Chapter 24: Waiting
Second one to wake up was Kris. He was shocked when he saw that Blake and John were about to kick each other on faces while they were sprawled on the ground, still sleeping.
"These boys…they'll really kick each other faces if sleep any longer." He pulls away John from Blake, who groan and went back to dreamland. John mumbled something in annoyance as he turns away to couch and went back to sleep.
"Mission accomplished" Kris wipes the sweat.
He shakes his head at their childlike behaviour and get himself ready for morning run.
The sun was not that hot so he decided to cure the hangover from last night by running a few laps.
After half an hour, Peter emerges out from bathtub. When he was rubbing the water droplets from body, he saw Kris running around wearing his trek shorts and a grey sando.
"Damn this guy. He trains his body harder than our gym trainer." He chuckles as pull out the dogs from kennel.
"Its time to exercise with uncle, babies." Peter threw open their leashes as the dogs play around with him.
Till then, Kris was tired enough for the day and went for a quick shower.
The nightmare disturbed him quite a lot, causing a mild headache.
"I just want a strong coffee and a romantic novel for the day." He mumbles as he washes away the sweat from body.
{A/N: - Potato author is writing this while laying in bed all day.}
"Why our breakup has to be the day before 2nd anniversary?" he groans loudly as he made his way towards the kitchen.
The glass walls provided him a nice view of Peter playing with dogs.
"Aigoo my baby." Kris bent down on one leg to pick Monie who came in, to get a pat from dad.
Kris enters the kitchen with Monie in his arms and switches on the coffee machine.
Inhaling the aroma of espresso, he takes his seat on the nearby couch with Monie in his lap. He opens the book while Monie decided to take a nap in peaceful lap of dad.
"Alexa, play Instrumental mix on Spotify." Kris commanded the AI as he pats Monie.
"Okay Kris."
Soft sound of instruments playing fills the hall.

'She was the thunderstorm which came with light to brighten his world, but in the end, shaken him to the core.' Kris read the line which unknowingly dragged him back in memories…
["What am I to you?" she asked one afternoon in her usual mellow voice.
Today, Kris was at holiday from training and Amanda too, have taken a day off from school. They were lazing in his studio apartment with Kris reading a novel and Amanda scribbling random lyrics.
When she received no reply from him, she shook Kris a little who was too intrigued in the story.
"You were saying something bae?" He asks as he drew eyes off the book.
"Aww my baby is angry.." He chides her up while squishing her cheeks.
"What am I to you? Better give me a satisfactory answer otherwise I'll steal all your instant noodles packets." Amanda whines like a toddler. For him she was a baby.
Kris puts his right hand on face as he scratched the chin. He was enjoying Amanda's impatient gaze on him.
"Tell me." Amanda says in a little spoiled tone.
"Okay…its like...you're my light." Amanda made a confused face on his comment.
"You're my little sunshine who pulled me out my darkness of unconfident past self. The little thunder who shook my peaceful life." He said dotingly as he bloops her nose.
"Here, I'm trying to be serious. Why are you always flirting with me?"
"Because I want to eat you?" Kris said cradling her in his arms.
"What? Am I chocolate cookie?" Amanda asks as she move a little away from him.
Kris shifts her towards himself back as he says, "You are way delicious than cookie," licking his dry lips.
"Eating me? When?" she rolls back the sleeves and offered him her arm saying,
"Take a bite if you want. I'm sure it will not be tasty than cookies." She spoke adorably, tilting the head a little.
Kris laughed out loudly at her naiveness.
"Aigoo… what should I do of you my little fool." He smiles widely, showing his dimples and he hugs her tightly.
"Jokes apart. You are everything to me. I'm nothing without you. Please stay with me for ever?" Kris asks with a sadness mix with hint of anxiousness in his eyes.
"I will. Will never leave you. Even if you run away, I'll run after you to claim what's mine." She said with a cute pout as she points towards his heart.
"I love you so much"
"Love you too"
Small giggles and sound of rustling of pillows fills the room.]
"I'm still waiting for you Amy. Please claim me back." Kris whispers as a lone tear escape his eyes.
