Chapter 20: Ghosts are back?
Then in a loud voice he said. "Hee i wanna laugh too. Can you repeat the joke?"
"BghaAaaa!" x2 Both boys began to yell out of fright. One quickly ran and hid behined the tree while the other tripped, fell on the fround and hurriedly tried to get up.
"Don´t leave me Fred!"
"It is the survival of the fittest brother. May the superior brother survive"
Luke smirked at the two boys. "Yo, calm down. You are overreacting a little bit, no?"
When the brothers heard that calm voice both of them stopped. George got behind his brother that was behind the tree and they both turned to face Luke.
Seeing it was him they calmed down a little. They still felt somewhat nervous because they were following his group for some time.
"Hi, what a coincidence running into you here." Said George nervously and with a fake surprise.
"Hi, you really scared me there. You know it is not polite to just sneak up on somebody like that." Said Fred.
"Yeah sorry about that. You are completely right. Sneaking up and creepely following somebody and his friends is just so damn rude. I feel ashamed of myself." Said Luke sarcasticaly.
"As long as you understand..." George.
"...me and my brother forgive you." Fred.
"Hehe" x2
Luke just speechlessly watched the two brothers giving him their forgivness. (Am i the bad guy?) He had this thought for a second. (These guys are good. Seems like a fun bunch. I still want to find out why they were following us. From the movies i know that they are good guys. It may not apply in this world but i have a feeling. So the soft aproach it is.)
"Let´s start again. Hi my name is Luke."
"This is Fred..." Tried to introduce George?
"No you are Fred!"
"I am?"
"Yes."
"But then who is George?"
"George? Who is that?"
"What!?"
Even though Luke found the comedic duo amusing, his friend were waiting for him. He laughed a little too loudly to remind the boys that he is still there.
"Freds, you seem like alright dudes. Me and my friends are just about to play the games of Please not the nut. Would you like to join us?"
Brothers looked at each other in confusion.
"Please not the nut? Have you ever heard of it George?"
"No, but i am very interested. Let´s join them George."
After nodding to each other they looked back at Luke.
"Fred and i decided that we would love to play."
"Yes Fred and i want to know what kind of game this is!"
"Heh very funny guys. But you should know that repeated joke stops being a joke... Follow me, i will take you to the field."
"Have you heard that George?"
"Yes George. He indirectly called us annoying."
Luke just shook his head at the boys. Pointed to the left and said "George" and pointed to the right "Fred" then he just turned around and started walking.
"No fair!"
"Quickly George shuffle!"
Both boys started changing positions with each other while they began to follow Luke.
(This may have been a mistake.) Thought Luke while his head was already starting to hurt.
;pov change, the squad;
The squad was currently preparing the field and pine cones. They thought about changing their ammunition to different materials, but not only were they too lazy to do that, they also realized that cones are kind of perfect for the game. Light, hard but soft, hurts but not too much.
After few minutes the squad could see that Luke was closing in with two more people.
"That lazy bum is finally here." Said Cedric.
"What took him so long?" Said Beth.
"Maybe he had diarrhea." Said Jordan with finger pointing up as if he had figured it out.
"Jordan!" Angelina scolded him.
"Okey, okey calm down! I was just joking. Besides what are Fred and George doing here?"
"They must have followed us." Said Angelina with annoyed expresion.
"You guys know them?" Asked Cedric.
"Yes they are our classmates from griffindor." Said Jordan looking a little uncomfortable.
"You don´t seem to be happy to see them." Said curious Beth.
"They are not bad guys. They are just..." Said Jordan while looking at Angelina so that she helps him to find right word to describe them.
"Annoying." Angelina finished with a scowl.
;Pov change Luke and the Gingers;
*Sigh* (What does everybody have with my bowel movements today?)
"George stop annoying our new friend!"
"But i did not even do anything."
(At least these two idiots did not hear it. I can already imagine the stupid conversation and jokes that would follow. I have image of perfect guy to uphold dammit! Stop making my job harder.)
When they finally all met up, Angelina blew up at the twins.
"What are you two doing here? You know no means no right?"
Both twins just looked to different sides and embarrassedly laughed. One scratched his cheek while the other the back of his head.
"What do you mean by that?" Asked Luke not jumping into conclusions.
"They ask us almost every day where we are going and why do we spent so much time hanging out with you guys." Said Jordan.
"Today they asked at least a hundred times if they could come with us. We said no since we wanted to tell you guys about this first and ask you what to do about them." Said Angelina.
Luke nodded. "So what do you mean by hanging out with us? Do you have some problem with that?" He asked looking at the twins with a little coldness getting into his eyes.
Twins quickly began raising their hands in surrender and wildly shaking them.
"Nonono, you misunderstood."
"We were just bored and were curious what you were doing."
"Yes we heard you talking about some game."
"..."
They quickly started explaining themselves. They realized how they could have been misunderstood.
;one explanation later;
"So let me get this straight. You just wanted to become friends with us. But because our friends here misunderstood you as somebody not liking that they are friends with us, they did not give you a chance. You did not realize that this was happening so you kept asking questions. Because they did not answer you. You got more and more curious and in the end could not help yourselves and follow them to see what we were doing. Correct?" Concluded Beth while holding back a laugh.
Both twins were nodding their heads furriously. While Angelina an Jordan felt a little embarrassed.
"I am surrounded by morrons." Facepalmed Luke. "Let´s just get this started."
Even though their new addition took a while to get into the game, everybody had fun. By the end of the game they understood why the game was called Please not the nut or PNTN for short and realized the importance of dodging.
;time skip dinner time;
"Angelina you are ruthless." Said George whileleaning on the table.
"No mercy." Said Fred doing the same.
"Hm. It is initiation ritual for new players." retorted Angelina.
"I see... Wait a second! What about girls?" Asked Fred.
"You would hit a girl? What a scum!" Said Beth with disgust but everybody saw she was just having fun.
"Brother how could you even suggest such a thing? Girls should be protected." Said George trying to alienate himself from the fire that his brother was in. But it did not really work out for him.
"Ho he is one of those...Luke what did you called them? Ah i got it. Simp!" Said Cedric.
Jordan and the girls laughed. Luke got serious expresion as if a teacher was preparing himself to change the life of his students and enlighten them.
"You see George, woman wanted to be equals to men since ancient times. Even now woman are struggling to accomplish this. Discrimination against them is rampant and they always complain how man see them as weak." Everybody got interested into what Luke was saying so it they got quiet. Even some neighbouring students started to listen. Both boys and girls.
"So i ask you. Is it not our duty as a real gentleman to help them realize their dreams?" Luke said with passionate voice. Even more people started to listen to him. Girls started nodding while boys were in contemplation.
"What?" Asked George not seeing how this has anything to do with what he said.
"I see you are of simple mind my friend but don´t worry. I will make it easier for you to understand. It is a simple philosophy really..."
Everybody was now looking at Luke waiting for his words of wisdom.
"If a girl hits you in the crotch it is your duty as a real man to hit them in the crotch as well."
After a few seconds it took for everybody to realize what he said loud "Booooo" was heard. Almost all the girls were boooing at Luke jokingly. Boys looked at each other with shinning eyes as if great enlightement fell upon them.
Angelina punched him on the shoulder while Beth and the boys started laughing out loud. Soon even girls could not help themselves and laughed a little.
"Auch! Angelina what did i just say? Now i have to return the favor." Said Luke while massaging his shoulder.
"Hm you would not dare!" Said Angelina crossing her arms.
Luke Looked her in the eyes. When he saw her daring him to do it and seeing her so sure that he wouldn´t he shrugged and punched her in the shoulder too.
"Auu! You hit me? You really hit me?" Said Angelina in disbelief.
"What did you thought that i wouldn´t?" Asked Luke the stupid question in a stupid voice.
Seeing Lukes smug face made Angelina snap (((woman...))). She jumped at him making him fall on his side on the bench. Half of his upper body was lying on the bench and upper half was leaning at poor Cedric sitting next to him.
Angelina was sitting on his legs trying to hit him bit he was holding both of her arms. (Jees this escalated quickly.) Seeing Angelinas face he got a little scarred.
Turning his head and seeing Cedric laughing at him he quickly asked him for help in strained voice. "Brother... help... me.." Of course if he wanted he could get out of this with his strenght but it was not worth it.
Cedric smiled at Luke with a thumb up and moved out of the way. This made Luke completely lay down on the bench making it easier for Angelina to get to him. (I will not forget this, traitor.) Thought Luke seeing the smug face of Cedric.
He again looked at the red face of Angelina that did not seem to want to let him go without attacking his poor shoulders again. (I have to do it.)
Suddenly Luke spread their arms appart making Angelina that was pushing down on him fall at him. Panicked "WAhh" was heard from her. Luke made her face fall right beside his. He then quickly whispered to her ear. "You look so cute when you are angry." "Bfaaah"
Stopping in her tracks after she made the noise she suddenly realized what positions they are in. With even more power then before she got up from him. She quickly looked around seeing envious gazes from the girls and a lot of people laughing. She then looked at Luke with murderous gaze and said to him. "I will have my revenge!" Then she left with quick steps.
"Hahah that was funny." Said Beth while wiping her tears. "I am going after her. We don´t want her to plan your demise now do we Luke? You should not play with a girls heart like this." Then she stood up and went after her.
"George i am joining the simp club." Said Fred.
"Good choice brother." Said George.
A lot of boys nodded hearing this.
"And that is why there will never be true equality between man and woman." Said Luke quietly while still lying on the bench.
"Haha that is right my friend." Suddenly a translucent head appeared next to him.
"I have been saying this for centuries." Luke quickly got up and realized that ghost that had half of his body sticking out of the ground started talking to him.
"Hello youngster. Sorry for late introduction but i am Fat Friar house ghost of hufflepuff.
(Well thats new.)
