Chapter 17: Trust
"What are you saying?"
"I think that's the case, remember the day I went to the teacher's office, I didn't heard everything, but teacher X was lecturing Derek that he committed a grave mistake, that he needed to tell his parents to come over and him to admit he definitely did it, that way he would be given a suspension rather than expulsion."
"So you think, that wrong thing he did was cheating?"
"What could else be ? The rule on immediate expulsion was cheating, others were punishment and expulsion could only happen if it had accumulated more than enough trouble in school."
"Yeah, you're right!
Fuck, just because he gained a high score in exam he's already cheating, these place really sucks!"
Derek couldn't be expelled immediately because in the first place he wasn't a trouble seeker, he knows his limits very well.
"Doesn't this school favored rich kids?"
"Yes, but Derek never told anyone about his family status, his car was a low-key either, he preferred to enjoy a normal life and he just told me about it and maybe you knew it already."
Derek's family owned the top toy industry in the country, being the son of the famous CEO, he choose not to be flashy even his parents information was filled that his father was only a financial manager.
Those people that are around him would only knew the truth, but Euna who once hangs out with them already sensed that Derek is not from their level.
"Thanks, I need to talk to him, what is he planning to do."
"If you want to help him, let's prove his innocence."
"We?"
"Yes, I hate that teacher, he needs to learn some lesson."
"Woah! What's the plan then ?"
"Ask Derek, if he plans to transfer school, if it's, ...prevent him."
"That's all?"
"For the mean time, and don't tell him what we're planning to do."
"Why? I can convince him if he would know."
"Just do what I told you."
Then they separate ways.
At the side of the city, Derek were venting all his anger, how could he admit a thing he never did? That place sucks!
Ben, his driver watched him with sorrow, it was his first time seeing how preoccupied Derek is.
The young man who is easy going even after a beating with his father still manages to smile, but these past days he seems too distant and aloof.
"Boy, why don't you call your friend to have a sparring match with you?"
"...I.. think I suck!"
"I couldn't makeup these messy life, I shouldn't be dragging Yohan with me."
Derek thought it a lot, expulsion is big enough, that having a chance to be accepted in other school is less, one thing more was it's already the end of the year it's only about months they will graduate already.
He knows that Yohan has and always been there for him, he was his brother after all.
If he can sacrificed everything to him, he should do the same as well to Yohan.
