Chapter 32: Chapter 31 Donate to Longbottom

Darren acknowledged Miss Becky's advice, though not expecting any profound insights.

Even if the words weren't comforting, they were undeniably for his own good, and Darren, unafraid, understood the intention behind them. Observing his comprehension,

Betsy visibly relaxed, offering a dismissive remark, "It's hard to talk to you, annoying little cub. Well, stop thinking I'll be friends with you; the Greengrass family friendship won't be so easy to get!"

Darren, scratching his head in mild confusion, had no illusions about befriending her. He never once expressed a desire for friendship, having declined her previous invitation.

The lady's pride was palpable, and though her advice might be warranted, he affirmed, "Okay, I'm not going to be delusional about getting the Greengrass family friendship." Darren vigorously nodded, assuring her that he wasn't a stalker. Betsy, despite her initial frustration, seemed reassured.

As Betsy prepared to leave, Darren hastened to catch up, asking, "Miss Greengrass, can I go to a bathroom before leaving St Mungo?"

His tone was distant, perhaps purposely so, and Betsy found it uncomfortable. Despite her displeasure, she couldn't say anything, given that Darren had clarified earlier that he had no interest in her friendship.

Grudgingly, she nodded and responded in a sarcastic tone, "That's it for the little hemp cubs, and I hope to wait for you outside of St. Mungo soon!"

Darren, unfazed by Miss Greengrass's tone, showed no concern. He assisted her due to a system task, with no intention of pursuing friendship. Indifferent to her feelings, he left her behind and hurried towards the hospital's payment gate.

The sign displayed various forms of support, including gold, silver, and copper trading, as well as Gringotts transfers and lending services. A young lady at the window greeted Darren upon his approach.

"Child, are you looking for someone?" she inquired softly.

"No, no, no, I'm paying for someone. Hello, this is Miss Becky Greengrass's Gringotts key. There were thirty thousand gold gallons in it, and all the gold gallons in it were filled into the accounts of the Longbottoms and his wife," Darren explained, presenting the key.

"Mr. and Mrs. Longbottom?" the lady queried, consulting the roster. Confirming the details, she tossed the key into the air, and it disappeared. Darren, momentarily alarmed, feared that she had forgotten about his thirty thousand gold gallons. However, the lady patiently explained,

"This is the Nightingale, and it will quickly deliver the key to Gringotts, take out the Golden Garon, and send it back."

Darren, intrigued by the concept of a magical Nightingale, mused about Gringotts' efficient system.

A bag soon dropped from the air onto the lady's desk, containing exactly thirty thousand gold gallons. "Very good, exactly thirty thousand gold gallons, all rushed in?" she confirmed.

"Yes, all in it," Darren affirmed. Not wanting to miss out on any rewards, he ensured that every last gold gallon was deposited.

"Okay, it's been charged, and the current Longbottom couple's account balance is 28,001 gallons. They had been in arrears for a long time, and if they hadn't paid it again, even if Dumbledore came, he would have to take them with him."

Curious about the Longbottoms' financial situation, Darren inquired, "How many gold gallons do the Longbottoms usually use a month? How long will this remaining Garon last?"

"Well, I'll see. They'll use about five hundred gallons a month. Recently, Mrs. Longbottom's offer to use the latest treatment plan has increased the cost of treatment by two hundred gallons, and the remaining gallons can be used for about three more years.

By the way, kid, you're supposed to be donating, right? Want to tell Mrs. Longbottom?" the lady suggested.

"No, thank you for your help. I'm just an ordinary little cub; don't you want to spread my face!" Darren declined with a smile, waving as he left the window.

As he departed, he glanced back at the ward where Mr. and Mrs. Longbottom were located, sincerely hoping for the system to offer similar tasks in the future.

[Ding, congratulations to the host for completing the mission perfectly, obtaining Voldemort's bloodline, and gaining the Transfiguration Talent +2].

Voldemort's Bloodline: A Slytherin bloodline that fuses to gain the Master Serpent Language, and Gain Voldemort's Complex Gaze (automatically fused after acquisition).

Darren was taken aback by the unexpected reward. Is this system crazy? Harry had a piece of Voldemort's soul and faced Dumbledore's scrutiny at King's Cross. Meanwhile, Darren, who somehow obtained Voldemort's bloodline, feared that Dumbledore might use Avada Kedavra...

[System, can I return this reward?] ]

[Ding, the system asks the host not to make unreasonable requests].

Darren: "..."

He sighed and reluctantly accepted another reward from the system. Transfiguration Talent +2.

Previously at level 4, his Transfiguration talent now reached 6, an ordinary student's proficiency. Initially, at the beginning of the school year, he had exchanged Holy Father values for talent points, boosting his Transfiguration to 10.

He maintained an image of an ordinary student to avoid unnecessary attention and jealousy.

Darren pondered on his newfound talents and considered the possibilities. The day unfolded with a full meal, and he could still discern the difference in taste between each dish.

As he left St Mungo's and caught up with Betsy, Darren thought about the various challenges and rewards that the wizarding world had in store for him. Little did he know that the tasks ahead would test not only his magical abilities but also his wit and resilience.

[Ding, the adventure continues for the little cub Darren. The wizarding world awaits your presence. Enjoy your journey!]

With the system's announcement, Darren couldn't help but feel a mix of anticipation and uncertainty for the adventures that lay ahead.
