Chapter 94: Tossing the Coin of Trade

[At the nursing station]

"Erm … excuse me?"

"Yes?" Manila questioned the young intern in front of her.

"My roommate... Erm... Morpheous had asked me to give this to anyone at the nursing station." 

"What happened? Is he still sick? He hasn't come to work." Manila questioned as she attempted to open the envelope.

"Sick? I don't think he was sick. Anyways... I am late for my rounds. See ya!" 

Manila watched the intern leave and opened the letter.

"What the hell!" She exclaimed and called Erica immediately as soon as she was done reading it.

"Hello, Erica!"

"Yes, Manila. Anything urgent?"

"Morpheous has resigned. His roommate handed over his resignation letter to me."

"He has what?" Erica exclaimed so loudly that Manila could hear a ringing in her ear. 

"He has also left a cheque for four hundred dollars for Dr. Caroline. Should I call and inform her?"
