Chapter 1: The 11th Branch - Dark Ages
In the small and peaceful town of Hannover is a man made cave, as the mechanical gates open two green banners: A reindeer head on top of a shield appear, and at the center an ancient tree stands at the center and in its 11th branch tells the story of a brown haired man with the strength enough to go on par against the guild leader. The tale of a man that never took off a mask his name is. . .
[1] "Alexander Snow, from now on you shall be a part of our convention" At last the priest arrived to the last person in the area which is me, my parents were lacking the money to pay for taxation so the church took me away, my parents told me to stay silent so I will do as they say "Excellent you don't even waste my time by talking, you'll do just fine" the priest walked all the way to the altar calling for names of people I have yet to heard of "Krysalla snow, Kerion snow, Georgios Snow, and finally Alexander Snow" As our names were mentioned we each step forward under the glass pane art's light and overshadowed by the cross of christ himself, again the priest speaks "Welcome to the 23rd Paladin order, Guards take them to their chambers!" The templar guards took us down a hatch under the altar and took us to poorly made rooms, the place where I'll stay on the bright side it has a bed, some sheets and a pillo- the guards arrive again to give us food, the three of us boys received food for the horses, "It even has food" a tear rolls down my eyes a plate full of food, I could never be so blessed.
[2] "And another day is completed where I have served the lord well, for this let us feast my fellow workers of god!" the guards and other priests cheered at the speech I gave. The Priests, Templars, and I ate food such as chicken and beef, "Let us eat this bread, the body of god and drink this wine, the blood of christ, to celebrate another wonderful day" 'Amen' said the men in the room as they began eating once they finish what I had proclaimed. And then the guards approached me "What do we feed the children?" I turned my head to them and did not even thought of what they should eat, after all everything I need is right here no one else matters but me and god "Feed them the food of the horses, but the girl. . . feed her a dead rat" the guards looked at each other and then asked "a rat sir? even with the pla-" now this is just getting infuriating "Yes! feed her a damn rat! we'll then see if god really needs a woman in his home!" the guards panicked and turned around to go outside.
[3] Thrown off into the cell as if I were a simple tool, I grunted as I were then kicked to the gut and forced to stand up, why god? why was I born a woman, the door is slammed making a loud noise that made me jump up to my bed in fear ". . .W-hy" my stomach grumbled as I starved, my father forgot to feed me again or did he. . . the time flies and eventually we were given food, I stood at the bars holding onto them as I saw them get food that I wanted for a long time, and when the guards approached my cell they gave me the food I were getting "R-Rats!" the guard smirked "What about rats?" I look at them as their guts flowed to the plate, "But there's a plague from what I hear" The guards then lost his smirk and opened the cell kicking me to the wall "First a brat, secondly a woman, listen here you need to prove that you are worthy of entering the house of god, because you are the finest woman your village has yet look at you being pathetic" I hold my gut choking out saliva not even able to reply back, the guard drops the plate and it breaking to pieces as the blood of the rat spilled in the floor.
The hour passes as I starve I look at the ceiling then down at the rat, I cry as I pick up the rat injuring my hand in the process thanks to the broken plate and I began eating on it, truly its a cruel fate to be a woman. . .
