"You get one too, Koko." Happy quickly noticed the sad face of the goose and gave him one piece as well. He had no idea what Koko really was and how he could hold such complex thoughts, but he loved the goose dearly.

"Mr. Scamander, how do I train with her? I mean, I need to experience her apparition ability at least once, as Professor Dumbledore suggested. I think… I have an affinity with apparition." Happy revealed, without admitting he felt something strange about his wand.

"Have you ever experienced an apparition before?" Newt inquired.

Happy nodded. Of course, he had experienced it so many times. "I ask my house elves to take me places, so it's common for me."

Newt hummed and thought about it. "I-I'm not a teacher for Apparition, but you must be aware of the rule of three D's—destination, Determination, and Deliberation. You have to be aware of the location where you want to go and focus on it heavily. The farther it is, the more you must focus. But, do you think Zouwus would have the mental capacity to bother about the three rules?"

Happy thought about it, and it made sense. No matter what, in the end, a Zouwu was still a beast. It was impossible for the creature to have a complex thought process before apparating. To them, it possibly came as second nature to their body.

"Then, what about Phoenix? They can apparate using fire?" Happy asked.

"That one is a mystery to me, Happy. They are legendary creatures with the ability to show complex emotions and thought processes. Almost all legendary creatures are like that, from Dragons to Unicorns…I don't classify them as just magical beasts, personally." Newt explained. "Their magical powers are beyond common sense. I suggest you find time someday and visit Egypt, India, and China—a lot of legendary and strong magical creatures are native to that region."

"I think I will, now I have an excuse to justify my food tour to those countries." Happy mumbled under his breath and looked into the Zouwu's eyes with care, trying to see if he could form an understanding.

"Wait!" An idea struck him just then. "Koko, you understand me, right?"

"Huehuehuehue…" Koko laughed like a hyena.

"..."

"Good, then can you talk with this big girl too?" he asked.

Koko stared at the Zouwu. "Meow?"

"Grrr..rawr."

"Mwa mew mow mow?"

"..."

Happy watched the two creatures make different noises, and it became apparent that they could understand each other. However, Happy really wanted to know what Koko was telling the creature.

"Koko, can you ask her to show me her magic?" Happy requested, though he wondered if Koko would understand that.

Koko nodded and talked with the Zouwu.

Happy eagerly watched for a while, though for some reason, Zouwu and Koko both came close to him and started licking him.

"Wait, I didn't ask for this… I said use magic, not lick! What did you tell her, Koko?" Happy jumped back, "Mr. Scamander, can you help?"

The old man came close to the Zouwu and gave her a hug before talking with her while using hand gestures. It was likely some sort of understanding they had developed after knowing each other for years.

"Hold her mane tight. She'll show you her apparition." Newt cautioned them.

Happy quickly prepared himself and closed his eyes to get into the zone, to feel everything from beginning to end. He had felt apparitions by elves before, as well as Portkeys, so he wondered how this would differ.

"Roar!" The Zouwu growled like a tiger and suddenly began running at a remarkable speed, too fast, in fact. Happy and Newt soon found their bodies raised horizontally while tightly holding onto the Zouwu mane.

Woosh!

Happy couldn't resist opening his eyes, but soon he realized it was the right thing to do. His mind was filled with astonishment as he witnessed the entire process of the apparition. They seemed to have entered a strange tunnel with dark, swirling curtains encircling them. While the Zouwu leaped forward, Happy looked back and saw where they came from. When he looked ahead, it was the destination they were heading towards.

'This doesn't feel or seem like an apparition—it's more like teleportation!'

Woosh!

Everything happened very fast, and the apparition was complete. The Zouwu had brought them a few hundred meters away from their initial spot.

"That was…different. I didn't feel my body twist like in a normal apparition." Happy exclaimed. "This is an entirely different kind of magic."

"I feel the same." Newt agreed. "When I first experienced it, I was amazed as well."

Happy could see that even a wizard could tell that Zouwus teleported instead of apparating. However, since wizards were among the most dense creatures with no knowledge of the muggle world, they probably didn't know about the phenomenon called teleportation.

'Creating a tunnel through space? I don't think it requires a massive amount of magical energy in one's body. I even ate the damn stone and have a massive luck buff—I should be able to master this thing.'

Woosh!

Boop! Boop!

"Wraaaaa!"

Out of nowhere, Koko came from the sky and landed on Happy's head before angrily pecking at him. The goose was angry for being left behind.

"Ah, sorry…I was going to get you, Koko…!"

Boop! Boop!

But Koko craved violence with his mighty little beak, and Happy's head became the target.

Eventually, Newt decided it was enough for one day and allowed the Zouwu to return to her lair. He brought Happy back to the main floor of the house as Tina was about to return home, and the house elves were cooking dinner for them.

"Where is the rest of your family?" Happy asked Newt. Because, as far as he knew, Newt should have a grandchild by now.

"Busy with their lives. My grandson is in school right now, as the summer holidays start late here. Only me and Tina live here, even that is rare since I spend most of the year traveling." Newt said, gazing at a family picture hanging on the wall. "My grandson is just a year older than you. I'm sure he'd have loved to meet you. Just like me, he loves magical beasts."

"In that case, I must make friends with him. But, let's postpone it until the dangers subside—"

While they conversed, Porpentina Esther "Tina" Scamander arrived. A beautiful, slender woman with brown eyes and hair, thought old now. She removed her hat and approached Happy with a warm smile.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Lestrange."

Happy stood up to shake hands. "Just call me Happy, as Mr. Scamander does. I really like the house and the beasts you have here."

Tina went ahead to kiss her husband before sitting by the dining table with them. "No need for formality, Happy. This house is, at best, bland, but the beasts, they are the real stars of this house—I can see you, Nifflers. Put my jewelry back in the box, or I'll transfigure you!"

"..."

The trio of nifflers, who were silently and secretly smuggling jewelry from Tina's purse a distance away, stopped in shock at being caught. It was likely not the first time, as the three quickly placed the gold back and hurried away for dear life.

"There's always something happening in the house." She continued. "But the city seems too bland now after living here for so long. So we're moving to Britain soon."

"Master Scamander, dinner be ready." The house elf voiced then.

With that, Happy finally found something to satisfy his stomach. With a snap of a finger from the elf, the table was filled with succulent whole-fried chicken, delectable meatball specialties, sandwiches, pasta, burgers, salads, shrimp, red velvet cake, pizza, and big fat juicy steak.

Happy clapped his hands before picking up the spoons. "God bless America!"

And with that, he dived into dinner with the spirit of a Neanderthal taking over him yet again. He reveled in the diverse array of dishes, something that was missing in Hogwarts. It was understandable since the United States was a melting pot of cultures from around the world, and the country had also accepted the cuisines from around the world wholeheartedly, making them staples on their dining tables.

"This is so good!" He savored the steak melting in his mouth. "I made the right decision coming here."

Newt and Tina just ate slowly and smiled while watching Happy eating. It wasn't really the most beautiful sight, but to them, seeing a kid being that excited about food was very nostalgic as they remembered their own grandchild.

"Happy, Newt told me you have some business with MACUSA?" Tina asked after seeing Happy slowing down and arriving at the dessert, emptying all the plates before him.

Happy bobbed his head. "I do…I need to meet someone in the minis…I mean MACUSA."

"Who?"

"The President."

"..."
