Chapter 31: Rey Doubts
"And they live happily ever after..." Belle drops the book she is reading gently on her lap.
The cackles of fire from the fireplace keep dancing in the silent air.
Belle stands up from her sofa and gently and carefully moves towards her husband that has already sleeping peacefully. She gets a warm blanket to cover him and planted a kiss on his forehead before she heads back to her room.
These past days the Monster-Human alliance has finally been formed successfully. And her husband was the head of the said alliance. He is so busy these past few days and now's the only time they finally got to have bonded with each other again.
"Your highness." Lumiere, their head butler appeared before her and offer her tea.
"Thank you Lumiere, just bring it to my room, I will drink it there," Belle said, smiling.
Belle went back to their room to rest too. Lumiere put the tray of tea and bowed down before he left the room.
Belle, sit down on the huge comfy bed. She opens her book once again and reread the story again. While caressing her stomach that has a huge bump now on it.
"My dear child, let me tell you a story again before I sleep," Belle said with full of love. Just one more month and they will finally have a baby. She couldn't help but smile thinking of her future child.
"Ah. How I wish, you will be born now. Your mother is so very eager to see you now." Belle said gently then open the book and begin rereading it again.

[The Quest of the Tower has forcefully ended by the system.
The system decided to base the rewards on the highest distributors of the tower quest.
Rewards will now be distributed.]
The people were shocked to see the sudden message of the system.
"The Quest has ended?"
They can't help but whisper at their peers. After all, they are still just busy fighting the monsters inside the tower.
Then everything starts to shake terribly.
[Warning! Get out of the tower]
Multiple screens pop out in front of them. Out of fear of whatever might happening the people rush towards the exit of the tower.
As they made it out, the tower began to shrink down the ground. If they stay there, they will surely get buried along with the tower.
All of the people have confusion plastered with their faces. But there is a certain group that has dejected faces.
Argaux on his own left to who knows where after they got out just outside the first tower in the National park.
It is already morning as Paul looks at his watch. But there are still the familiar red skies again.
"We're back," Dina said what is on everyone's mind.
"Yes, this is definitely Manila," Paul said as he looks high above the sky with a solemn look. He felt tired. All of them.
Rey clutched the golden lock of hair in his hand as he put it back to Evelyn's bracelet.
"You better be still alive," Rey said as his black eyes become hazy. He stared at the red skies of the city.
'It is only the first main quest but so many things have already happened. And the irony is, it is only been three days.' Rey said with a stifled laugh.
"Young man, what's with the long face? Is there someone that dies?"
Everyone turns to look at the voice who speaks.
"Sister!" Louisa cried out as she rushed towards Evelyn that came out from the void.
"Oh, dear child," Evelyn said as she pats the head of the crying Louisa.
"I'm glad you're ok."Louisa cried.
"Rio! Rea!" Jess passed through them as she heads towards a certain someone carrying kids in both of her arms.
"Hi. Ate Jess." Via awkwardly said as she passed the kids to Jess.
"What happened to them?" Jess asked worriedly.
"Long story short, they got kidnapped, got rescued, and now are sleeping and fine," Via said, Jess will still ask more but someone tackle Via.
She almost fell on the ground if not only she has able to balance herself well.
"Via!" A certain someone also runs past them and gave Via a tight hug. Ah, let me correct not one but two. Dina also joins the ride and they lock Via in a very tight embrace.
"Wahhh! Via! I'm so sorry!" Frea cried. Tears and snot were all over her face.
"Wahhh! Thank God our bank is still alive!" Dina said at the same time.
'Our bank?' Via wanted to raise a brow with that remark.
"Arghh! get out of me you crazy people!"
Via pushed them so that she could escape from their hugs.
But her eyes widen when she saw the other person coming in her way. It's Rey. And from the looks of it, his face is full of questions.
But that's not the problem right now.
Out of panic. Via Brought out a <fairy white stone> and she took hold of it, she became invisible in an instant.
"Huh? Where did Via go?" Frea and Dina began to panic.
'My goodness. I will just get out of here. I am not ready to have a talk with the male lead.'
'Well, imagine this. If you have watched a series that lasts for two years and you met the main lead actor for that with a chance. Who wouldn't felt comfortable with that? Though Rey is not an actor but still, he is already like a celebrity to me. I know everyone might roll their eyes with these thoughts but come on. I've read the whole 978 chapters of an entire person's life!' Via thought and is panicking right now.
'What would I tell him?' Hey! I know all of you by a novel called 'Journey of End' Yep. Definitely not going to say that out loud. Knowing Rey, he might believe me. After all, he is the oh-so-kind and self-sacrificing male lead. And he might use me for all the information I have. But that's not what I'm worried about...
"Why are you using the fairy white stone?" Via felt shivers when someone whispered to her ears.
'Ah right. When someone also uses fairy white stone they would be able to see the others who will use it.' Damn. I should have just run fast.
"Oh! Hi! Mister. " Via dropped the stone she is holding out of panic.
"Via! There you are! Why did you suddenly disappear?" Frea asked worriedly.
"Oh! Sir Rey is here now. But he is just there a while ago?" Frea look behind then back at Rey who appeared beside Via too.
"Hehehe. I'm just testing this stone if I will become invisible. And it works." Via picked up the stone she drops to show it to Frea.
"Ooohhh. It makes one invisible. Let me try too." Frea try to grab the stone but Via shoves it into her pouch.
"No," Via said as she rolled her eyes.
"Meanie Via." Frea pouted but Via just ignore her and called to Dina.
"Hey, Dina! I will give you some cool items if you drag this girl off..."
*Swoosh!* Before Via could finish her words Frea has been pulled 2 meters away from her by Dina.
"I remember your words! Enjoy your moment with Mr. Rey!" Dina shouted while restraining Frea on the carpet.
*Ehem.* "Can we talk now?" Rey cough beside her.
"Ah. Yes. What do we need to talk about?" Via said as she looks at Rey's deep black eyes. It really feels like you are looking at a deep void. None of his emotions could be read. Plus, his always smiling face.
Via really wanted to praise herself for being composed in front of such a man, the main male lead of this world.
Well, she could even fight head-on with another crazy man to who knows where he is right now. Well if Argaux gave the cold, dangerous dark guy type. Rey gave the charming, smiling but calculative guy deep down type.
"Have you heard of a novel called Dead Fairytale?"
[Rey activated the Eye of Truth]
"No," Via responds quickly. She almost flinched with that question. But thankfully she didn't. Then she followed up. "Why? Is it some sort of famous novel?" Via tilted her head and try to make her face look as much as confuse as it is.
[Insight has alternated the truth based on your answer]
Woah, Insight has a function like that? Cool. Now I could hide everything with this hahaha. Via felt confidence rising in her chest.
Rey squirmed his eyes as he tried to observe every bit of Via's reaction. [[The <Eye of Truth> didn't show that she is lying. And she looks genuinely like someone really ignorant of the novel. But why do I feel like she is hiding something? Is it an act? Or she doesn't really know? Or am I just overthinking?]]
Heh. Via heard his thoughts loud and clear. 'You will never find out the truth man.'
"Then, remember the guy with a scar that we fought before, he said that you die? How are you still alive?"
'What is this? Am I in some sort of police interrogation?'
"I'm alive as you see. And as for how? I don't really know. A dark void appeared and absorbed me before I got crushed into pieces." 'My goodness. I am now becoming so good at lying.'
"Then how do you know the wife of that guy?" Rey continues to ask.
"I met her in the Eternal Day event and I got to see a portrait of the guy." Well, since Rey never got to go to Eternal Day. There's no way he would know whether I'm speaking the truth or not.
"I see," Rey said as he contemplates the answer of Via.
[Did I just worry out of nothing?] Via just heard his thoughts again.
Via was going to sigh out of relief but immediately stop it after he heard the next thoughts of Rey.
[I will just keep an eye on her for now]
'Yep. As expected I would not be able to leave out of this guy's grasp anytime soon.'
"Guys! Let's go now! And find a place to rest."
Via and Rey look upward. The rest of Rey's group are now on broomsticks while Frea's group is on the carpet.
"Yes. Let us call this a day. If you don't mind, if you don't have a place to stay, you and your group could stay with us." Rey said with a smile to Via.
"Sounds great." When Via heard the word rest, she could finally felt how her body and mind are tired. She just agreed to Rey's words and let things get over soon. And Frea and the others didn't mind too.
They all now settled to their rides and embark once again in a terrible air flight that Via almost forgot her sanity again.
"Ahhhhhhh!" A loud shrilling sounds echoed across the devastated city of Manila.

Aeipathy_02 I apologize if I only update this time. We were bombarded this week with homeworks since it is the end of the first half of the second semester. I will try to update 1-2 more this week.
Now we are finally starting the second art, Monster Will.
