Chapter 2: Heart to heart
"Charlie, before we start catching up, I need to know if everything's ok. I saw what happened on the T.V, you rarely ever have outbursts like that."
Tears started welling up in Charlie's eyes.
"No, everything's not ok. My father was completely right. Everyone has been right about me. I am just one big failure."
She began to sob even harder. I embraced her and let her cry into my neck.
"There, there Charlie, everything's ok. I'm here now. Tell me everything that's been bothering you. I'm sure getting it out of your system will make you feel so much better. I want to see that beautiful smile of yours afterall, I want to see that twinkle in your eyes when you're excited and most of all, I want to hear your beautiful voice sing."
"I know most demons are terrible people, and inconsiderate of your feelings, but it's hell after all and I know you're tough Charlie. But sometimes, you need someone to talk to, and I know you usually tell Vaggie this kind of stuff, but why don't you tell me for a change? You're the most beautiful and amazing demon I've ever met, so don't let anyone tell you otherwise."
Charlie blushed a bit while she wiped away her tears.
'As cute as I remember. Well, it's time to get her all cheered up. Charlie deserves so much better than what she gets.'
"O-ok, I will." Moving back from her perch on my shoulder, she wiped away the remnants of tears, and spoke from her heart.
"My Dad told me how childish and naive I am, how I will continue being a failure with the mindset I have. My mom, on the other hand, disagreed with me completely but still supported what I wanted to do. Then everyone I've met has only laughed at me or made fun of me, but I tried ignoring them and I continued to do so, until we got our first client, Angel Dust. He was doing so well, but then she started a turf war. Making us lose all our credibility and I became a laughing stock when I thought I was finally succeeding for once but it seems like I'm a failure after all it seems they were all right. Do you think I'm a failure to Mephisto? Have I caused only more problems? Have I done nothing right?"
Charlie asked me on the verge of tears again.
Each word of hers tugged on my heart strings. I truly felt horrible it hit her so much harder than in the show, and knowing I caused this pain made me feel terrible. She was just so precious I hate seeing her this way.
I shook off the feeling.
'Now's not the time to doubt myself now is the time for action, Charlie needs my support.'
"Charlie you are not a failure period, no matter what others tell you. Everything you've done was just so amazing you established this place you have a client you haven't failed. I could never even fathom calling you a failure your a beautiful, smart,and confident girl I like everything's about you. You've done so many things right and you haven't caused any new problems and let's say you did harm some people they all deserve it."
Charlie eyes began to water and her cheeks blushed more than what they usually looked.
"Do you really like me?"
'Her confidence really did hit a low, I guess having no support throughout everything shes been through hasn't done much plus she isn't as close to Vaggie as she once was so their heart to hearts might not be as often.'
'I honestly can't say I've been gone for ten twenty years dealing with things in imp city.'
"Yes I do Charlie, I like you for who you are, and you need to cheer up. I missed seeing you happy, and I'm so sorry for not coming back sooner, I've missed you so much."
"I've missed you so much too Mephisto. I-I think I like you too can you give me a little bit to let all of this sink it's just so much. And Mephisto thank you for everything you've said. I feel so much better."
"I'm happy to hear that and Charlie, take all the time you need. If you'd like I can even stay at the hotel and help out."
"I'd like that alot, thank you Mephisto."
She flashed me a smile before she wiped her face and eyes of all tears and went inside.
'I can't believe she likes me back! I mean, it's great she likes me back, I'm so glad I can spend time with her again. Hopefully we can start dating if I play my cards right.'
With a slightly damp upper shirt, I followed in Charlie's footsteps inside.
'Though now I really want to kill each one of those bastards who laughed and mocked her, especially that bītch news host, a little suffering will provide an adequate lesson, as well as a message. I'll have to do it personally though if I want to get through to her. Just because Charlie was interested in girls and tried dating one or two, and she had the audacity to say that.'
'She will pay dearly for what she did today, but for now she is safe. What matters most is keeping Charlie happy.'
I looked towards Charlie and she smiled back at me with her beautiful smile. I was encapsulated within my own happiness, and infatuated with her everything. Only for the moment to be ruined as a knock awoke me from my thoughts.

Ignore the dots obviously and I'll see ya in the next one. within the next few days I'll start work on the stat vs the forces of evil fic just planning some things at the moment for it and I am removing some of my workload from my other stories due to bonus chapters.
