Chapter 22: The gnurx king

Later that night, at a forest not too far from the warberry commander Derrick and his two trusted men were sitting close to a bur fire, and they were all quiet, but that was when one of his men asked.

" Should we report them to the clan head"?

" Let just leave it as it is since our mission is just to protect the young clan master, and they did it in our stead" replied commander Derrick.

" Commander do you notice that young master Ellis is different from what the rumors say," said the other of commander Derrick's man.

" Is not that the rumors are not true, but young master Ellis has changed" replied commander Derrick.

" Should we head back to the clan?" asked the same man.

" Not yet, we'll have to wait and see if the gnurx king will make another move. In the meantime I will have to send a message to the clan head to send reinforcement replied commander Derrick before laying on the grass and started staring at the sky.

" For you to request for reinforcement, those commanders think there will be a war outbreak since" asked one of commander Derrick's men.

" Not any war but the young master won't be able to last for long if we don't request for reinforcement, and you know what the consequences are if the young master was to lose his life" replied commander Derrick.

Elsewhere in another forest not too far from the warberry lays hordes of gnurx and within the hordes of gnurx sat a gnurx who is 10ft tall with a chubby body and by his sides stood to gnurx warriors. While they were doing their daily activities, a gnurx suddenly ran into the hordes and knee before the gnurx king before giving his report.

" My king, the commander of the second unit, and his men were defeated".

" Hmm, it is to be expected" replied the gnurx king.

" My king allows your humble servant to lead his men and conquer the warberry," said the gnurx warrior by his left.

" There will be no need for that either Greg" replied the gnurx king with a cunning smile plastered on his face.

" Morris get your men ready, tomorrow you are delivering another wave of attacks lets see if they could resist this time around," said the gnurx king to the gnurx warrior by his right.

" Yes, my king" replied Morris before bowing to the gnurx king and walk out to gather his men.

" You should have sent me to claim the warberry instead of Morris my king," said Greg.

" I don't want to show them our hand for we don't have any information about them and sending Morris over is the best choice" replied the king gnurx in a serious tone

" So we are probing them," asked Greg.

" Exactly, since they could eliminate our first attack shows that the clan is beginning to take us seriously" replied the gnurx king.

" And if the clan is involved, then an elder must have been despatch and I heard those elders are monsters" side Greg while thinking.

" Uh, if they could survive this time around, then I think that's the case" replied the gnurx king with a nod.

" While don't we just send the whole army instead of just starting the waters my king," asked Greg.

" Oh, look who just got smarter. Now am the dull one" replied the gnurx king in anger.

" My king, this low servant of yours is not fit to lift your neither to calm being wise," said Greg while kneeling on the ground with a bow.

" Good you know your place, if the clan head was to send his elders and elite fighter then we'll be completely wipe out. So you see Greg sometime before you speak think" replied the gnurx king while signaling Greg to rise from his bow.

" Yes, my king," said Greg before getting up.

" Now go and get me, my slave that will warm my bed tonight," the gnurx king said to Greg before going to his room.

Back in Vukya Empire, in the Gibson clan head Palace, another meeting was being held and the two young masters and the elders were present.

Sitting on his throne clan head Finn looked around those present and seeing that they have all arrived, he took a deep breath before saying.

" I just received a message from commander Derrick, and it stated that the gnurx goblins are planning to take warberry as their territory, and they will be needing reinforcement".

" Clan head, if what he is saying is true, then I suggest we send our army over before it becomes too late" replied elder Luke.

" Elder Luke, it is seen to me that you have completely forgotten about the Bryan clan," asked Elder Garry to elder Luke.

" There are enough combatants to face them if they were to start an attack, and it is not possible but the warberry is one of our major source of earning income and raw materials for making equipment and losing it will be a big blow to the clan" replied elder Luke.

" Since we can't send our army over, then while don't we just sent the elite members over" asked young master Wyatt.

All this while since the beginning of the meeting young master Wyatt has not been paying attention to what they were saying but when he heard them thinking of whom to sent to warberry to assist his younger brother and an idea hit him.

" Hmm, what do you have to say about your brother's suggestion," asked clan head Finn to young master Simon.

" I disagree on that, if we were to send the elite members over than our fighting force will be weakened if the Bryan clan were to attack us.

" Then what do you suggest" asked clan head, Finn, while looking at Simon attentively.

" I suggest we send a hundred men over beside with commander Derrick taking charge defending the warberry cave will be easy" replied young master Simon.

When clan head Finn heard what his eldest son said, he became happy that his son is thinking like a leader now.

"It settles them, Elder Luke I will have to trouble you with the arrangement of then," said clan head before walking out.
