She gulped as she realized that her dad was this close to her, She looked towards Day, trying to convey the message with her eyes, but apparently he was too busy glaring at the woman in front of him
Hazel stored all her thoughts in the cage she had built for years, and concentrated on the enemy in front of her, who was looking at her as if Hazel amused her.
'So you guessed who I am? Hazel we will give you peace and everything you want if you fulfill us something'
Hazel brow furrowed, the old hag continued, 'We just need a little of your blood, after that you will be one of us, but on a higher post, everyone you love will be safe with you, and we will reign'
Hazel snorted, but still asked, 'Why?'
The old hag kept looking at her and didn't answer.
After a while, horror dawned on hazel's face as she realized what was happening.
She remembered what her dad had told her, 'The Harbs had always been dangerous, They will use trickery to inject something in you and make you one of them'
'I woin't bicom one f them' Hazel cooed, she had a stutter since birth which was later cured naturally.
'We don't know what they inject, but it makes you like a robot, you obey them and even kill your own tribe's'
Hazel remembered and she realized her dad had prepared her for this.
Hazel knew, if she said no they would force her, her only chance was saying yes and avoid getting locked up.
Hazel realized that Day, Leo and the mad old hag were staring at her, waiting for her response and what she did next surprised all three, Hazel nodded and said, 'We won't even survive in the shitty world outside and we will have everyone we love' She assured Leo and Day, who were looking at her as if they had never seen a human before.
'Good choice' Tanda, the reincarnation of devil said. 'You will be under our protection , now lets go Hazel, you've gotta rest before the extraction'
'Wait, what about our friends?' Hazel questioned.
Tanda smiled, 'They are safe, we built a camp in the camp and assured them you would be returning soon, in this case, they will come here after the extraction, we send the people to not kill them, but keep them occupied and also test their fighting skills, now go and rest, I will send your dad to meet you Hazel'
Hazel's heart exploded in regret as she pictured her dad's face, filled with sadness and a little hint of disgust, she knew he would probably still carry the same expressions, she smiled because she was ready to face him, she had 9 years to strengthen herself, nine years to build an invisible shield from the ruthless world. She had lied... her dad never trained her to fight, he didn't even care if she died, she knew that the world would swallow her on the first chance and that had made her determined to make herself a warrior and stronger enough to stand on her own shoulders.
The men untied them and led them through a few more corridors at last arriving to a suite with a fingerprint locked door, inside were 4 rooms, a huge kitchen and TV lounge, they guards left the 4 to explore while locking the fingerprint door behind them.
Leo and Day rounded on her, while jane watched meekly from a corner
'Are you serious hazel, you know that they will not fulfill their promises!? Do you want us to die!?'
Hazel couldn't tell them the truth as she knew that the room was drugged, any word or indication on her part would be noticed.
She shrugged, 'Just trust me, this would be best for her, for now enjoy a hot shower and normal home made food'
Hazel shut them off and went in a room, closing the door behind her and starting to scheme against Tanda and her Mad rule.
