Chapter 1: Hichhicker
The car stopped with a screech, the window rolled down and a female voice called out, " Ya need a lift?" I could tell she was American, her accent gave it away. I gently nodded, she replied, " Hop in … so where we going?"I stuck my arm out and pointed down a little path into the eerie woods. After turning back she took a glaring stare, gulped and stuttered, " o, oh I, umm ok?" The car started and we were off.
Wheels crunching down the gravel path, I thought it would be my 28th kill today, which meant November was coming to an end as I do one kill per day. We finally got deep enough into the woods so that people wouldn't find the body until it decomposed in the wildlife. It was time, time to get the thirteen inch machete knife out and slit her throat. I left it five minutes then I dived her way to kill her, when she dodged out of the way and swerved the car into a lake. She opened the front door and jumped out of the car whilst it was hurtling towards the water. I tried to open the back door when but it didn't open! I was stuck… SPLASH. I was jolted back into my seat as the car hit the water. The front window was still open so that water came flooding in. I tried to climb Into the front of the car but the water held me back. (whilst being tilted backwards as I was sinking ). I couldn't fight the force of the lake water, it was too strong. I could see the pressure was weakening the back windscreen, I had an advantage point, and that was to kick the window out. I kicked with all my might even though my motion was limited, but then it finally smashed and I could make my escape. I swam to the surface gasping for air and managed to swim to the edge. I then crawled with my remaining energy to dry land.
I stood up, looking around with a hawk eye trying to find my victim. I spotted her not too far away running, running even deeper into the woods, frantically screaming with her arms waving around in the air calling out for help. I started running, no matter how tired I was. I soon caught up to her but I wasn't close enough to grab her and pull her back to get her on the ground to kill. Surprisingly it seemed like she unlocked a new ability because she started running faster and so did I. I wanted to give up but I knew that if she finally got help and got to the police it would be over, all of this would be over. All for nothing, I was only at 27 victims I had 3 more to kill. So I tried my hardest to go faster but my legs were just refusing, I was running on sand, I was running through a bog, I was running uphill and finally she started to slow down and I as I got closer, I could smell the sweat and fear, she knew I was closing in. I stuck my arm out to grab her when suddenly she fell to the floor, she made my life easier. I got my knife and and slice! I slit her throat and blood was spitting out like a volcano erupting. It would only take seconds for her to choke to death. Later I dragged her back to the lake and got some nearby vines and tied some heavy rocks to her body, I then drowned her.
After, I walked back to the road and stood in the middle looking up into the blue sky twirling around in circles wondering what had happened to my life. Then a car came roaring up the road and before I could jump out of the way BANG. My life flashed before my eyes…
