watching her happy . "How's cramps ?" He asked ."Better ....but ..wait ..how do you know I'm on my periods ?" Tara asked with embarassment and looking around her bed .
"You told it yourself ." Karthik said as if there's nothing wrong ." I did ? Oh my God .I don't even remember ." She said scratching her head. He laughed . "There's nothing to be ashamed in telling that . Even if you don't say , I still know all girls get periods ." Karthik said patting her shoulders .That made her feel lot better . "You want hot water bag ?" He asked before going out . "Hmm .. You'll really bring one ?" She asked little shy . "Yeah .Sure ." He said with a smile and went out .
He came back with water bag after a few minutes .
"I really feel so embarrassed to make you do all these ." Tara said lowering her wide eyes .
"Why are you keeping it so upside ? I've heard that cramps are near uterus . " He said looking at where Tara kept her water bag .
"Huh!? You had any girl friend ? How do you know so much ?"
"Well .I have a mother at home ." He said smiling . She looked at him wondered .
"Give it . I can help you ." he said making Tara sleep comfortably . He gently placed the water bag near her lower stomach and caressed her forehead . She respectfully stared at him .It's only then she knew that even boys can know so much about Periods . "Just take rest Tara. You'll be fine soon. " Karthik said gently brushing her hair . She nodded and smiled at him .He smiled back .
She closed her eyes and enjoyed the moment so close with him .

"Wassup ?😁"
"Nothing much . Just going to bed ."
"So early ? It's just 10.00 PM "
"Ya . But I have my periods .😐"
"Oh . Okay .Okay then . Take rest . Bye ."
"Good night Ronn ."
"Good night Tara ."
