Chapter 1: A Story Unfolds
This is a fanmade novel of the anime and manga of Boku no Hero Academia or My Hero Academy
Context: This is a world where human evolution has lead to discover supernatural abilities or commonly addressed as quirks. As of now, almost 20 percent of humanity have quirks. In order to avoid the possibility of destruction due to wrong way of using quirk, the government launch a career plan that aims to protect the weak and trample evil called hero. They play a big part in stopping villains and gangs that want to do bad things. As early as high school, anyone can apply to be a hero on a 3 year course
The rains starts slowly falling as the cloud became darker
students start running to catch their rides and others look for cover
one of the high school students with a noticable black bird head stops and stares intently above as rain soaks him wet
(the skies seems crying again) he thought to himself
"Its not that bad" a voice inside him replied
*Flashbacks*
On the backyard of a traditional Japanese house, an old man and the bird head guy as a kid spar using a single handed sword
"youre quite fast, but you still lack power and skills in order to beat me Fumikage-dono" the old man said
Context: dono for me means a respect call for someone who is younger
"I'll just have to try" Fumikage replies with determination
The old man breaths and meditates, "Sound Reaper" the old man chanted as he attacks very fast
Fumikage's weapon shattered to peices and he was thrown back by the sword's force
"Still a fledgling I see" the old man boastly said. He notices a small cut in right his face, "What the!"
"I saw a glimpse of that move and tried to counter. But it was too fast for me" Fumikage replies with a satisfied grin
"Tsk, dont be too full of yourself" the old man said with intimidation. (to think a kid in this generation can move with the speed I used, no wonder the boss has his eyes on him) the old man thought to himself
A woman in a formal dress called Fumikage, "He commands your presence" said
the old man sheathes his blades and cease his battle stance. "That is it for today Fumikage-dono" he said
"thank you for your time today Shinra-sensei" Fumikage answered
Context: sensei means master or teacher
Fumikage accompanies the woman and went inside the premise. they walked till they reached the master office and entered
A man sitting on a chair greets them, "Tokoyami, how was your training today?" he said with a deep and disturbing voice
"I will surpass him soon" Fumikage replied
"Well then, Ai is it ready?" the man said to the woman beside Tokoyami
"Yes sir, we just await your commands" Ai replied with courtesy
"Very well, prepare Fumikage's belongings immediately" the man replied. "Tokoyami, in case you haven't noticed, your going to train in the mountains to improve your skills, there is a shelter there for you to sleep for 3 months" the man said to Tokoyami
"What would I train in there?" Tokoyami asked with doubts
The man stares breifly and said, "That quirk of yours, I believe it gets uncontrollable when the environment gets darker and your negative emotions becomes greater. In this training, you have to find control and peace over your quirk and in a way, overcome your weakness. You have to know how to hold on to your humanity and not get to the other side"
"I see, well then I'll head off immediately" Fumikage replied. He then bows with respect and head out to await his departure
"Ashura-sama please rest assured that Fumikage will be safe" Ai addresses to the man.
Context: sama means to address someone with respect
Context: Ashura is the leader of a nameless organization that governs Japan's hired assasins and hitmen. But none of the hired men can know the identities of the people who governs the organization.
In a car heading out to its destination, Ai and Tokoyami is seating. And Ai is adressing Tokoyami, "your 3 month payment for the rental is already done, we will leave you there alone. The old landlady there is good at meditation, she will teach of what you need. And when you have time which you obviously have, try to improve your other skills as well"
(the mountains huh, I should improve my mobility in a forest terrain) Tokoyami thought
After a 3 hour drive, the car stops in front of an old house. And the old woman greets them with a warm welcome
"Tokoyami, I will be leaving for now" Ai said
"I'll be fine" Fumikage replied
"Well then, I will lead you to your room" the old woman said as he accompanies Fumikage upstairs in the house
"Thank you maam, I will unpack my belongings by myself" Tokoyami said as he entered his room
It took a while for Tokoyami to prepare his room. He look at the window and saw a moving silhouete of a kid. Tokoyami focuses his spectation but the silhouete vanished.
"I wonder what that was?" a voice inside Tokoyami said as he materializes to a shadow like entity that is connected to Tokoyami
"Dark Shadow, don't just appear unknowingly. Return this instance its getting dark" Tokoyami said with convictions
Dark Shadow responsively followed the command and reverted inside Tokoyami
Context: Dark Shadow is a quirk or power that has its conciousness, as a being of the night Dark Shadow feeds off and get more powerful with Tokoyami's negative emotions and the darkness of his surroundings, it is however weak against light but gets uncontrollable if the light around Tokoyami lacks too much
"Dinner is ready" the old woman tells Tokoyami
After dinner, Tokoyami went to straight bed. "from my perspective the shadow looks like a little kid. I'll find her when I wander the forest tomorrow" Tokoyami said to himself
