Chapter 66: Noelle Vermillion
The next day, Kaylee, Christopher, and Liam go to work. Christopher receives a message from his father reminding him about the meeting with the Vermillions. He closes his laptop and looks at Liam.
"Liam, Dad said I have a meeting with the Vermillions next week. Contact this Noelle Vermillion's assistant for the exact date and time." After Christopher said that, Kaylee went to the pantry with a bowl of carbonara.
Liam and Christopher looked at her. She blinked. "Why?"
"Did you cook?" Christopher asked.
Kaylee placed the bowl on the table and nodded. "Yes, I cooked it myself, and I used my own money. I wanted to reward you guys for taking care of my grandma."
Christopher and Liam looked at each other and then smiled. "You don't have to thank us, but thank you for the food."
Christopher stood up, walked toward Kaylee, and kissed her on the lips. "Thank you."
Kaylee smiled. "I should be the one thanking you."
"I am okay, as long as you're with me."
Liam sighed as he put the carbonara on his plate and started to eat. If he watched the couple in front of him, he was sure he was going to puke.
Christopher and Kaylee started to eat, too. When they finished eating, Liam started to contact Noelle's assistant and arrange the meeting. They decided to set the meeting for tomorrow since both Noelle and Christopher are free tomorrow.
"Topher, her assistant said that you're the only one who should meet her. If not, the deal is off."
Christopher frowned. "What do you mean?"
"This is an important deal, after all, Kaylee and I have to stay outside, and you're the only one she wanted to meet."
Christopher massaged her temple. "Understood."

The next day, at the Vermillion Hotel and Resort.
A woman with ash grey long hair and grey eyes wearing a black dress that fits her perfectly curved body was sitting on the couch in front of Christopher.
Christopher loosened his necktie when he saw the resemblance of the woman in front of him with her. The woman in front of him right now is Noelle Vermillion, the eldest among the Vermillion sisters.
Her emotionless yet gentle face she's wearing while reading the documents in her hands makes Christopher in awe. "This deal is important, that's why we have to discuss it with just the two of us. At first, I don't have a plan to be your business partner, but if it's you I don't mind."
The moment Noelle finished her sentence, the door flung open. Noelle and Christopher both looked at the door. The moment Noelle saw who it was, the gentleness on her face disappeared.
She looked at Christopher and coldly asked. "President Jarvis, what is this? I believe my assistant told your assistant it must be the two of us. Why is this guy here?"
Ethan, on the other hand, was taken aback. He couldn't believe what he was seeing right now. "Noelle?" He said without realizing it.
Christopher frowned while Noelle stood up without looking at Ethan. "I am sorry to say this, but the deal is off."
Christopher stood up and held Noelle's arm. "Wait!"
Noelle looked at him and then at his hand that was holding her arm. She removed his hand and walked away. The meeting had just begun, but it also ended.
When Noelle left the private room, she stopped on her track, her mouth slightly open. Behind her was Christopher, who also stopped on his track.
"Kaylee? What are you doing here?"
Kaylee pointed to herself as she looked at the woman in front of her. "Me?"
Noelle's eyes soften. "Right, you don't know me. I am Noelle Vermillion, your grandma knew me."
"My grandma?" She blinked.
"Yes, what are you doing here?"
"I am President Jarvis' assistant."
Noelle raised her eyebrow.
Christopher let out a fake cough. "She's also my girlfriend."
Noelle's eyes widen. "No way!"
"And why is that?" Christopher said as he walked toward Kaylee and held her hands.
"Is that true? Tell me, is he forcing you to be his girlfriend?"
Kaylee didn't know what was happening, but she still told the truth "I am really his girlfriend. And he's not forcing me."
"Damn!" Noelle looked at Christopher and let out a deep sigh. "Let's re-schedule this meeting then." She added and left the hotel.
On the other hand, Ethan gritted her teeth.
'That Noelle is a Vermillion? Damn it!' He thought to himself.
