Amara's POV

A few days and I have done nothing, he locked me up inside this guest room not allowing me to leave unless I was with him. My food was always delivered and all I did was nothing. I stared out the balcony doors which were locked. A few nights ago, I was in the dark room with a hell of a lot to say, I knew that Matteo felt threatened to the fact that I was the daughter of the second largest Mafia in the world.

But what was he to feel threatened of? My father barely recognized me as his own, he never even tried to look for us. It's as if my brother was his world, I mean clearly, he was since he was the next heir to the throne. My hands played around with the hem of the blanket before the door opens causing my attention to be on high alert.

Thinking it was the maid handing my dinner it turned out to be Matteo walking inside, he shut the door behind him. His hands dug deep into his pockets as he looked around before staring into my soul.
