Chapter 53: Daily lives.
There really isn't much to tell about what goes on during the school year. I have prevented most of the nasty things from happening and the school is guarded by some of the strongest wards on the planet. There isn't any way for any nasty little things to slip in and ruin things. It was actually a decent school experience.
The most exciting thing to happen was Hermione finding out about the girls and I received a nice slap across the face for my troubles. She didn't speak to me and avoided me like the plague for over a month. This one was pretty much my bad. I mean you can't expect someone who comes from normal muggle backgrounds to just be okay with the person you like having multiple partners.
She still talked to the girls but I was the one on the receiving end of a biting cold shoulder treatment.
This just goes to show that not all plans can be achieved by pure willpower and motivation sometimes things can and will go wrong.
So I did the mature thing and just sucked it up and took my punishment.
As for Hannah abbot I had zero interest in her and she actually had a thing for Neville which was great. He was a good kid and was doing much better in Hufflepuff. He had gained some courage made some friends and made decent grades once his wand was replaced with one of his own. His old wand was his fathers and didn't work for him so he had trouble casting magic. After professor sprout was informed and he received a proper wand of his own he did much better.
Ron weasley was also actually doing much better as well. The only reason he was studying so hard was for the sweet prizes at the store. Even the twins had stepped up their game as their was cash rewards and they needed money to open up a business. I had actually approached them with an offer and they accepted it. 10000 galleons and I would get 40% which was acceptable to me. I even offered them professional grade tools and managed to get it up to 45% which was as high as they would go as they wanted control of their own shop. I was fine with this. After some contracts were signed and I gave them the gold and gear I left them to do whatever.
Classes were going well. I had the best grades I could get except for that one blemish with the boggart that's still chuckled about today.
Moody had high praises for me and took to doing private training. In fact most of the teachers had high praises. I would be sitting pretty much all of the OWLs Fifth year and I didn't even have to take classes to do so. I mean I had a mastery in most of them and if I couldn't pass there was probably something wrong.
Meetings with perenelle and nick were also quite fun. We usually sat around and chatted on weekends and had tea. They would answer any questions I had happily. I had a thirst for knowledge they loved to see in the younger generation. I even invited them over to the manor during the summer to visit if they wanted and they happily agreed.
They were a fantastic couple.
In other news I had perfected quite a few items that aurors could use like communication earrings. Kind of like the ear mics swat teams use but a bit more discrete. Camouflage amulets that let people blend in with the surroundings. There were of course invisibility cloaks but those things cost a fortune. Mine was a cheaper alternative. And then there was deployable shields it was in the shape of a little cube you could carry in your pocket one. You simply press a rune and put magic into it then drop it and a small wall pops up half of it is transparent so you can see your enemies and just aim your wand over the wall and blast away. The other half was reinforced to take quite a bit of spellfire.
I had patents for all three items. I was paid handsomely from the DMLE I had even made a deal I wouldn't sell them to the public. Of course I was the one paying for most of the stuff in the DMLE so I pretty much just gave them away for free.
After two months of not talking to me Hermione finally gave in. She started slowly speaking to me again. I had to work my way from the ground up to get back into her good graces. Sweets, limited edition books, praises and sweet talk, simple dates to get back in her good graces. A full explanation on my lordships and explaining that even if I didn't marry the girls the ministry would have just forced me to marry strangers I even showed her the law. Which I couldn't change without unanimous votes as it was an old law and there was always pure bloods who voted not to change it.
She calmed down quite a lot after that. Of course that didn't last very long as she started asking way too many questions about all my lordships and who exactly all my wife's were since the math didn't add up.
My lordships were, Wyllt, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Peverell, Potter, and Black.
Then the girls she knew about were, Luna, Susan, Padma, Fluer, Daphne, and Tonks. See the problem?
So that led to a whole other argument when she found out about Astoria, Ginny, Bella, Bellatrix, and then the big one was Narcissa.
"A professor!?!" She screeched. "How could you?!? How could she!?? Aren't you related!!!"
Terrifying. It took me and all the girls to stop her from going off the deep end and shouting up a storm blowing all my secrets. I had to silence her and I still received another smack in the face and was ignored once more. Fucking tragic.
