Chapter 12: Entry #12: Push

SIMON'S POV

"Okay, find your own group mates. Remember, only four persons per group," our teacher instructed.

This was the most dreadful thing, groupings. While everyone was busy finding their group mates, I sat still. I had no one.

Sometimes I envied those who had people choosing them as a partner or as a group mate. No one did that for me.

Probably, I would have to make an output by myself again.

When the afternoon dismissal came, as usual, I waited until everyone had left. I didn't want to go with them. Out of everyone, I was the only one who would walk alone.

I had no one, and that was fine with me. I didn't mind it at all. I was used to it.

Even so, I often wondered what it felt like to have a friend. Or someone you could hang out with or talk to.

Why did everyone have friends except me?

I left the room and locked it. Walking in the hallway alone had always been lonely and awkward for me. Being by myself made me feel like a loser.
