Chapter 176: Chapter 176: Red and White, Again

As Kokabiel looked at the image of his severed arm floating in front of his face, he heard a chuckle and looked in the direction that it was coming from. The hate inside him grew even more with that and the look changed to a glare. And Erik noticed it.

"What? Now you are gonna tell me that you don't know magic to reattach a severed limb?"

Erik asked mockingly while smirking at the glaring Fallen Angel.

"You hateful human!"

Kokabiel whined at Erik and snatched the floating forearm from the air with his remaining hand.

"Yeah, yeah. You hate all humans. With me being the most hated one."

Erik replied to Kokabiel while waving his freed hand in front of his face like he was waving a fart. While he was doing that, Kokabiel took the moment to reattach his forearm with the use of his magic. It didn't take long to do so since the cut had been very clean. Thirty seconds later, the Fallen Angel was closing and opening his just reattached hand, trying to see if everything was alright and trying to get a feel for it. While Kokabiel was doing that, Erik let go of Griffyndor's sword, making it disappear again, and stood in place while looking at his enemy.

"Are you done yet?"

Erik asked Kokabiel, making the Fallen Angel glare again at him.

"I will make you pay, Ravenclaw."

Kokabiel said again heatedly.

"Yeah, yeah. Say whatever makes you happy. Come on, low-budget vampire, Let's fight!"

Erik replied to Fallen Angel while rolling his eyes at that. It was not the first time that Kokabiel had said that to Erik, but, today, he would make it the last time.

"Ahhh! Die!"

Kokabiel yelled while forming a light sword in one of his hands. With his weapon of choice formed, he dashed in the direction of Erik intending to strike him down while yelling.

"That's more like it."

Erik said in a low voice to himself and took a punching stance, with his left leg to the front while pulling the right hand back. As Kokabiel deferred the first strike, aiming to bisect Erik longitudinally, the target in question quickly back-stepped and let the sword of light pass harmlessly by him. Kokabiel's eyes went wide seeing that and tried to pull his hand back, but he had put too much strength behind the strike and could not do it. It was then that the image of Erik in front of him flickered and disappeared, followed by the appearance of Erik right in front of him, just a few centimeters away from his body, and them…

*BAM*

A small sonic boom was heard and the next thing that Kokabiel saw was the figure of Erik quickly diminishing together with the human city where they were fighting. It was then that the pain warnings reached his brain through his nervous system. Kokabiel felt like he had been hit by a meteorite right into the stomach area. The force behind the punch had been so strong that the Fallen Angel had been launched into the sky like a rocket. The next thing that Koabiel knew, between the bouts of pain that were still reaching his brain, was that when his speed was diminishing and his body was getting to the highest point available with the force applied, he heard the sound of a low 'crack' coming from above him, in the sky.

*crack*

His thoughts, probably accelerated due to the 'near-death' effect, could only ask himself 'where had he heard that kind of sound before?', because the sound was somewhat familiar to him. It was then that he remembered where he had heard it before. It was apparition, an instant movement technique developed by magic humans.

"And because of gravity, everything that goes up has to come down~"

Kokabiel heard the hateful voice of his enemy coming from above him. He opened his mouth to try and say something spiteful to Erik, but when he did it, the only thing that came out of his mouth was blood. His blood.

*BAM*

Another punch from Erik and Kokabiel's body was now flying diagonally in direction of the ground. At that point, nothing more came to the Fallen Angel's mind beyond the pain.

*crack*

*BAM*

Another low 'crack' sound and Kokabiel's flight trajectory changed again. That sequence continued for some time. Erik would apparate in the flying path of his punch bag and would punch it again, sending it flying in another way. For those seeing the scene from afar, it looked like Erik was playing tennis with Kokabiel being the ball that he had to hit to the other side of the net. But for Erik, it was not a sport. It was a therapie. He was finally letting go of all those years of repressed feelings that were yelling to him to just be done with the low-budget vampire and kill him for good. And after a while, with a final punch, Erik sent Kokabiel's face in path to a meeting with the ground.

*BOOM*

A loud sound was heard and the ground shook while a cloud of dust rose to the air, having originated very near where the fight had begun.

"Hah~"

A satisfied sigh was heard from Erik while he gently landed on the ground, having chosen to fly his way down instead of apparating.

"You seem satisfied."

Erik heard a feminine voice saying from behind him. He turned to look at the owner of it and smiled widely at his wife, Joan.

"And I am. That was… Rewarding."

Erik replied to Joan. The teenagers around, Devils or not, were looking at the scene with shocked expressions that included, but not only, wide eyes and open mouths. They could not believe what they had just seen. They knew that Erik Ravenclaw was one of the strongest existences in the world, but they didn't think that the difference between his power and the power of Kokabiel, someone that was admittedly at the higher ranks of the Ultimate Class of power, would be so great. Erik was toying with the Fallen Angel the same way that a dog toyed with a chewing toy. The less shocked people of the bunch of teenagers would probably be Sona Sitri and Tsubaki Shinra. Both girls had, more than once, watched Erik spar with some of his wives, with Serafall, Musashi, or Joan, being his opponents.

As the dust caused by Kokabiel's body impacted the ground, a big piece of purple and red meat could be seen in the middle of a small-sized crater. Around the tattered cloth, that once upon a time could have been clothed, which tried to cover parts of the battered piece of meat, somewhat rectangular holes could be seen that exposed another piece of 'meat' where a person could easily identify a closed hand imprint.

"Is he even still alive?"

Xenovia asked no one in particular while looking at the scene and cringing a little at it.

"Oh yes, he is still very much alive. I made sure not to hit a place where the damage caused could not be easily reversed. He is only going through a lot of pain while having most of his bones broken."

Erik replied nonchalantly, making some of the teenagers wince at the mention of immense pain and broken bones.

Erik stood in place for some time, admiring his hand-work, until he was fed up with the guy hiding in the shadows and called him out.

"How long will you still pretend to be hiding, Vali? You know very well that I don't like to be spied on."

Erik said in a loud voice and turned his head to face an area that had a lot of trees. The teenagers around turned to look in the direction that Erik was looking and saw that behind one of the bigger tree's trunks a devilishly handsome boy with hair appeared. The boy slowly walked near where the majority of the people were staying and stopped while looking at Erik.

"Your senses continue to amaze me, Lord Ravenclaw. Since when have you noticed me?"

The white-haired boy, named Vali, asked Erik with a small smirk on his face. Erik just rolled his eyes at him.

"Since you arrived in the city, Vali. Three hours ago."

Erik replied to Vali, who instantly lost the smirk on his face and had his left eye twitch in irritation. He thought that he had become proficient enough to hide from Erik, but it seemed that it was not good enough.

"Don't put yourself down, kido. Most people would have not sensed you. It is just that Erik is… Well, Erik."

Joan said to Vali, who nodded his head slowly, accepting the truth of that comment. Vali then walked to the border of the crater containing the bundle of flesh identified as Kokabiel.

"Haven't you gone a little too heavy with his beating, Lord Ravenclaw?"

Vali asked Erik while continuing to evaluate the state in which Kokabiel found himself.

"Not at all. If you knew half the stuff that I know about this low-budget vampire warmonger, you would have killed him instead."

Erik replied to Vali while shrugging. And Vali could imagine what kind of things he knew about the Fallen Angel. Erik's information-gathering service was famous among his allies. How he managed to 'bug' some of the most secure places in the supernatural world was still a mystery even to his foster-father, Azazel. Suddenly, a somewhat mechanical and loud voice was heard coming from Vali's direction.

"Are you not going to talk to me, Red?"

The question sounded and the teenagers, aside from Vali, started to look around, since they had not seen Vali opening his mouth to talk, searching for the source of the mechanical voice and this 'Red' person that it was addressing.

"There is nothing to talk about, White."

To the wonder of all the teenagers, another somewhat mechanical and loud voice replied to the first. Now, few of the people around knew who had just talked, since it was not the first time that they had heard that voice. As if indicating this knowledge, Rias Gremory's entire peerage looked at Issei Hyoudou, who was standing by Aika Kiryuu's side. Or more precisely, they looked at his left hand, where a draconic-looking red gauntlet could be seen with its central green jewel blinking. The owner of the second voice was Ddraig, the Red Dragon of Domination, or better saying, the soul of Ddraig that had been sealed inside the Boosted Gear Sacred Gear.

"Ah, I see. You are still afraid of Lady Joan."

The first voice said again, and this time, everyone looked at the Vali again, or more precisely saying, looked at his left hand, where a draconic-looking white gauntlet had appeared and had a blue jewel blinking in the same way as the boosted gear. It was then that many of the teenagers there recognized who was the first mechanical voice that appeared. It was Albion, the White Dragon of Supremacy, or better saying, the soul of Albion that had been sealed inside the Divine Dividing Sacred Gear. At that tease, Ddraig didn't make any effort to reply, because it was true. His past host's loss at Joan's hand, or better saying, sword, had left a mark on the soul of Ddraig. Even more when that specific host of his was one of the strongest that he had in a while. But he would not take this tease from his rival in silence.

"At least I lost to Dragon Slayer sword, and not a barehanded punch."

Ddraig said to Albions. Anyone could feel the 'mocking' dripping from the mechanical voice with a somewhat tone of victory achieved.
