Chapter 50: Lovegood Household
Its been a week since He started living with the Lovegoods and has become familiar with the household.
The tower has eight levels in total, the basement, the ground level, and six floors.
The basement is used mainly for storage.
The ground floor is the entrance hall and the kitchen.
The first floor has a big living room with some couches, a few bookcases, and a fireplace.
The second floor is where the printing machines for the newspaper are located.
The third floor has three bedrooms, one belongs to Lunas and two guest bedrooms.
The fourth floor is where the master bedroom is located and there is also a big studio that Xeno uses to write his articles.
The fifth floor is where the main library is located, the entrance is forbidden for anyone that is not part of the family and contains strong protections to prevent access to intruders. Xeno has joked that if Harry wants to access that library he had to marry his daughter.
The sixth floor used to be the laboratory used by Pandora Lovegood, Luna's mother. But no one has set foot there since her death.

The three of them were having breakfast when an owl arrived with a letter for Harry.
It was from Gringotts. Harry opened the letter and quickly scanned the contents.
He then looked at Xeno.
"I need to make a trip to Diagon Alley. Do you mind if I call my house elf here?"
"Go ahead, do what you need to do." Xeno ansered nonchalanly.
That was one thing Harry liked about the man. He didn't treat Harry like a child and did not get in his way when He needed to do something.
"You have a house elf? Is he nice?" Luna asked
"I'll introduce you. Lorry come here" Harry called.
A moment later a pop was heard and the elf appeared.
"Master. Is good to see you." The elf gave a polite bow.
"Lorry, I am going to be spending the summer here. These are Luna Lovegood and her father Xenophilius Lovegood." Harry introduces them.
Xeno nodded to the elf and Luna shook his hand enthusiastically, much to the elf's surprise.
Lorry then turned to Harry.
"Master…emm" The elf rubbed his hands and hesitated for a moment.
"Go ahead and say what you have to say," Harry said slightly irritated by the elf's behavior. It was rare to see him like that.
"Yes." Lorry composed himself and straitened up. "I have a request Master."
Harry raised an eyebrow. And the elf paled a bit before continuing.
"I would like to be allowed to cook and clean in this household for as long as Master lives here."
"Let me guess. You are getting restless, being alone in the manor."
The elf nodded and lowered his head.
Harry sighed, then turned to Xeno.
"Would it be ok for him to work here for the summer?."
Xeno looked at Harry and then at the elf.
"Well, we haven't had a house elf for a long time. But you should ask my daughter, she is the one that does the cooking."
Luna stood up excited.
"Oh, I would love to have him here! He can help me prepare the meals and collect ingredients and help me make pudding and-"
Luna keep going for a while and Lorry was starting to question his decision.
After she calmed down harry looked at Xeno.
"Excuse if I am overstepping but, the other day I took a look at the household wards. They are very ancient and I am sure that in the past were immensely powerful in the past, but right now they are extremely weakened. They barely offer any protection."
Xeno was silent for a moment before speaking. "You are right Harry. I have been meaning to restore the wards, but…you know."
"Too expensive," Harry said and Xeno nodded, He seem slightly ashamed.
"Well, that's good. I was wondering how to repay you for letting me stay here. With your permission, I will restore and upgrade the wards."
Xeno was shocked. "Harry, I cannot let you do that! I know how expensive something like that is."
"Don't worry about that, I have plenty of galleons. Besides, things may get a bit more dangerous in the future." Harry said.
Xeno looked at him with a stern expression.
"Does this have something to do with that beast who attacked my dear daughter? My sources have been hearing some strange rumors lately."
Harry nodded and Xeno looked down for a moment before looking at Harry again.
"Very well, I will accept your generous offer. Thank you."
Luna grabbed Harry's hand and looked at her father.
"See daddy? I told you Harry was the best." She smiled brightly.
Xeno looked at Harry once more with a serious gaze.
"But you can't have my daughter…yet"
"Daddy!" Luna let go of Harry's hand and her face got a bit red.
Harry turned toward his elf.
"Alright, we are leaving Lorry. To Gringotts" He wanted to escape the awkward situation that Xeno created.
Lorry helped Harry and with a pop, they were gone.
After they were gone Luna looked at her father with an indignant expression.
"Oh, I just remember I have a lot of work today!" Xeno left the kitchen in a hurry.
