Chapter 16: TROUBLE
6:30 in the morning.
"Auntie, I'm heading out already!"
The air seems fresh and the breeze felt cold, the smell of the raindrops were everywhere, pavements were still damp, but it all feels like a wonderful day.
"A new day" Euna smiles and went straight to the bus stop.
The school become busy, students were everywhere, despite of how the school being manage, it still remains on top, and one of the students' choices to study.
"Euna" Yohan called from the back.
"Have you seen Derek?" he ask looking worried.
"Why, did you already miss your lover?" she choose to tease him.
"What?! No!...
...it's just that,.. nevermind he'll show up later it's too early yet, that's why.
"Why, did something happen between you two? Does the inseparable romance were going to break up already?"
"Why, are you jealous?" he joined her instead.
"..." Euna couldn't believe the situation flip 360 degree.
"Let's just go, it will soon be time!"
"Hey, you started it, I'm just playing with you."
"I know, by the way, does these school really like this, it stinks!"
"You noticed?" Yohan knew what she meant, the school was so obviously disgusting, students were paying tuitions but the cafeteria seems bankrupt, teacher's couldn't even had their own stand with rich kids, and the principal can't make decisions without sucking up to the Director.
Yohan continued,"...yes, it's like these as far as I can remember within those 3 years I've been here.
"Oh, ... and did you noticed that, teacher X really has tricks in his sleeves."
"Why did you say so ?", then the bell rang; it's time for the first class.
At the moment, teacher X came in with papers and his hands. Derek just came in also.
Yohan failed to know what Euna thinks.
"Man, why are you late?"
"Dude, I was on time!"
Yohan could see that his smile was somewhat forced, where did the hype Derek he knows? What's really going on ?
The discussion just started, and teacher X bombard various questions.
"Let see, why don't you try to answer what's on the board" pointing to Euna.
Euna gets up and proceeded to take the chalk.
She finished it in no time.
"That's right, I heard you wanted to be a prosecutor...
Euna went back to her seat.
...real students should be like that, well I couldn't blame those with different upbringing the same with people who don't have parents." Teacher X started lecturing morals as if he knew everything, while looking directly at Derek.
Euna felt sensitive about what their teacher just said and she was about to retaliate, Derek stood up his seat and exclaimed:
"What do you mean by that ? My parents had nothing to do with the things I choose to do!" and he walks out.
"See, that's what I'm telling you, where does the fruit fell from ?...
Of course from the tree."
"Mr. Lee, tell your friend to see me after class"
And the day went on, Derek on the other hand didn't came back, and Yohan told the other teacher's that he went home not feeling well.
"Yohan, wait up."
"Euna, there's absolutely going on with Derek, I need to find him first !"
"Wait, maybe this could help."
