Chapter 8: A Night With Umaru-Chan!
Umaru POV
"I'm glad that Kirie is alright. I do hope she doesn't hit her head too hard. The fall wasn't that far but yet still painful."
I said that while I was trying to sleep.
I can't stop thinking about Kirie and the fact that she might not be okay. Which concerns me alot. My friends are nice, and I won't allow them to be harmed.
Yet again, I Umaru, can't sleep, so I decided to get up from bed.
Big Brother is in the hospital with Kirie, since it was his fault for putting a ladder up for anyone to climb on.
So I'm yet alone, I walked to the kitchen to search for something to eat, Potato Chips? Cola Maybe? I've eaten the last of my chips, and I need to buy some more.
But I do think I have left over cola in the fridge.
It's 8PM and the convenience stores are still open. Maybe If I just do a little quick run to the store and buy something to eat, it wouldn't be so bad, and that's what I did.
I "borrowed" some money that Big Brother has been saving for like the past week.
Sorry Big Brother, I'll repay you, as there will be a contest that I'm sure I will win.
I get dressed up and prepare to face the cold wind, I make sure I have the keys and lock the door before going out.
It's a beautiful night today, the moon is shining as bright as ever. Which makes me relaxed for a bit before I go down the stairs and run to the near Mini-stop.
Returning, I definitely have enough to satisfy me for the night.
Although I wish for Big Brother to return as soon as he can.
Umaru doesn't like being alone...
I was going up to the apartment and suddenly I saw Ebina outside our door, knocking, calling out my name to see if I was there.
"Oh, Good Evening Ebina-chan!"
"A-ah-! U-umaru cha- Good Evening too!!"
Ebina was rubbing her hands, maybe because it's cold. I can tell Ebina was startled by me.
But I do wonder what she is doing here, does she want something?
I of course asked what she was doing here and she told me something I wouldn't even expect.
"W-well... about earlier... n-Not- her- I... Well.. i was thinking about this..."
Thinking. Is this a break up of our friendship, that she's uncomfortable to be around me? I have no idea. She's still stuterring, I need to get her inside, she must be freezing, I'm also getting sick by the cold wind.
"E-Ebina-chan, why don't we go in first? The wind is freezing, isn't it?"
Ebina agrees and we go inside the apartment.
I offered her some tea that Big Brother made earlier, I just heated it up again.
I couldn't offer her some Cola because they're mostly for me.
"H-here! Please help yourself with some tea!"
"T-thank you..."
She takes the cup and takes a sip from it, from the looks of it, she likes it.
Thanks Nii-chan.
I let her sip the tea and relax for a few minutes before she's done and relaxed now as she looks at me.
It's just like every time she visits here.
But knowing she knows who I really am, will change this.
"How was the Tea?"
"I-It was refreshing.. T-thank you for the tea... did you make this, Umaru-chan?"
Did I Make this? For sure, Big Brother made it, but will she believe me if I said Yes?
If Yes
"O-Oh! I did! I know how to brew tea. I teached Big Brother to even make some for himself so he doesn't have to bother asking me everytime."
"R-really? W-wow, Umaru-chan! Y-you really are an amazing person!
Ebina looks up to me.
"I-It's not a big deal, I'm not amazing, but oh boy, he's so lazy, heheh."
"I-I see..."
Ebina will remember that.
"So anyways..."

"My Big Brother made it, he's really awesome"
"R-really? W-wow... you have an amazing brother, Umaru-chan..."
Ebina seems impressed.
"He's sometimes lazy, so I sometimes have to make the tea"
"I-I see..."
Ebina will remember that.
"So anyways... Why were you at my door Ebina-chan? Do you need something?"
"A-ah-! Of course! I'm sorry for not explaining sooner!"
I said it was alright as she explains why she came to visit.
I was surprised at first, and I'm sure I didn't misheard her.
"You want... to see the other me?"
I asked the most appropriate way to respond.
She nods, happily, it's like, she wants to see how I really act. I don't know what and how to feel...
I'm not really comfortable sharing my other life, other than my Big Brother.
But if I say no, she'll be sad, or maybe even worse.
Since, Big brother isn't here, and the night is free.
I finally have an excuse to be lazy!
I smile, confident.
"Alright, Ebina-chan. I'll do this, just once, because I don't do this very often."
Of course I do this very often.
Ebina nods with a smile on her face.
But gets concerned, like she realized something just now.
"B-but p-please don't push yourself too hard for me! W-we can stop, if you can't do it too!"
I told Ebina it's alright, I can handle myself.
