Authors note:

We have officially hit over 100k views and 1k collections! thank you all so much I really appreciate it! I hope to keep writing something you guys will enjoy!

Its come to my attention that some of you guys feel there are blatant plot holes and things like that, that's on me, the way I wanted to unfold most of the information was throughout the first arc, I didn't want to overload the first few chapters of a shit ton of worldbuilding, so I'm sorry if you think that isn't a good way to write the story, I just hope you keep reading and eventually the holes will fill in. once again sorry and I hope you enjoy the rest if you stick to the book!

-------------------------------------------------------

"Finally, it's all coming back now."

"What do you mean it's all coming back now Alaric?" asked a confused Theodoric

While he was waiting for an answer, Theodoric suddenly felt a huge pressure bearing down on him, not only him, the entire estate felt like a mountain was weighing down on them.

This pressure that the entire estate felt was the sheer volume and intensity of Alaric's magic now that he had a focus to channel it through.

While everyone was freaking out over the sudden appearance and disappearance of the magical pressure, Alaric was currently thinking something that would've made anyone who heard and just felt what they did pale in horror.

'It seems I've gotten access to about a tenth of my original magic power.'

'At this level, I should have no problem beating most if not all seventh years at this point.'

(A/N: sorry for the early break in the chapter, but I felt I need to address this before you guys come for my neck. one-tenth may seem like a decently large amount of his original power (any time he mentions his original power means his peak which was Alaric I) but you need to know that his power increases will not be linear, they are exponential, every tenth of power he gains, he becomes twice as strong as the previous amount, so at 5/10 of his original power, he is twice the strength of his 4/10 power, etc. now I hope you enjoy the chapter!)

"Grandfather."

"Yes Alaric?" asked a now worried Theodoric since he noticed his grandson's tone and overall feeling had almost leveled out to a cold yet neutral one

"Can you, Uncle Osric, Mr. Daniel, and anyone else who wants to witness my magic meet me out on the lawn?" asked the ten-year-old with a chillingly even tone

--an hour later on the lawn--

'It seems acquiring the magical focus was all I needed to fully acclimate to this body.' Thought Alaric while freely controlling a single bolt of lightning

'I feel like my head has cleared from the fog that used to be there, I can better recall my memories as well, that must be from the boost my ancient/pure magic gives to my occlumency.'

'I finally feel like myself again.' Thought Alaric, thinking about how he was being influenced by his childish body and brain

'I mean, I'm down for a good laugh just as much as the next guy, but being a child sure was annoying.'

'But at least I now have access to my ancient magic again

"sigh, it's a shame that most if not all ancient magic wielders have died off, maybe I should try and find a way to replenish this world of its pure magic, after all, it might just be my folly that led to this situation we find ourselves in," Alaric said to himself

The kind of magic Alaric is referring to is Pure Magic, or as most wizards nowadays know it, Ancient Magic.

Ancient Magic as modern wizards know it, is a special talent or ability that has died out and hasn't been seen for the past hundred years.

The last known practitioner of this powerful form of magic was, officially speaking, an unknown Hogwarts Student who attended in the late 19th century, however, the Reinhardt Family knows him as Frederik Reinhardt, a member of the branch family who lives on the Island of Pellworm at the ancestral Estate.

Frederik was the second son of the head of the branch family back then and had chosen to attend Hogwarts after his late bloom at the age of 15, he was previously thought to be a squib.

Although the records state he was the last person to use Ancient magic, in reality, the House of Reinhardt as a whole, branch family included, unknowingly use Ancient Magic.

The way they do is due to the inherent affinity of the Reinhardt Bloodline to control one or more elements freely like it's an extension of their body.

Free control over magic and subsequently the elements had been something that wasn't common, but also wasn't that rare in the ancient world, all the way up to about a millennia ago when ancient magic started to decline rapidly.

The only reason the House of Reinhardt still boasts this ability is because of the dragon blood that flows through their veins

Another famous practitioner of Ancient magic is Augustus Knight, the man who built Hogwarts, who even had some Reinhardt blood in him, and was the great-grandson of Alaric II, through his mother, Elina Knight nee Reinhardt, the beloved granddaughter of Alaric II.

The Knight family was a relatively old Saxon wizarding family who died out around the 14th century.

But enough on them, the reason why Alaric refers to Ancient magic as "Pure" magic is due to the fact that unlike modern magic now where you need an incantation and wand to use, pure magic was something that ancient wizards would tap into that was within.

Over time, however, as the wand and other magical foci were invented, the use of magic slowly became more and more about channeling the surrounding magic into your focus and using it with a command.

--a few minutes later--

Theodoric, accompanied by Daniel, Osric, Helen, and a few more servants along with some of the wizards who guarded the estate that Alaric had seen walking about had arrived at where he was standing.

A few meters in front of them was Alaric, the once cheery young boy was now standing there, with a calm and cold disposition.

"Well Alaric, I've gathered everyone who wanted to see this "show" you'll be putting on."

"Excellent, now shall we begin?" asked a now smiling Alaric

After Theodoric gave him a nod of confirmation, Alaric took the queue and immediately got to work.

Utilizing his new yet masterful control over the magic around him proceeded to raise a great wall of stone around 3 meters tall, quickly rotating his body to the other side and sending out a stream of blue fire, which immediately made Osric, and Theodoric's eyes widen due to the blue fire being just below the pure white fire, similar to lightning.

Moving on from there, he condensed the water molecules in the air and unleashed a jet of highly pressurized water at the stone wall, and swiftly cut through it.

And for his final show of power, Alaric spread his magic around him and lifted his body off the ground with wind magic while simultaneously creating a storm cloud above him, throughout this process, his body started crackling with thunder and his eyes glowed a bright blue which also gave the effect of a storm.

By the time he was a few meters off the ground, Alaric stopped elevating and with as if he was their second coming of Thor, without the red hair and beer belly of course, unleashed a powerful lightning strike onto the grounds.

"fulgur percutiens!" Called out Alaric as the storm cloud rumbled and unleashed the bolt of azure blue lighting.

He quickly descended and promptly fell to the ground onto one knee where his grandfather immediately dashed toward him and caught the magically exhausted boy.

The second his head hit Theodoric's arms, Alaric passed out.

--a couple of hours later--

*groan*

"Ugh, bloody hell do I have a nagging headache."

Alaric, with his newly amplified sense, picked up on a sense of danger and evaded his head to the side, as he did a fly swatter swung right past him.

"Seriously you can't just let the boy heal?" Theodoric said to Helen while masking his surprise at Alaric being able to all of a sudden dodge Helen's light-speed movements

Helen also stood there in surprise before she collected herself and responded with a "Yes sir." before apparating away

*pop*

"Sigh, so, Alaric, mind explaining what just happened and how you suddenly learned how to wield all of the main elements with such mastery?"

"Uh, would you believe me if I said I had a prophetic dream?" Alaric asked with an innocent smile

Seeing his grandson joke with him again brought a smile to his face.

--June 25th, 1991, King's Cross Station, Platform 9 3/4--

"Hey~" Sofia called out as she ran toward Alaric, Theodoric, and Daniel

"Hey, Sofia." Alaric waved as he walked up to his sister

now that Alaric had finally reached the age of eleven, he had started rapidly developing, he already stood at 154cm making him just 5cm shorter than his sister who was fourteen.

Alaric also looked more mature than his age, albeit he only looks thirteen but that's still two years older than he really is, Sofia herself looks to be around 15-16, like most girls in her year, those that are wizards anyway.

Alaric still remembers how when his sister caught wind of his little stunt last year when he got his ring. She blew up in the great hall according to her friends, she even sent several howlers to him admonishing the boy for his recklessness.

Now that Alaric was past the age for his magic to start rapidly developing, he started training his body along with his magic, he plans to visit the Ancient Estate and go into his old study, which is only accessible to him, and him alone.

The reason for the visit to the old estate was to not only meet the branch members of the family but to also grab the things he needs to create his "Development Potions".

These special potions would not only help to vastly quicken his magic training but also help with his physical body development as well.

"So I'm assuming by the way the bucktooth bastard is walking swiftly in the other direction, that Marcus Flint is still shaken up from last year?" Alaric asked

"Hehe, yeah he is really scared, especially after what I did to his bed," Sofia said with a mischievous laugh

"oh? What did you do?" asked Alaric with a smile of his own, one that was a little more malicious than mischievous, but hey, it's the thought that counts right?

"Oh nothing much, I just set his precious bed on fire while he was out," Sofia said while failing to suppress a giant smile

"I'm guessing that was what the letter I got from Albus was about?" Theodoric said with a raised eyebrow

"The letter didn't tell you what I did?" asked genuinely interested Sofia

"Sigh, no it did not, all it said was you destroyed school property, the old goat even tried to get 100 galleons stating it was for "mental rehabilitation of a scared student" That old fool knows better than to ask money."

"I swear, you helped the guy out in a couple of wars for personal reasons and all of a sudden he thinks you're his greatest backer." Theodoric sighed with a small smile

Although he talks about Dumbledore like that, Theodoric and the headmaster actually have a relatively good friendship that spawned from going to war alongside each other back against Grindelwald and then after Voldesnorts return as well.

"Hey, grandfather."

"Yes, Alaric."

"I've been meaning to ask if it's okay with you, how did Grindelwald find out that great-grandfather was going to take the family over to the ancestral estate?" asked an intrigued Alaric

"Sigh, well, the blame fully lies within one single man, Robert Ellington, a muggle-born orphan who my father helped when he found him in an orphanage, he took him under his wing and we even treated him as a brother."

"Alas, all it took was some sweet talking from Grindelwald about granting him power and renown to switch his allegiance."

"The bastard ratted out our family and he was the sole man responsible for so many Reinhardts dying out," Theodoric said with his fist clenched

"I'm sorry Grandpa," Sofia said as she went to his side and comforted him

"It's alright my dear, I've long since gotten over it, especially due to the fact that I was the one to personally end the man's life."

Even though he put up the facade of a man at peace with his demons, Alaric could clearly tell that was the farthest from the truth. the way he knew, because he saw the eyes of a man who was broken inside, not unlike Alaric himself.

Sure being super powerful and influential is nice and all, but constantly seeing those you love to die, one life after another, would eventually turn the soundest of minds insane

"Sigh, well, on a lighter note, I'm happy to tell you two that we will be going to France along with your Uncle Louis and your cousin Silas," Theodoric said with a small smile

"Cool! What all are we going to see?" asked an excited Sofia due to never being outside of Britain before she couldn't wait to see other countries and their wizarding populace

"We will explore the wizarding side as well as the muggle side of France, and then after we will pay a visit to Samuel, the current head of the branch family and he'll show you two around our ancestral home."

'I wonder how the centuries have treated my beloved old castle?' Alaric thought to himself
