Chapter 2: Letting Go
At the Emotion Palace cafe, a handsome man was looking extremely angry, a carefree looking man, who looked handsome and innocent stood in front of the kitchen with his head lazily against the Wall, with his hand folded on his chest and said " you really don't look that sad, are you faking it, or you just don't care that as a man, you were disrespected and humiliated like that", the handsome man in black looked at the man from the corner of his eyes " I know you are trying to rub it in, but am not affected, at least not that much. Am not that dumb I knew something was wrong when she approached me, my doubt grew stronger when she didn't want to hold hands, hug me or even spend time with me, all under the guise that she wanted to graduate before, and your boy Marcus made it more obvious with that guilty look he looked at me with whenever he dropped her. I knew it and I really didn't care because I really had no feelings for her, it was only a childhood crush, and even though she's beautiful I don't really give a damn, but it becomes personal when am used as a bait to hook in some heir of a global company, and after that, they even have the cheeks to invite me to their wedding, now I feel like messing it up".
"Wait, she's getting married?", asked the lazy looking man named John, who was the best friend of the handsome man. " Yeah, they even had the audacity to invite me" said the boss of the cafe while gritting his teeth.
"That Linda is surely heartless, you broke up. barley a month ago, and now she's getting married, I need to take lessons on how to be that shameless from her". Joked John as he laughed at his boss who had a gloomy face, but then suddenly released a long sigh, " the wedding is next week and I will be going alone" said the man in black with a melancholic look on his face, " you do know that if you show up like that you will be mocked right?". " Though I don't really love her, seeing her happy with someone she loves will do a lot of good to me. John shook his head and muttered under his breath " this is clearly someone in love, why can't he see it, all you have to do is reveal you identity and she would be yours"
One week later, a Man wearing a simple black suit with white shirt and a black shoe could be seen approaching a luxurious hotel which had flashy and expensive cars parked in front and distinguished and high level guest were swooping into the hotel. The Austin family was a giant global industry company who stood only below A Group . Even super power countries don't like to offend them without a good reason and today was their only heirs wedding. The man in black suit walked in front of the guards at the hotel and showed his invitation card, the moment he entered the wedding reception hall filled with people, he became the center of attention as everybody gazed at his tall body and handsome face, wearing that suit he looked like a model. Nobody recognized him, but then he saw his junior high friends which he hadn't seen for years, since he never attended college, infact he dropped out of Junior high at a young age. He joined them and the moment they saw him, they all looked at him with pity. " Hey guys it's been a long time, the handsome man approached them with an enthusiastic look, which was rarely seen on his face. " Luke where have you been all this years?" asked Anna, the rest of his junior high friends grouped around him, and were really happy to meet Luke again since they've not see him for 7 years, he was the smartest and most brilliant boy in class, the teachers all predicted that he will become someone important, but alas faith was to cruel to him.
They all knew that he just owns a cafe barely hanging on, and they all also knew he had a Crush on Linda since Junior high, but nobody wanted to "rob salt on his wound", Very soon it was announced that the bride was coming and they all had to get seated. Luke sat at the back row, then the place became silent as the bride approached with her father in hand with a handsome groom standing on the alter, he briefly glanced at Luke with a Victorious look, but Luke didn't even notice as he saw the only woman he had ever Loved walking past him, she was wearing a long white dress, she had long black hair, a red lips, small nose and sexy looking eyes, she had a petit body, but she looked like an angel so pure and innocent to be in this World, Luke watched her get further and further away from him, until she was in front of the groom. Everything proceeded smoothly and then they were pronounced husband and wife. Luke looked at the newly wedded couple and smiled.
That smile carried many emotions, it was mixed with pain, joy and the most importantly relief, he slowly got up from his seat and left without anybody even noticing.
On the streets of the City, Luke casually walked around without a specific location thinking about all the times she spent with her at junior high school, those were his most precious memories of her but it eventually faded away being replaced by the memory he saw of her holding hands with her husband.
He felt like a string tied around his heart has been released, he couldn't really explain it, but he felt good seeing her happy, he was now ready to move on without any regrets.
suddenly a multiple line of black SUV Escalades, With a golden "A" at the front pulled beside him, and he just entered the Convoy of cars and just like that he disappeared
