Chapter 1: Chp 1: Nothing.....?

"..."

As I abruptly open my eyes, I am greeted by an endless sea of stars shimmering in the vast expanse above. I stare in bewilderment, pondering how I ended up here, and, most importantly:

"Where am I?"

Silence accompanies my contemplation. I rise from the ground and survey my surroundings. I turn my gaze from side to side, then behind me, only to discover nothing but the void. Looking down, I notice that the floor reflects the night sky, adorned with its brilliant stars.

I bring a hand to my face, grappling with the stark reality of the situation. Fear and confusion swirl within me, but above all, I crave answers. After collecting my thoughts for some time, I examine myself, realizing I am some sort of ethereal, white entity.

Once again, I direct my gaze towards the reflective floor, this time to catch a glimpse of my own form. I see a being of pure whiteness, devoid of facial features, and where my hair should be, there is only a swirling white flame.

I calm myself and resolve to explore this place, to find a way out or someone or something. With determination, I head north, or what I believe to be north.

After hours upon hours of walking, I lose track of time, for throughout my time here, not once has the sun risen.

Years begin to pass; I don't know how many, but my will never breaks. It remains as strong as when I arrived. However, as more time passes, decades, I presume, I begin to wonder: what's the point of all this? What's my endgame?

As my thoughts begin to turn darker, I suddenly hear the sound of glass breaking. I gaze upon the once brilliant sky and am assaulted with a kaleidoscope of colors and shapes so unimaginable that I begin to lose myself in its impossibility.

Suddenly, a figure, both familiar and unknown, both strong and fragile, falls from the kaleidoscope, diverting my attention from its mesmerizing display.

The being lands without making a single sound. For a couple of seconds, they remain motionless, but their gaze locks onto me as soon as they spot me. As they approach, I remain still, for this is the most interesting event in decades.

When they stand only a couple of feet in front of me, they finally speak.

"And who might you be, little one?"

Their voice is so mesmerizing that I can't help but revel in its melodious quality. After a few seconds, I realize that they are addressing me. After composing myself, I respond:

"I've forgotten who I am. I've been here for a long time, and with no one to talk to, I've forgotten some things about myself. I'm sorry."

The figure's eyes, deep pools of enigmatic wisdom, seem to understand my plight. They nod slowly, their gaze never leaving mine.

"It's not uncommon to lose oneself in this place," they say, their voice still carrying that hypnotic quality. "Time here behaves differently, and the isolation can erode even the strongest memories."

I'm drawn to their presence, their aura of knowledge and compassion. I can't help but ask, "Who are you? Where did you come from?"

They offer a faint, enigmatic smile. "I am a Deity of the cosmos, a seeker of forgotten realms and knowledge. I stumbled upon this place, much like you, and now we find ourselves together in this mysterious void."

As I listen to their words, a glimmer of hope sparks within me. Perhaps, in this strange encounter, I've found someone who might help me unravel the mysteries of this surreal existence.

"What am I? Am I dead? What happens to me now?" I ask, my voice a mix of uncertainty and hope, as I seek answers in this enigmatic encounter.

"Easy now, little one. Let me ascertain what has befallen you before we continue with the questions," they say, leaving me with my mouth slightly open, a host of new inquiries at the tip of my tongue.

The Deity extends their hand towards my forehead, and as their ethereal fingers make contact, a surge of images and emotions floods my mind. I see glimpses of my past life, moments long forgotten, faces of loved ones, and a world that feels distant and foreign.

"You are not dead, well, not completely" the Deity says softly. "But you are far removed from the world you once knew. You've been drawn into a realm between realms, a place where time flows differently, and the rules of existence are ever-changing."

Relief washes over me, knowing that I'm not lost to the void but still perplexed about my current state. "What does this place hold for me, then?"

The Deity withdraws their hand, and their gaze seems to pierce through the very fabric of reality. "This realm is a tapestry of forgotten dreams and uncharted possibilities. It can be both a prison and a crucible of transformation. You have the opportunity to rediscover yourself, to unlock the secrets of your existence, and perhaps even reshape destiny."

"What do I have to do?" I ask, eager for guidance. "Nothing really. I can offer you the chance to reincarnate in the body of one of your variations across the multiverse, or I can erase—" I cut them off, my decision clear even before they finish speaking.

"I want to reincarnate!" I exclaim with excitement, the possibility of reincarnating into one of my favorite worlds already dancing in my mind.

The Deity nods approvingly, a knowing smile gracing their features. "Very well, little one. Reincarnation it shall be, and I shall leave the choice of the world to you."

I begin to ponder, faced with an array of worlds to choose from. Marvel, DC, Danmachi, Arifureta—all tempting in their own way. There are so many options that I find myself overwhelmed. I take a moment to consider more practical and less perilous alternatives.

After a brief period of reflection, I arrive at my decision. "I would like to reincarnate in the Harry Potter world, please."

The Deity's smile deepens, and they nod in acknowledgment of my choice. "Ah, the wizarding world of Harry Potter, a place of magic and wonder. An excellent choice, little one."

As they speak those words, a sensation of transition envelops me. I feel myself being drawn into the very fabric of the universe, hurtling through dimensions and time. The kaleidoscope of existence whirls around me, and I gradually take on a new form, one that belongs to the realm of witches and wizards.

After what feels like hours, I find myself gazing at an unfamiliar ceiling. It takes a moment for my bewilderment to subside as I sit upright. I look down at my hands, and the first thing I notice is how tiny they are.

Without hesitation, I jump out of bed and rush toward the full-body mirror in the corner of the room.

Standing before the mirror, I see a young boy gazing back at me, probably around 5 or 7 years old, with jet-black hair and piercing blue eyes. I examine my clothes and realize I'm dressed in a plain black T-shirt and black shorts.

My reflection holds my gaze, particularly my icy blue eyes, and I become lost in their depth. Suddenly, a searing pain shoots through my head, and with a thud, I collapse onto the floor.

A/N: Some of you may notice another novel on my profile titled "The Wyvern - MCU," but if you read its synopsis, it states that I'm not the author. That's entirely true. So, please don't expect the same level of writing in this fanfic, as this is my first-ever attempt at writing something myself. I've spent hours on this chapter, meticulously checking for spelling mistakes and ensuring it maintains clarity and flow.

If you have any ideas on how I can improve moving forward, please feel free to let me know.

I love you all <3
