Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Gu Clan!
"How do I get Lackey Points though?" Stephen, who was now Gu Feng questioned.
[The Host has 2 ways to earn Lackey Points. The Host can either attain them by helping the individual who has Lackey Points! The Lackey Points will be rewarded to the Host according to the significance of the Host's help.]
"I understand." Stroking his chin, Gu Feng spoke thoughtfully, "For example, if a person with Lucky Points is a rich and powerful being, if I give a dozen Spiritual Fruits to him, I would be able to receive Lackey Points, but because he's rich and powerful, such things are common to him. So, in the end, I would only get a pitiful amount of points?"
[Correct.]
"However, if that same person got was stranded in a seemingly boundless desert with no one to help and he was very thirsty, and coincidentally I was there and gave him a bowl filled with water, I would be able to earn a bountiful amount Lackey Points, am I right?"
[Correct.]
"I get it, I get it." Gu Feng nodded his head while feeling a little bit proud of himself.

Back in his life on Earth, watching cartoons and reading manga were some of his pastimes. That's why he was extremely familiar with people being sent to another world becoming more and more stupid as time came by.

[The Host can kill the individual with Lackey Points.]
"K-kill, huh?" Whether it was in his life on Earth or in this world, Gu Feng had not killed anyone. Hence, he had conflicted feelings right now.
Should he kill or not?
'No need to think about that right now. I still have more pressing matters at hand.' Although he could avoid it right now, Gu Feng truly knew that his chances of killing anyone to earn Lackey Points were frighteningly high.
As he noted earlier, this world had the law of the jungle.
'Be the prey or the predator.' Naturally, Gu Feng deeply cherished his life so he would not choose to become the prey.
[After gaining Lackey Points, the Host can use them to materialize anything the Host wants.] As if the system realized that Gu Feng was in disarray, it suddenly buzzed inside his head.
"A-anything?" The system's abrupt interruption worked as Gu Feng's thoughts strangely stopped as his eyes shone a peculiar light.
[Anything.] For Gu Feng, the dull and emotionless system's voice suddenly became... sweet and captivating, as if the system itself became a devil and was enticing Gu Feng to do its bidding in exchange for fulfilling his desires.
Silence suddenly dawned on the room as the system didn't speak after that.
Gu Feng closed his eyes as he started to sort out all the information he just received from the system.
After a while, his eyelids trembled and slowly moved up, revealing his crystal blue eyes.
"Brat, you're not finished shitting yet?!" All of the sudden, the same booming voice of the old man sounded outside of his room.
Gu Feng stayed silent for a moment and virtually practiced his response in his head before loudly yelling,
"Coming now!"
The original Gu Feng had a rebellious type of personality. And it rather went well for him since he had rebellious friends back on Earth, plus he also had his memories of all the habits, manners, and behaviors of the original Gu Feng. Thereby, acting like he was like a piece of cake.
Creak!
Upon opening the door, Gu Feng saw the old man broadly standing outside.
"Unexpectedly, you don't smell like a shit, brat!" Gu Fengcai who was covering his nose with his hand revealed a shocked expression.
"Of course! I'm Gu Feng, one of the most promising youths of Gu Clan! How could I smell like shit?" Crossing his hands over his chest, Gu Feng sneered.
"That's the correct attitude! Arrogant and domineering! Come, come! The Clan Meeting is about to start, we need to hurry." Gu Fengcai nodded his head in approval before reminding Gu Feng of the current important matter.
Gu Feng nodded his head as both Grandfather, and 'Grandson' made their way towards the center of the Gu Clan Settlement where the Meeting Hall was erected.

Gu Clan was located deep within at the southern of the Jia Ma Empire. The Gu Clan was one of the most prominent Clans in the area. Although it was considered the backwater of the Jia Ma Empire, the number of inhabitants there still exceeded about a hundred of thousand, both cultivators and normal people.
Inside of the Meeting Hall, several figures were currently seated in beautifully carved wooden chairs that were placed in a circular position.
"As one of the pillars of the Gu Clan, it is expected to be punctual as much as possible." Inside the Meeting Hall, several figures were seated circularly as one of them lifted his head and looked at the door which had just been opened as 2 individuals entered.
"Furthermore, you're not only several seconds late but you also brought Gu Feng here." The same person added.
"Well, the meeting's related to him, after all. I can't just let my favorite grandson be ignorant of his affairs, no?" Gu Fengcai nonchalantly replied while patting Gu Feng's shoulder.
'Related to me?' After triple-checking his memories, Gu Feng was sure that today's matter would be like usual. Train in the morning till eve with his 'Grandfather' as his personal mentor.
'So, this is why he was more lively than usual.' Gu Feng looked at the tall and muscular figure beside him at the side of his eyes before turning to look at the seated figures in front of him.
'They are the high-raked elders of the Clan. Hmm, this means that this meeting is of high importance.' Gu Feng carefully and deeply thought while maintaining his stoic expression.
"Greetings, esteemed elders, and Patriarch." Cupping his hands in front of his chest, Gu Feng bowed.
"Hmm." The same individual who Gu Clan's Patriarch and the one who spoke earlier--nodded his head as he then gestured Gu Feng to come forward while saying,
"Very well, you may come and join us since what Fengcui said makes sense."
"Understood, Patriarch." Gu Feng respectfully nodded his head as he walked onward with silent steps.
As for Gu Fengcui, he was already seated beside the Patriarch signifying his high status within the core circle of the Gu Clan with a huge grin plastered on his face.
He was feeling schadenfreude at Gu Feng's opposite attitude.
'Well, it is refreshing to see him acting so respectful and submissive once in a while.'
"Now, that everyone is here. Let's proceed to the meeting." The Patriarch, without further ado, spoke.
"In a month of time, the Fire Set Academy's group of staff will arrive. They will be conducting recruitment for new students. We, the Gu Clan, were given 3 free slots of immediate recruitment. Meaning, the 3 individuals who have the free slots are not needed to participate in the recruitment and can go enter the Academy immediately.
"And, Gu Feng, as one of the future pillars of the Gu Clan, was selected to have one of the slots!"
