Chapter 75: Her anger

"Long time no see buddy", she muttered.

There was a gun pointed to his head. Thought the cold onyx eyes were completely devoid of emotions, the owner was burning with rage inside.

The man lying on the hospital bed could recall those eyes anywhere , any day and at any time. Those were the same eyes that he had once looked into and begged for help.

He instantly recalled how the still emotionless eyes had been directed to the people persuing him and what had happened to them. Muntaha felt his heart accelerate out of fear.

It was rare to make him afraid and what was more rare was that he was not afraid for himself. He was afraid for the young girl sleeping peacefully on his chest unaware of the short recoil operated semi- automatic pistol that was aimed between her eyes.

He swallowed nervously not knowing what to do or say. This was his first time feeling weak , vulnerable and helpless after the incident that happened a few years ago.
