Chapter 6: The Reunion

Kim Anderson's point of view [POV]

___

The door opens before I could even make a knock.

The corners of his mouth curves into a smile as he stands at the doorway. Nothing has really changed about him except his once Viking-gold hair is black now and short.

My eyes traces down his burly physique.

Then my mind takes me on a ride to the first day I saw him at our Mansion. I couldn't take my eyes of him. He looked every woman's definition of a perfect man.

He had bristly eyebrows that made his almond shaped dark-brown eyes stand out. They were a-blaze with passion. His hawkish nose added to his adventurous look and all these were what got me attracted to him that evening.

Tears shimmers in my eyes as stand in front of the door taking a ride down memory lane, but then reality struck me when he interrupts me.

"Kim?" He moves his hand across my face as if to wake me up from a day dream.

"Are you there? I asked you to come in a minute ago." He says giving out a smile.

I try as much to ignore the warmth he gives me with each smile. I am not here to brood over my past with him but rather finish what started ten years ago.

I remove my hand from the black Jacket I wear and points a gun at him.

"Get inside!" I shout

I can see the glint in his eyes that says 'what the hell is she up to?'

I hold the gun close to his head as I follow him inside.

"What are you doing Kim?" He asks.

"I want revenge!" I bellow in a vile tone.

"You murdered a man in cold blood and spent ten years in prison and you think that is enough? To me that isn't the perfect way to pay for your crimes." I continue still ignoring the 'what the hell?' look on his face.

Walking further across the almost empty room, He halt and turn around facing me.

"Do you still remember what happened here ten years ago?"

I wonder what he is talking about then I remembered.

This is the place we had our first kiss ten years ago. That day was the best moment of my life. We stood very close to the fireplace. The flames curl and sway, flicking this way and that, crackling as they burn the dry wood casting long shadows of our figure over the the room.

It was so good to feel its warmth on the cold night whilst in Carl's bossom.

I mellow at the return of that memory but snap out of it a second after.

"I frigging hate you Carl Moore" I say with a doleful tone as tears shimmer my eyes.

"Kim...Kim I... l..."

"Shut the hell up! You murderer!" I exclaim still pointing the gun at him. He prostrates himself raising his hands up.

I couldn't maintain my tears any longer.

The pain I felt ten years ago returning all of a sudden.

I still love Carl and that isn't a secret but I couldn't over look the fact that he murdered my father!
