"No no nooo!!!" I woke up sweating and breathing heavily..I checked my surroundings and my eyes spotted my alarm clock " 2:30am" I sighed and laid back on my bed, unable to sleep.. My life has been like this ever since that incident; Every night being woken up by that same nightmare over and over again... If only i'd listen to my mom, if only I didn't go out that night, none of this would be happening right now... I was so lost in thought that I didn't realise it was 6:30am already.. I sighed and got off the bed.. I walked into the bathroom to brush my teeth and take a shower.. Oh I forgot to introduce myself; I'm Alberto Rodriguez, I'm 18 yrs old, 5'11 feet tall and I'm the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Rodriguez... My father is late and my mom is currently battling with cancer but trust me, she's not a weakling.. my mom is very strong willed.. I've been doing a part time job and also saving up for my mom's treatment .. I can't afford to lose her; she's the only I have; her and my best friend; Fernando.. And also, there's something that baffles me, it's my looks.. not to brag but.. my beauty is out of this world.. you could literally mistake me for a girl... *Back to the present* I was done showering as I wrapped a towel on my waist and walked out the bathroom.. I head to my closet and searched for what to wear "ah! Found it" I brought out the clothes and laid it on the bed.. it was a black hoodie with a "Mickey mouse" design on it, a black rugged trousers and white sneakers.. I was done dressing, I sprayed some cologne, grabbed my backpack and headed downstairs for breakfast....

The mouth-watering aroma of jollof Rice hits my nostrils as I descended the stairs "Buenos dias mama" I greeted as I kissed her cheek and settled down in the dining table "Buenos días mi bebé, ¿dormiste bien?(good morning my baby, did you sleep well?) She asked and smiled while adding the finishing touches on the rice "Estoy bien mamá, ¿cómo está tu salud?(I'm fine mom, how is your health?) "Ah! I'm strong as a bull.. you know your mama is very strong right" she replied while I chuckled " I know mom" she was done cooking as she dished out some food for me and herself "Here mom, lemme help with that" I offered to help "No! Sit!" "Yes ma'am" I hurriedly sat down as she placed the plates of food on the dining table and settled down too "Eat!" I picked up my spoon and scooped a portion of rice and placed it in my mouth "hmm wow!!... This is so delicious!!" I chewed the food slowly while savouring the taste "I'm glad you like it" my mom smiled and I increased my speed in eating... Soon, we were done eating. I cleared the table and grabbed my backpack "well I'd better be going... Don't wanna be late for school" I said as I walked towards the door and opened it "alright dear.. make sure to stay away from trouble" my mom said sternly . I chuckled " ok I will.. bye mom!" I said as I shut the door... I sighed and started walking to school ..
