Chapter 38: The past

After a few minutes had already passed I had finally mustered up the courage to exit the bathroom after cleanings myself up and regaining my composure, but after doing so I unfortunately ran into Maria on my way up and I had no way to avoid her.

"Hey what's up? Why were you running and why was Emilio running after you?"

"Huh? Oh I uhh, I was umm"

"We just had a little misunderstanding and I had lost my temper that's all." said Mr. Martinez cutting me off as he walked up to us.

"Oh Mr. Emilio good morning. I didn't know that you were here." said Maria a bit startled and so was I.

"Yes I didn't mean to intrude, but I happened to overheard."

"Oh. Well it's no secret so you weren't intruding." she said, and he smiled at her nodding then he turned to me and said.

"Miss Rodriquez, may I speak to you in my office please?"

"Umm" I said looking over at Maria, and she nodded then excused herself, so I agreed and followed him into the elevator then up to his office.
