Chapter 39: Let me comfort you Daniel

She almost fell backwards at the intensity of his voice, his loud voice snapping her out of her daydream of her future Luna ceremony.

She turned and saw the pain and distress in his eyes. Her eyes softened a bit as she came close, placing one hand on his cheek.

"Let me comfort you Daniel...please" She murmured softly and leaned to kiss him.

Daniel saw it coming but pretended like he thought she was coming in for a hug and embraced her instead. It was either that or risk her getting anrgy and acting on her plans. She could even gather everyone in the house and expose her secrets and he was sure Alpha Koan wouldn't hesitate to kill Naomi especially since she hadn't attained her powers yet and couldn't even transform. She was basically a human.

So he hugged her instead, feeling not a single iota of comfort like she promised but only held her tight in his embrace, his mind going back to the hurt look in Naomi's eyes when he had rejected her …
