Chapter 11: 11 My Dragon God Mother
The next day, I was scheduled to train mana control with Floki. When dawn broke, I brought my familiars to Flokis house. Without telling him where we were going I had him follow me. We went into the Dragon Queens domain. Upon reaching the patio, Floki felt pressure on his shoulders similar to what I had faced. Once on the chair I claimed prior Tag held Floki with telekinesis. Using a sound nullifying spell she chatted with him resulting in a grin on his face while her eyes were narrowed. We began the visit with a cup of tea and cookies made from my memories of my original world.
Tag started off "Yeah, I stole the recipes from your mind. Hopefully, when you're done with your training, no one will be able to breach your mind." After our tea and cookies with a wave of her hand, the patio was emptied and only three cushions remained. Sitting on the cushions Tag explained "First we must clear the mine. This way you can enter your inner mined realm. In this realm you will organize your thoughts and create shields around them. Going into you mind realm requires complete nothingness." I sat on the cushion attempting to clear my mind, every time that I felt I was about to enter my mind realm I was hit with a stick.
Tag explained "You are to enter your mind realm not sleep." Just to enter my inner mind took me 2 weeks. Upon entering my mind, I was greeted with a black floor with a dome around the outside. There was a moon casting a shine upon the floor. I was standing in the center alone until Tag entered my inner mind palace. She explained "Now you must manifest a sorting system for your memories." Thinking of what could be so secure in the medieval world was a touch screen laptop. Once the laptop was created, Tag touched my forehead with her index and middle finger. Out of my body, translucent bubbles poured out. Tag explained "Those are your memories, lock them away in your device and categories them."
This process took a week and a half before all of my memories were sorted. They were all placed into folders labeled and locked with passwords and finger print locking. I had dummy files made to hide memories. My rituals and runes were all categorized. Once I was finished Tag entered my mind again, grabbing the laptop she began to search around but since the laptop was fingerprint locked she couldn't access it. She gave me a day of rest but then my defense building began.
When building defenses Tag explained "You will build a layered shield to protect your memories. Start from the center of your mind and place runes. The runes may be carved directly onto the floor as this is all an illusion in your mind. Under the laptop I carved the protection rune onto the floor. While carving, I invisioned a hexagonal shield, I also imagined the shield being a foot thick. Before I placed the next runes around the outside. Tag said "Now you will build the left layer but not with the protection rune but rather with the security one. Imagine an alarm that rings if someone crosses the barrier. For if someone is in your mind you should know. Then layer the shields like so. After another 2 weeks I had 10 shield barriers and 6 alarms. I placed the alarms sporadically so that Legilimens have to figure out each layer to keep me oblivious.
I used memories while I built my defenses to play music. I added song memories to my inner defense layers. This would notify me and play a loud song in my inner mind scape. This would hopefully freak out anyone attempting to breach my defenses. While listening to Eminem I could see Tag on the outside singing along to Rap God. She didn't miss a word as she had copied most of my music. She had a love for rap and pop. In my previous life I had listened to millions of songs. While organizing my memories, I was able to isolate just the mp3 for songs and add them over each other to create a perfect recording. I also edited the movies i had viewed creating files for art such as music, movies and paintings. I messed with the second defensive shell, adding a virus pop-up attack that would attack invaders with a heads up display filled with pop-ups. Many of the pop ups had flashing lights and they all had messages. The messages talked about how "Curiosity killed the cat" , "Turn around now" and warnings about possible deaths. I used a memory from the show 1000 ways to die to add more pop-ups.
Once my defenses were up, Tag tested my walls by sending silent probes, and then she sent a blatant attack. She broke through to my second barrier only to go blind from pop-ups. The ads made her lose direction, allowing me to force her back to the first shield. When the first shield was healed, I thought it would block the pop-up attack, but I was wrong. The pop-ups only left her view when she left my mind scape. With my success Tag a bright smile on her face. She said "I expected this to take at least 3 months but you not only built your defenses but also blocked my attack. I would also add a blinding enchantment to the shields. Most people don't realize they can enchant their mind palace. Since it's in your mind, it will always have mana."
She continued "Now that this is done I will show you some of my draconic runes. They work the same as your norse runes. I will only share some of them such as the dragon flame rune which will allow you to forge with higher temperatures. The next runes will be a protection rune, gravity rune, and finally the soul rune. My runes require more mana but are often far stronger as Draconic Runes are far older. The soul rune has many uses, but it can be used in rituals to grant abilities." For the next few weeks I drew the runes without mana and the third week I attempted to inscribe them. After making ten runes my mana depleted to fast causing me to need rest. After my impromptu nap I was going to practice some more when Tag interrupted me.
Tag said "That is enough for today but I think you might want to have soul sight. Am I right?" Without thinking I answered yes. She told me to lay down on the patio. Once I was laying down I closed my eyes. I thought she would have to put a rune on my body for me to activate, which I wasn't wrong only the rune had to be placed on my temple. While sitting Tag cut my arm from elbow to wrist on my inner arm. She collected the blood in a bowl as I struggled to hold my arm as she squeezed to get more blood. Once I was finished she used magic to sew the cut with my skin. After she was done it was as if I was never cut. Once that was done she mixed my blood with ground up golden dragon shell. She used a needle to push the mixture into my right temple creating the soul rune. When she was done I had a killer headache, requiring another nap.
Waking up hours later, I used a tranfigured mirror to look at my first tattoo. The rune was a rose gold and looked like an eye inside of a diamond. Tag told me "Push mana through the rune." Like marvels cyclops I put my hand over my temple. Once mana was in the rune my eyes started to glow and I could see my own soul. My soul was inside my body but was only attached to my brain and heart. In my soul I could see 1 crystal orb and another orb with water inside my soul. As I looked at Tag I saw her soul had 10 crystals 5 that were shining like a sun. When I saw this my eyes had squinted. Tag explained "First I'm letting you see my soul. Using the soul rune we can hide our souls. You will have to draw it in your inner mind for it to be constantly active. The orbs you see in our souls are our mana. First the core is created, and then it is filled. It is filled with a mist that will turn liquid, then will crystallize. Then once you have 10 crystals you have to compress them into a star core. Once you have 10 star cores you should be able to compress that but I have yet to see another person survive the heavenly tribulation. Heavenly tribulations happen when compressing cores as the world is attempting to limit those who can achieve God hood. I called you a godling earlier because you will pass many tribulations in the futures I could view. I can't look directly at your destiny which with my strength is quite fascinating. I had to view your brother and sisters' future to see what you are destined for."
