"Have you seen the news?" Eva asked her crazy bestie via video call, who was on the way to his parents' apartment for a family dinner. 

"What news? I hope it's something good?" He asked as he picked up his phone.

"I sent you a link," Eva said before laughing excitedly. 

He dropped the tablet he was using for the video call on his lap before he opened her message and clicked on the link. 

A smirk formed on his lips when he saw the headline and the ones that followed. They were all news about Eva Newton and Jeremy Williams' supposed engagement. The rumours had graduated from just speculations about the two of them seeing each other to engagement.

"This was your doing?" He asked, picking up his tablet.
