Chapter 8: Chapter 8. Goodbye.
Things turn for the better between us. Kurt started fetching me from my class the next day. He would take my books and carry it in one hand while his other hand intertwines with mine. I walked nervously with him down the lockers as jealous girls, specifically Dinah and her squad, glares at me. Gemma gave me a thumbs up as we pass by her and Bruce at her locker.
Everyday we would create our own little world at our secret oak tree haven. Kissing and whispering sweet nothings until the sun sets. Our tiny abandoned barn was not so abandoned anymore. We frequently visits the place and make love under the stars. We were happy and we were in love.
Two months pass and i patiently waits at home for Kurt to fetch me. Mom knocks impatiently at my door, "Heline get your ass to school."
I sigh and text him. I'll take the bus. Mom's furious.
I hopped down the stairs and mom looked at me with a raised eyebrow. "Why are still moping at you room?"
"I wasnt moping mom." With that i walked to the waiting area of the school bus.
The school bus stop right in front of me and i climb in. I sit at the front row nearest seat. I look around and saw some familiar faces. Liza and Amber were there and some few others. I pulled my phone from my bag and check. No reply. I texted again. 'Hey, I just hopped on the bus. I'll see you in school.'
The bus stopped and we all climbed down. Gemma and Bruce waved frantically at me and i went towards them.
"Hey love birds," i teased.
Gemma's faced looked worried. She pulled a white folded paper from her bag and gave it to me. "Kurt gave that to Bruce last night. He said to give it to you."
I quickly unfold and read the letter.
'Dearest Heline,
I am sorry. We cannot be together anymore. I'm leaving.
Kurt.'
I froze and my hands trembled. I felt a nauseus feeling creeped from inside me as I vomitted at a nearby garbage can. My head spinned and the last blurry scene i saw is Gemma and Bruce rushing towards me. Then everything when black.
