(Stoicks thoughts)
Stoicks Pov:
I didn't really like it that Hiccup found out about the heir thing. As he walks out I start thinking about weather it was such a good idea to let him have his way when my attention is drawn back to my group of supervisors talking about the idea.
"Well guys if we are all in agreement I would say lets let him do as he wants because he may prove us all wrong." Thorfinn says. Gobber responds "I agree, Stoick." As I am thinking they are all staring at me and then we hear the stairs and see hiccup coming down, as he does I respond. "I think that it is a good idea." Just loud enough for hiccup to hear and he heads out.
"Well I have got stuff to do so I will see you guys later tonight." I say to the advisors, they leave and I start worrying because what kind of father would I be if I didn't worry. I mean what if he gets ambushed by wolves, or dragons, no food, no water, unprepared. You know what I have been thinking about this to long it is almost 6 and that is when hiccup normally disappears.
I walk out and down to the blacksmith when I run into hiccup and say. "Hiccup." he responds in an irritated tone "What." I respond with the answer that he is going to like hopefully. "I have thought about what you said, and I will send you to Heir training school in 3 months since that is when it starts." I say But his response is not what I expected. "Well then until then I will try surviving on my own to see how I can handle myself on my own. It will be good Practice for School."
"Ok." I say and he responds in the same way as before. "Well then I have stuff to do, and I will be seeing you in 3 months, After I leave tomorrow morning." I am thinking that if he leaves tomorrow morning he will miss the Exam. "But don't you want to take the test, you are doing so great, unless Astrid is pressuring you." He walks past me without stopping and says. "No, she is not pressuring me and also, I don't want to take the test as I said before. I want to survive on my own and see how it goes. I will be leaving tomorrow morning so I will say goodbye tomorrow."
"Ok." I don't know where he is going but I might as well get some stuff done. Right as I am about to leave I see Astrid following hiccup for some reason. Well no matter though as I go to the blacksmith to see Gobber, but when I get there I see a bunch of new weapons and stuff in a box. I guess hiccup was making goodbye gifts, I'm not going to search through them best to keep them secret. I look around and I don't see Gobber so I guess he isn't here.
I go to the main hall to make the announcement about hiccup when I run into Gobber. I tell him about the gifts and not to touch them, along with, something I want him to make hiccup for his journey along with something else. I go to the main hall and tell everyone about hiccup leaving tomorrow and since it is hiccup it spreads like wild fire.
I have a dinner of Steak and then I head to bed since it is almost 9:00, as I am heading home I think I see a flash between me and the moon but I don't think much of it and just head to bed.
I wake up at 6:00 and Hiccup is gone so I go down to the docks and see hiccup coming from below deck and locking it? I wonder why, who cares though and I ask. "Why didn't you wait." Surprisingly he says. "I didn't want to trouble you, don't worry everything I know I need is below deck, if you want to add anything put it on deck. Also, this is supposed to be for me to survive on my own." I guess he is right.
"I know it's just that I want you to be prepared." I'm worried for him if I am being true. though he gives me an answer I was not expecting. "I'm anything if not prepared, now if you will excuse me I have stuff to do." Then he runs off without saying anything else.
I go to the great hall so that we can get the meal ready for hiccup to leave. Some time passes and I go around looking for hiccup and I see him by the forest talking to Astrid trying to get out of Conversation so I call out for hiccup and he comes over. He seems happy to be out of his conversation with Astrid and we go up to the great hall and have the feast.
I don't talk much as the feast is mainly for him and his classmates, hopefully he will return better than before. As he is leaving he says something unexpected. "Check beneath the deck of your houses." I think that this has something to do with what he made in the blacksmith yesterday. I go to my hut and look under the deck and find a new war hammer with a note saying: "Dad here is a new Warhammer." I just can't say how proud I am so far since he isn't even home yet.
